How We Are Thanking YOU, the Goodreads Community!

We have become huge Goodreads believers over the last few months. The Goodreads community is AMAZING! You have welcomed us and our upcoming book, The Intuitives, with open arms--over 2,100 to-read stacks and growing by the day--and we can't thank everyone enough!

But still... we can try!

Thank you number one:
Many of you have already noticed our weekly giveaways. They're going so well that we will continue to give away at least one autographed advance reading copy of The Intuitives every week until our July 25 release. We have opened these giveaways up to every country available on Goodreads, and of course they are completely free--just the first stage in our thank you launch celebration!

Thank you number two:
Never in our wildest dreams did we believe we would be so fortunate as to receive this much interest in our very first book. (Did I already say that the Goodreads community is AMAZING???) But you have made us believers, and because we've heard it through the Goodreads grapevine that a lot of you folks just adore hardcover books, we're making you one. Yes, in time for July 25. Yes, that's a bit of a tight deadline. Believe me, we're aware. But we've seen the first version of the 6x9 interior and the dust jacket design and we are blown away! We hope you will be too!

Thank you number three:
Well, that's still under wraps. But we're planning a third, very special something just for the Goodreads community! We'll let you know more about it as the time gets closer. So keep your eyes open for those author updates!

Editor's Review

Our publisher has provided a very special editor's review for The Intuitives. It's up on the website now (http://trashdogs.com), and I wanted to share it here on Goodreads as well. Sybil, we miss you every single day.

The Intuitives was edited by Sybil Carey, a former editor at Harbridge House. She spent her later years as a freelance editor and co-director of the Abbie Greenleaf Library in Franconia, NH. She "went to dance with the stars" on Sunday, December 20, 2015. The Intuitives was her final editing project.

Although she died before she had the opportunity to write a formal editor's review, Sybil spoke often of her love for these authors and for this book in particular. "The writing is so vivid!" she would say. "The characters are so real!" We wish she were still with us--for far more personal reasons than for the review she would have written.

"I love being part of this team. xoxoxoxo," she wrote on October 5, 2014. We've run our fingers over the x's and o's a thousand times since, cherishing each one, wishing they were more than just memories. She is credited for her editing on the very first page of The Intuitives, and she is in the final acknowledgments as well: "Sybil Carey--for being our angel, even when you still walked this earth." The book both begins and ends with her.

We hope readers will love it and believe in it as much as she did.

December News: Books!

We have a book coming out in July! That’s right, our first published book! We’re so excited! Our debut full-length novel–a contemporary YA fantasy–will be released on July 25, 2017! It’s called The Intuitives, and you can read more about it here on Goodreads. (ARC requests are now open at trashdogs.com for Goodreads and other book reviewers!)

We’re also getting close to the end of our first Wendy volume, FREE on Patreon! We’re expecting to have more time to write during 2017, so look for new chapters over the next few weeks! For our December drawing we have a hardcover edition of Jim Butcher’s Cold Days. Since we’re in the northern hemisphere, it seemed appropriate. For those of you on the other side of the world, send warm thoughts.

Finally, we’re pleased to report that we’ve started an honest-to-goodness mailing list! We’ll never give out anyone’s info, and we’ll only use it to notify our subscribers when we have something big brewing, like a new publication or a special sale. Email subscribers will get special offers from time to time, so if you want to sign up for that, here’s the form!

Thank you all for your generous patronage and support. We are incredibly grateful this holiday season to have such a dedicated group of readers in our corner.
