Hello, everyone! I know its been a while. I've been hard at work on my next novel, and just moved into an apartment last month. There's not much I can say about the new book right now, but I to give you something from me in the meantime and make up for how long I've been without an entry, I wrote a short story and posted it here on Goodreads!

HELLO AGAIN!
Hello again, everyone! I apologize for the long hiatus; its been a crazy few months with a lot of changes and my time was stretched thin. But now I'm back for you all with news, and I promise that I'll never miss a month of updating you all again. Hold me to it, now!
First up: The Rey of Know series-its getting a change. It was originally just one large book, then I chopped it in half to publish it cheaper. But I realized that if someone buys both books, they've spent more money in the end than if it was just one. Also, the strong messages of belief and change really don't come up much in the first half, so if that's the only half someone were to read, they wouldn't get the full message of faith, and I don't like that as a possibility. So I've made a decision-I'm gong to republish A Light to the Ruined as one book before the year is out, likely in November or January. (And yes, there will be another Goodreads giveaway and Amazon eBook giveaway.)
Next up: I'm beginning a new book! I haven't hammered down a name yet-though I should have one in the coming week to share-but I do have the concept and begin work on it today. My aim is to not self publish it but to keep with it until I can get it published by a publishing company. I believe in this story as one that needs to go global, and I believe the Lord will allow it to. So anyone who continues to follow me from my self-publishing days to my days as a major author as I cross the threshold, thank you in advance for your support, and I won't forget you. Pray with me, and if you have any prayer request of your own, message me on Goodreads or DM me on Instagram. Also, I have a Twitter now! Same name as my Instagram, Kenneth Britton. Not a lot of content if any right now on it, but look for that to change in the coming weeks, and feel free to follow me.
Well, that wraps things up for the writing. As for my personal life, I got a new car(which means new car note) and I'm preparing to move into my first apartment. Where Does the Time Go?
Hello again, everyone! I realize that it has been awhile since I last posted; many, MANY things came up recently that consumed my time and energy, and regrettable I lost track of things outside of those specific troublesome fields for awhile. But I'm back now, asking you to forgive me for my brief hiatus.
I return with good news. Of course you know A Light to the Ruined released. What you may not know is that the book signing was a success, taking less time than I imagined to give away all of the copies! And the next book signing is scheduled for Half Price Books, officially locked in; I'll reveal more info on that as the time approaches, and of course I will Livestream it for those(most of you)who can't make it in person.
Also, its been a few weeks, so I'll be releasing a video on the creation of the Map of the Ruined.
Also also, the title of the second book has been revealed, as well as a synopsis! It is called A Flame Across the Kingdoms, and the cover for it on Goodreads is a temporary one until I'm ready to reveal the official one. I hope you all are as excited for it as I am.

Release Preparation
Congratulations to all of the giveaway winners! I look forward to reading your reviews. I don't respond to reviews for privacy and professional reasons, but as stated, I will always answer the official author questions, because those are things directly asked of me.
In other news, the paperback edition is now available to order. Since it takes awhile to get shipped to your location, I figured I'd make it available early so that you would get it about the same time as the official release date for the e-book. I really am excited to share this story with all of you!
Also, I will be going live on Instagram for my book signing at Tyler Public Library Tuesday, June 5 for the official release date of A Light to the Ruined. It starts at 4:15 and is scheduled until 6:30, but the live video will end after the last book is given away, so please tune in and follow me on this journey. EXCITING NEWS!
Hello, everyone! I know it has been awhile; it's been a busy past few weeks, with a lot happening behind the scenes, and now I can tell you about it.
First off, we're less than one month away from A Light to the Ruined release date! You may have seen some ads for the book on Goodreads or Amazon and went, "hey, is that Kenneth's book?". Well yes, yes it was my book. I've paid for some advertising with some hard-earned money to help spread the word about the book. In fact, a lot of my busy schedule lately came from marketing.
In addition to the ads, I'm running an e-book giveaway on Goodreads. It starts today and ends on the 28 of this month. 100 copies will be given away to the winners, so hurry and enter, encourage your family and friends to enter, and make sure that if you win, you write an honest review of the book. I'll put a link to that at the end of the post.
I've also added a map to the book. I always had one drawn up, but I wasn't sure about whether to include it or not, despite my love of maps. I decided to put it, but it includes some locations that may spoil some surprises in the book, so the map is at the very back of the book. After the book comes out, I'll try and make a post showing the process of making the map and the cover, step by step.
Next up, I'm having my first ever book release celebration! June 5, I'll be at the Tyler Public Library from 4-6:30, signing copies of the book and answering questions. I understand most of you don't live in Tyler, but if you have any questions at all, I'm always available to answers questions here on Goodreads and always looking to accept followers and friend requests. I will try to have part of the celebration filmed, so that will be another post. The week after the celebration, I'm supposed to have another book signing at a different location, but that's not concrete yet, so I'll talk more about it when the time comes.
Now, some of you may be wondering why the print version of the book isn't for preorder. Amazon KDP doesn't currently allow that feature for print copies, so yeah, that's why. I thought I found a way around it, but alas, that source proved useless. However, the print version is set up; all I have to do it press publish, which I will do before the release date to allow for you to buy either or when the time comes. It will probably publish a little earlier than the e-book version so that I can get some official copies for a signing, but please wait to buy the book on the official release date(or at least the day before).
Next up, I did two interviews, one with wonderful folks at Awesomegang and a second with Book Reader Magazine. Please check them out! They really help give new authors exposure and experience, and I was so blessed to be able to work with them. I'll be posting the interviews as soon as I can later on this week.
Finally, I am planning on creating an Instagram, so that I can share images and videos easier, as well as other behind-the-scenes information, but don't worry, I'll still post here, probably linking the two. Wow, that was a lot of news to go through. If you're exhausted reading it, imagine how I felt doing all of it while working a full-time job and keeping up with a ministry as busy as mine is. But I count it all joy, for only what we do for the Lord will last. So I hope the book and these activities will be a blessing to you, and I wish you the best!
