Who was Hannah Lightfoot?

Within The King’s Secret Daughter, Hannah Lightfoot is the supposed mother of Anna and mistress, possible wife of George III. She is mentioned but never given her own voice with the exception of when George III describes her personality to being “similar to Anna’s”.

The real Hannah is just as clouded within history. She is mention briefly through George III reign and after. It is known she was born in 1730 which made her eight years older than George who was born in 1738. This would have mad...

Royal Geneology

My interest in genealogy has ranged from everything to the Tudor/Stuart succession to the Mughal Empire of India to the Hapsburg and Egyptian lineages. I have a photographic memory. Apparently, it’s a rare thing but it’s helped a lot. Put a genealogy table of the Rammaside Dynasty in front of me and guaranteed I can copy 90% or more from memory.

My interest began in fifth grade when I discovered Henry Viii and instantly fell in love with history. I began researching him and his six wives. Th...

Is There Really a Right Age to Have Children?

This question has been asked for centuries, but recently it has come more to my attention because people have made it personal.

I had my daughter in my mid-twenties. According to many millennials, this is considered young. Yet what gets me is the half of women I graduated high school with that had a wave of babies once they graduated.

I put myself through college and married before I got pregnant and gave birth and yet I receive criticism.  This leads me to question many things.

1. The averag...

It’s Just One of Those Days…

So I let my mother read The King’s Secret Daughter…

Big mistake.

I probably should have expected it all but whatever. I’m just in a mood now but I will try not to let it stop me from continuing to write.

Current Feels:

Blonde Moment for a Brunette

Made a whoopsie!

So I accidentally uploaded the wrong version of my book to Amazon and before I could change it, someone bought it!

UGH!

Well, of course, that person left a review stating that there were errors.

Everything has since been fixed and the correct, edited, file has been uploaded. I’ve offered to give the customer the corrected copy for free but no response. I very much hope this mistake and review do not cost others to read the book because I have luckily gotten overwhelming prai...

Getting off track…

I should smack myself for starting a new story while I have like 6 incomplete ones but I couldn’t help it. Revolutionary War time travel here I come!

Definitely, need to get back on track but it sounds so juicy and so out of my usual!

Get this….

A woman travels back in time to the Battle of Groton Heights and falls in love with a soldier. Lame. Probably have been done before but I don’t care! I got like 10,000 words down on it in like 4 hours so I guess we will see where it goes. Even if i...

April 1783

Arthur Greene stood on the deck of the Century with his crewmates surrounded by Frenchman. He feared the worse as Captain La’Verge brought Jack Smith with him into the sunlight.

Earlier that day, Arthur had gotten a chance to speak with Jack:

“Where did she go?’ Jack asked as he inquired to Arthur about the whereabouts of his wife, Anna.

Arth...
