Reviews.

I don’t normally sit around and read reviews. I have always followed a quote by C.S. Lewis that goes:

“Write about what really interests you, whether it is real things or imaginary things, and nothing else.”

So… that’s what I do, mostly,

Today, however, I was updating some things on my social media for my next book coming out and I read a review about one of my books. The reviewer’s view about what happened in the book was not my intent. How they saw the story and the characters were nothing like what I was trying to convey. The whole thing got me wondering if I am truly a poor writer that I couldn't express the story correctly.

Their review gave me a lot to chew over. I will be pondering how to improve my storylines.

My son Jay is strong enough in his masculinity to eat a lollypops and watch Barbie’s Rapunzel with all the girls. That’s my boy! He could write romances with me.
