Servant of the Enemy Part III

Written By R.M. Garino

Rose saw she stood in the center of the street. Heading back or continuing forward would take as long. There were no alleys to turn down, only one long road, dark and silent.

Rose did not like it.

Oh no, not a lick.

People were dying lately. And not from what they usually die of in a poor coastal town.

Not sickness that, not like the little mouths at all.

Folks are dying, and they're found chopped up. They say it's the same fella who does it every time. Every chopped body c...

Servant of the Enemy Part II

Written By R.M. Garino

Rose Whitcon tsked at the sight, but continued on her way. It was no affair of hers what others did this night.

She huddled deeper inside her layers of clothing when the sea winds gusted. They rattled the shutters and signs, never seeming to stop. She hated the way she had to wear so many clothes, none of them fancy or nice, without them ever helping against the bitter chill. The cold and damp seeped through and froze you to the bone.

Easy weather to get sick in, she thoug...

Servant of the Enemy Part I

Written By R.M. Garino

San Randor was an ancient city. Old stood next to modern and both pretended the other did not exist. The stone of the buildings were once white when removed from the quarries. Now, they were a green so dark as to be almost black, the passive victims of the inevitable soot and dirt of human habitation, combined with the ravages of the sea.

Cutting across the northern district, a monstrous barricade stood twenty stories high. Its top was buttressed and interrupted by gabled ...

Ruminating on Angels

Angels of Perdition by R.M. Garino

How Now Folks,

I’m nearing the end of the second draft for book 2, Angels of Perdition. Just adding in some elements to the middle section that I missed on the original run through. We’re shooting to begin the first major editorial pass by the end of the month. In those moments where I’m staring at a blank page trying to corral my thoughts, I’ve notice something; The act of creation for the second book is different from the first. I don’t mean procedures and methods; I mean in terms of finding ...

3 Questions about Chaos

Happy 2019! After the holidays and the launch of Book 2, we finally have a chance to sit back and catch our breath. The response is positive thus far, but some questions have come up. So here are three question about Chaos answered.

Characters from The Chaos of Souls Series by R.M. Garino

Things are a brewing ...

#fantasy #chaosofsouls #books

How Now Folks,

So, I like to make stuff.

Besides writing books, I paint, I build stuff, I cook and I brew.

Yeah, that's right, I brew beer. The alliteration in that sentence conjures up a chorus of "hell yeah!" I also make my own cider, Limoncello, and mead. Currently, I'm preparing to make a batch of peach wine. The peaches on the tree out back just came into season, and the harvest was huge. We gave a bunch away, we're canning some, and then I'm turning the r...
