then using this linking to remember information written in one set by encoding
given information into the second set. We
take a unique second set that is easy to remember. Now once we have remembered
this linking of two sets, we can apply it to remember any new information. Keep

Acronyms

An acronym is a short
word used for a group of words. The acronym
is created by combining the first one or
two letters of all the words into a short word. This short word is not only
easy to remember but also provides a hint
to recall all words represented by it. For example,
ASAP is an acronym of “As Soon As
Possible”. The acronym is simply
abbreviated form of a group of words.

Replacement

Replacement is used to remember difficult words or abstract
things. This method is also known as substitute method and has been described
in detail by Harry Lorayne and Jerry Lucas in The Memory Book (1974). In this method, we replace the difficult word with one
or more easy to remember words.

For example- To remember capital of Afghanistan, we will
