So Many Stories So Little Time
I started reading young and just didn't stop. I read fast. Faster than anyone else I know. I can sit down with a 500 page novel for breakfast and be done with it by dinner while still leading a fairly normal day.
Then about a year or so ago I did what I'd always told myself I wanted to do. I started writing. I write what I like so writing is a lot like reading for me except it takes a LOT LONGER. Then when the adventure is over and you're ready to move on to the next one you have to go back and edit and proofread. I enjoy reliving the adventure and proofing / editing but it takes a good chunk of time. Also, who, cares, if, there, is, an, extra, comma, somewhere... I'll tell you who cares. People who write reviews. They REALLY hate commas. Also, semi-colons. ;;;;;;; I'd never used a semi colon before in my life except to make winkie faces.
I feel better now that I got that out. I'm working on Book 3 of the Son of the Keeper series which looks like it may end up being a trilogy as the final battle seems to be looming closer than I had anticipated it would. Who knows though. Like I said, I live it as I write it so the story takes me places that I never initially envisioned plenty of times.
Hoping to get some more writing knocked out this weekend since it's hot as hell outside. Thank you so much for following and I hope you enjoy the books!

Book 2 is Out
Son of the Keeper Book 2 "Weight of the Crown" is released. This one is taking us to a land where magic is being introduced to the world in a pretty abrupt fashion. It's turning into an accept or perish kind of scenario for all of earth and there isn't a ton of time to think about it. I really enjoyed writing this one and looking forward to Book 3 to see how close the world comes to extinction. Assuming it manages to survive. On one side there's a an army nicknamed 'Legion' full of monsters and demons who control most of the known dimensions and on the other side there's a young hero with a lot of 'potential' leading the survivors of two thousand years worth of beat down. I'm excited to see where it all goes.
Here's the links to the first one and the second one. The first book in the series "Principles of Magic" is free tomorrow (May 2nd) if you want to snag a copy.
Enjoy and let me know what you think!

I Can't Wait to See Where it Goes
I'm getting close to the end of the second book in the 'Son of the Keeper' series and the whole series has gone a completely different direction than I originally thought when I set off on this journey. I love the way the story and the characters end up taking on a life of their own and I end up just trying to document their story as I see it unfold in my head. I really like the direction the second book has gone and am excited to get it wrapped up and then see what happens in the third edition!
For anyone who hasn't had a chance to check out the Zournal Series the first book will be free today (4-20) on Amazon if you want to grab a copy!

Got The Link Squared Away On GoodReads
Technical stuff gets in the way of the fun parts of writing. Which is the writing! That and the whole day job thing! I'd love to be able to do this full time. Talk about a dream job. In an effort to get there here is the link to the first book in my new series. It's more Sci-Fi-Fantasy-Swords and Sorcery than Zombies. Although, it's me so there is a zombie or two in it... I just can't help myself!!!

A New Journey Awaits
Now that Steve has settled down and quit typing in the Zournal to enjoy a well earned retirement I've set my eyes on a different type of tale. I have a story I want to tell about a young boy named Chris who finds out he is the heir to a kingdom from a magic oriented universe. A universe his people were forced out of over 2,000 years ago. They now call the earth home and wage a constant battle against evil.
A battle they are slowly losing. In the first book ("Son of the Keeper - Book 1 - Principles of Magic") Chris learns the history of the universe and his people and starts on the path to rule them.
Book 1 is currently out on Amazon and I'm looking forward to keeping the adventure going in book 2.
