As the year winds to a close...
It's been a while since the last update, because there's been a lot going on. There will be more updates in the new year--new paperback cover! updates on translations abroad!--but I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for the love and support you've given Everything I Never Told You (and me) over the past months. This novel has found so many champions who've read it and spread the word about it, and none of this would have happened without readers like you. Thank you.

Amazon's Top Book of 2014 (!!)
Some amazing news: Amazon just revealed its Best Books of 2014, and Everything I Never Told You is #1--their choice for best book of the year!
I'm still a bit in shock as I write this. In a good way.

This is a pretty amazing list--including works by many writers I really admire, including Anthony Doerr's All the Light We Cannot See, Cristina Henriquez's The Book of Unknown Americans, Phil Klay's Redeployment, Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven, and many, many more. I'm beyond thrilled to be on it.

The New York Times also selected Everything I Never Told You as an Editors' Choice.Foreign rights for Everything I Never Told You have been sold to the Blackfriars imprint of Little, Brown UK; DTV in Germany; and Editions Sonantine in France.I've got a bunch of upcoming events, including the inaugural Morristown Festival of Books this weekend (9/26) in Morristown, NJ; three readings in the Cleveland area in early October; and the Boston Book Festival in late October.
