Ik interviewde Marja Pruis en Bregje Hofstede over De Nieuwe Feministische Leeslijst tijdens het Nijmeegs Boekenfeest in Stadsschouwburg Nijmegen. Was een feestje. Ben een beetje verliefd geworden op Marja maar ja dat is super onprofessioneel maar yolo.

It’s the summer of 2014. In the eastern part of Ukraine violence erupts between separatists and the Ukrainian army. Despite the increasingly heavy fighting, the old lady Nina decides to stay where she has always lived. Here she has her vegetable garden, her stuff and the people she has known all her life.
During the first hot summer of this conflict flight MH17 crashes. The bodies of passengers and parts of the aircraft crash into Ukrainian fields, through the roofs of houses, into schoolyards and gardens. There are no survivors. The reporting on this event was not always nuanced. Studio ZZZAP shows the complex reality and daily life in Eastern Ukraine through the virtual reality story of the old Nina.

Afgelopen twee weken was ik writer in residence in het Verenigd...
Afgelopen twee weken was ik writer in residence in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Studenten Nederlands van de University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield en University College London vertaalden twee teksten van mij naar het Engels. Een van de vertalingen is die van de voice-over voor de virtual reality installatie ROZSYPNE en is binnenkort dus al te horen. Op de foto hierboven geef ik een presentatie over de laatste vijf jaar werk en onderzoek, die hebben geleid tot het werk wargifs, de novelle De Benen van Petrovski, het documentair fotoproject OSELYATA, de VR installatie ROZSYPNE en (ik hoop over anderhalf jaar) mijn debuutroman. Het was een waar feest en een eer om uitgebreid met enthousiaste studenten en taalliefhebbers te kunnen werken.
