The Season's Readings Giveaway
I'm crazy for the holidays, so when a group of YA authors got together to host a HUGE giveaway, I was all in! One lucky reader will get a box of advanced review copies of some of the most highly anticipated 2015 novels. Some of the ARCs will be signed by the authors!

POET ANDERSON
Pretty excited to announce that I'll be writing a full-length novel for Angels and Airwaves frontman and Blink-182 musician Tom DeLonge. This project is freaking awesome, seriously, and I'm honored to work with such a talented group of artists.
POET ANDERSON: The Dream Walker will kick off with AVA's album The Dream Walker and include an animated short, a series of graphic novels, a full-length feature film, and a novel! Not to mention cool-ass merchandise. Expect me in Poet T-shirts for the next year.
The album drops December 9th, but for now, you can listen to the brand new single "The Wolfpack". Also, you have to see the trailer for the animated film. OMG, I'm so in love with it!

Fan-Made Trailer for THE PROGRAM
Basically, if you send me your awesome fan-made stuff, I'm probably going to share it. And this trailer is pretty extraordinary. It was on Twitter when I first saw a hashtag about a group making a Program trailer. They'd post stills and fun photos from the shoot. Then @Faith_Lauzon sent me the finished trailer, and I couldn't wait to show you!

Book Covers
The second book in The Program series, New York Times bestselling THE TREATMENT, will be getting a new look! Although the original cover (and the case cover) were really cool, they didn't fit with the style of the other books in the series.
My next book THE REMEDY is set in the same world, but stands alone. Also, there may be some small changes made to the top of THE PROGRAM, as well.
But here is the cover for THE TREATMENT along with its book friends. :)

The Program series covers

In total, there will be four books (we'll talk about the fourth book on another day). But the third book, THE REMEDY, is a companion set before The Program. Its sequel will also be set before The Program and complete the series. There may be some small changes made to the top of THE PROGRAM, as well.

THE REMEDY and oh, hey! A Cover Reveal!
The cover for my next book THE REMEDY was revealed last week over at MTV.com.
THE REMEDY is a companion to The Program, which basically means new characters in the same world. However, this book takes place before the suicide epidemic begins. Below is the cover and synopsis, plus a link to the fun article on MTV.com

Quinlan McKee is a closer, a person hired to play the short-term role of a deceased loved one in order to give their family closure. She’s not an exact copy, of course, but she wears the dead person’s clothes and changes her hair, studies them through pictures and videos, and soon, Quinn can act like them, smell like them, and be them for all intents and purposes. Quinn is deft at recreating herself, but sometimes she confuses her own past with those of the people she’s portrayed.
When she’s given her longest assignment yet, playing the role of Catalina Barnes, Quinn begins to bond with Isaac, the deceased girl’s boyfriend. But that’s only the beginning of the complications, especially when Quinn finds out the truth about Catalina’s death.
And the epidemic it could start.

Fiction
I saw a comment recently about The Program, stating that it's impossible for suicide to be contagious. That I was irresponsible for suggesting it could be, even if my book is fiction. Research it. Google suicide clusters and look at the articles. I do write fiction. I took a situation and spun it into a make-believe world.
Here are a few I quickly pulled, but ultimately, I wish people would remember that their experiences aren't the only experiences that people can have. Your depression is not my depression. Your brush with suicide does not negate mine. Just my thought for today.
