Sound the Trumpets!
Hear ye, hear ye! Come one, come all, gather round (you short folks get up front). For today is auspicious. Today is great. For today, we herald the arrival of Follow My Lead into publication!
Ok, maybe I got a little carried away there, with the trumpets and all (c'mon, who doesn't love a good trumpet?) but I am so, so incredibly excited that I get to share Follow My Lead with you today. Jason and Winn's story is very dear to me, and just whole lot of fun and adventure. I highly recommend visiting Noble Notes – lots of new and wonderful tidbits there. Also, the Reviews are in, so check them out!
While you're perusing around — don't forget to visit the new Contest! I'm going to be giving away bundles of fantastic books, from the most exciting names in Historical Romance.
In other news, the Follow My Lead Blog Tour has exploded! I am at multiple places today, being asked the hard questions at Night Owl Romance (which gave Follow My Lead a Top Pick!), and the Romantic Times Book Reviews.
So go on! Get out there! Pick up a copy! (And if you do, send me a picture – I'll feature it on the blog tomorrow!)
Happy, Happy Reading!

One Day More!

At Books-a-Million in Maryland, courtesy of Kate's intrepid brother.
The count down clock is getting mighty low on numbers, and there is only one more day before Follow My Lead hits the shelves. (In fact, my brother already spotted it at his local Books-a-Million!)
For the next stop in the Follow My Lead Blog Tour, I'm over at Babbling about Books and More today with the uber fabulous Katiebabs – who loved the book enough to not only allow me to take over her blog for the day and list all the "Reasons to Read" Follow My Lead, but we're doing a giveaway too! So come on over and check it out!
Until tomorrow (eek!), Happy Reading!

Blond, Brunette, or Redhead?
The Follow My Lead Blog Tour continues!
Today I'll be at the Vauxhall Vixens, and we will be discussing that rarest of rare Regency creatures: the Redheaded Hero. Stop on by and tell us how you like your hero: blond, brunette or redhead? (FYI, in Follow My Lead, Jason's a ginger. He works it.)
Also, last day to enter my current Contest! I'll be picking the winner on April 29th… which is tomorrow!
Until then –
Happy Reading everyone!

Pictoral History of the RT Convention
I spent last weekend at the Romantic Times Convention, here in Downtown Los Angeles. It was a wonderful weekend (although the conference was 5 days long, I could only attend for a couple of those days) where I got to meet readers, authors and industry folk, and of course hanging out with friends. (And getting scads of books. Seriously, I think I can build a wall out of my TBR pile.) And what would a trip to a convention be without a quick pictoral history of the weekend?
Note: most of these were taken by the estimable Liza Palmer, and her hipstamatic app. Which makes the photos moody. And yellow.
I met up with friends almost immediately, and got down to the serious business of seminars, meeting people, and seeing all the cool stuff everyone was wearing. But we didn't whip out our cameras until lunch, wherein Megan Crane showed me her pizza. (Not like that.)
After the pizza, Megan shared with Elizabeth Hoyt and I her chocolate truffles. (Not like that, either. You have a dirty mind.)
After a day of networking, and, um, eating, the next morning was Book Fair signing. Over 300 authors in one place! It was a bit of a madhouse.
I arranged my gorgeous new bookmarks in a intricate double fan design, which very quickly degenerated into a mass of chaos. But hey, they looked pretty in the beginning, right?
And as I was seated next to Brenda Novak, I couldn't help by sneak this pic – she's wonderfully nice, and was swarmed by fans!
Of course, Liza and her hipstamatic app came by and took the absolute WORST picture of me, signing books. Do I even have my eyes open? I can't tell.
All in all, for me RT was a complete whirlwind, informative, and loads of fun. Did you go? What did you think?

New Website, New Giveaway!
Isn't the new website pretty? I'm terribly, terribly pleased with it, and am so happy I finally get to share it with all of you! (BIG props to the lovely people at Waxcreative for all their hard work.) I highly recommend perusing at your leisure – especially the bookshelf. There's lots of wonderful goodies in there, from excerpts to "Noble Notes" – tidbits of information about the books. Also, make sure you check out the bio page, my upcoming events, and sign up for the Newsletter!
Now, in the past few weeks, while the website was undergoing it's metamorphosis, I restricted my online self mainly to Twitter and Facebook. And I've been learning A LOT about Facebook. Case in point:
About two weeks ago, Follow My Lead received a starred review in Publisher's Weekly. This admittedly brightened my day – and I thought I should spread the joy, and decided to have a giveaway on my Facebook Author Page. I posted that anyone who wanted to enter should leave a comment on my post, and at then end of a prescribed period of time, I'd randomly select a commenter to win my very last ARC (advanced reader copy) of Follow My Lead.
Turns out, this is a big no-no. Running a contest on Facebook is a lot more complicated than one might think.
The rules basically boil down to this: To do a giveaway or a contest on Facebook, you can't have people have to take any action on their part, beyond "liking" your Page. (No leaving comments, or taking pictures and uploading them, etc.) AND, you have to be able to say the contest is actually taking place off-site, say on your blog or a third party application loaded onto your Facebook page, thereby protecting Facebook from any potential litigation.
Understand? Yeah, it took me a while to figure it out, too.
If you do not comply with these rules, you can be subject to having your Facebook Page shut down and/or a $10,000 fine.
Now, did I honestly think that a little ol' romance novelist with a grand total of 1200 fans would be caught if I did a giveaway? Not so much. I'm small potatoes. Did I want to risk getting fined $10,000? No, I did not.
I took down the contest within minutes of learning this. Pled ignorance and mea culpa to anyone who had already entered and promised that when I managed to run the contest within Facebook's guidelines, they would all remain entered.
Well, now that my blog is back up and running, I'm happy to say that day has finally arrived!
I'm pleased to announce the KateNoble.com Premiere Party Giveaway!
THE RULES:
Go 'Like' my Kate Noble Author Page on Facebook. (If you're already a fan you can skip this step.)
Then leave me a comment on this blog post telling me what you think of the new website. (Do you like the colors? The layout? Let me know what you think!)
One random commenter will be chosen the winner on Wednesday, April 13th.
That's it!
THE PRIZE:
Since I made you wait so long for it, I'm supplementing the prize package:
Not only will you receive my very last ARC of Follow My Lead, (last chance to get one before May 3rd!) I'm throwing in a $25 Amazon Gift Card.
That's right, I'm bribing you for your forgiveness.
(side note: as stated above, those readers that entered the aborted giveaway remain entered. I have your names filed.)
I hope you all enjoy the site, enjoy the contest, and are as excited as I am for the upcoming release of FOLLOW MY LEAD!
Happy Reading!

Sorry, We're Closed
But we won't be closed for long!
Just a quick note to let all of you know that the blog is going to be down for a week or two: we're planning some big changes over here in the hamlet of Nobleburg, and until they're implemented, I won't be able to update you properly on all the minutiae of my daily life, the coffee shops I frequent, how the BF's doing in Call of Duty, and the general goings on of Romancelandia.
Not to fear, soon enough we will be back, better than ever! But, in the meantime, if you're dying for a little Noble News, visit me on my Facebook Author Page, or on Twitter. I'm there. All the time.
Until we're back up, happy reading everyone!
