Rhianna never even knew her parents–never even knew where she came from. Raised by a thief and now tending bar, she’s finding it very hard to believe the two gorgeous brothers claiming she’s their missing child bride.

Keenas and Jorel are convinced Rhianna’s the princess promised to them years ago. She’d been lost as a child, orphaned when her parents were killed by terrorists who opposed peace between their two planets. Unfortunately, she doesn’t believe a word they say; so they take matters into their own hands and kidnap her, determined to show her by any means possible she’s meant to be their mate.
It’s going to take more than blazing sex to win their princess bride. There’s the man who raised her, the resistance still determined to see her dead, a pack of the galaxy’s most powerful royals, and the fact she doesn’t even want to rule. Marriage is never easy, but this one might kiss them all.

Note:This book is the continuation of the Entwined Fates series; the first two titles are available from another publisher. This title contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, dubious consent, menage (m/f/m), spanking, violence.

Review:
Rhia is a lucky woman. While she is, technically, an orphan who was raised by a stranger, her adopted brother has taken good care of her and keeps her safe and content. Until two strangers walk into his bar and carry her out kicking and screaming.

Keenas and Jorel have almost given up hope of finding their lost bride. It doesn’t help that they have not seen her since she was six months old. But a new lead has taken them to the other side of the galaxy to a dead planet full of outlaws. And standing like a queen right in the middle of a slave bar is the lost princess. The knowledge that they have finally found her overpowers every other thought, and they take what they have been denied for too many years. Rhianna. Their wife. Their queen
.
Destined for Two is an intriguing story about a lost princess and two sexy kings. There are lots of titillating sex scenes, the characters are drool-worthy, and the story itself is a page turner. The setting is very interesting with alien planets and barbarian races, but the people seem quite “human”. While the story is about a ménage marriage, it seems quite normal for the setting. Overall, it is a highly entertaining read that is hard to put down.

Excerpt...

Keenas stared out at the stars, his mind lost in thought about Rhianna. Had they done the right thing? She was theirs, and by Argonian law they had the right to take her, by force if necessary. But he had to admit, force didn’t sit well with him.

She was beautiful, stunning actually, and she’d affected him more in the five minutes he’d spent with her than any of his previous courtesans. She had the most amazing eyes -- sultry, expressive -- everything she felt could be seen within their icy depths. He had no doubt she would make an excellent queen. She would need training -- lots of it on traditions, regulations, and of course, her duties as his and Jorel’s wife.

Just thinking about sharing her with his brother made his balls tighten within the confines of his leather pants. At the insistence of their father, they’d learned to share women -- to put them at ease as they both took them, sinking their cocks into their willing bodies. They’d learned to work together as one and watch for the other’s subtle signals so they could bring the woman they were with to heights of great pleasure.

Keenas had hoped her nanny would have trained her, educated her in the pleasuring of two men, but since her nanny died when she was four, it was doubtful Rhia had learned any of that.

The beep of his communicator startled him from his thoughts and he absently raised his hand to hit the device attached to his tunic. “Yes,” he sighed.

“She’s making a run for it,” Jorel said, then groaned.

Keenas frowned at the groan. “What the hell is the matter with you? And besides, we’re in space. Where do you think she’s going to go?”

“The docking bay?” Jorel replied with sarcasm and Keenas’s heart began to pound furiously in his chest.

“She can’t fly a deep space shuttle,” Keenas argued, his anger building.

“You want to keep telling yourself that or are you going to go stop her?” Jorel snapped. “You’re closer than me. Watch your back, Keenas. She’s a clever one. I think she broke one of my fucking ribs.”

“With what?” Keenas snapped as he headed out the door and into the brightly lit corridor.

“Your sword.”

Amusement filled Jorel’s voice and Keenas had to grit his teeth to keep from saying something smart. How the hell did she get that off the wall? His pace increased as he realized he knew nothing about her. For all he knew, she did know how to navigate through deep space. It would be easy enough to use the tractor beam to pull her back in, but she could hurt herself trying to get away.

As he rounded the corner to the docking bay that held his and Jorel’s personal ships as well as four other shuttles, he spotted the open wires hanging from the control panel to the right of the door. With a sigh, he lifted one of the wires. He was impressed, although at the same time loath to admit it.

She’d unlocked the door by bypassing the central control mechanism. Basically, she’d hot-wired the damn thing. Armande had apparently trained her well. Pinching the two wires together, he waited for the door to slide open, and then stepped through. He quickly scanned the bay, looking for any sign of her. A movement behind one of the shuttles caught his attention and he slid behind the one closest to him.

As quietly as possible, he made his way around the bay, hiding behind boxes and various pieces of equipment stored along the far wall. He could see her ahead of him, peeking around the corner of the shuttle. His gaze wandered down her trim waist and firm ass. It stuck out slightly as she bent over to peer around the corner. Her red hair fell down her back in soft curls and he allowed himself to imagine how soft those curls would be as they wrapped around his wrists.

He shook his head and told himself it wasn’t the time. Slowly, he crept toward her. Just as he was about to reach her, she spun around and swung a pipe toward his head. He ducked and felt the breeze from the pipe as it whizzed past, missing his head by mere inches. Damn, he should have been more observant, looking at her hands instead of her ass.

Anger raced through him and he lunged forward, grabbing her wrists with a punishing grip. She squealed, fighting his hold. Her free hand swung, landing against his cheek with a stinging slap, just as the toe of her shoe smashed into his shin. He grunted and grabbed her free hand. With a hard tug, he pulled her flush against him, pinning her hands behind her back.

Anger blazed in her eyes as she struggled for freedom, curses spewing from her lush lips that would make his father roll over in his grave.

“Enough, Rhianna,” he growled and slid his thigh between hers to make kicking him more difficult.

She gasped, immediately stilling as his leg pressed upward, putting pressure on her pussy, forcing her to her toes. Her heat seeped through their clothes, searing his flesh, and he glanced down at her, just as startled. Her eyes were wide, her kissable lips slightly parted, and her cheeks red from her angry exertion. In a word, she was stunning, the most stunning woman he’d ever seen, and for several seconds he could only stare at her.

“Let me go,” she snarled, breaking his sudden trance.

He released his hold on her wrists, allowing her to step back. Instantly, he realized his mistake and raised his hand to catch her wrist right before her palm made contact with his face again.

“Damn it, woman,” he snapped, and then bent at the waist, throwing her over his shoulder.

She wiggled and kicked; her fists pounded at his back as he made his way down the corridor and back to his suite.

“Who taught you about wiring, Rhianna?” he demanded.

Rhianna only growled, “Fuck you.”

His palm slapped against her ass, making her gasp. “I said watch your language, woman.”

In a move that shocked him, Rhianna slapped his ass with her palm -- hard. “I’ll talk any way I damn well please, you jerk.”

“Did you just slap my ass?” he asked, still surprised over her retaliation.

“Take me home!” she screamed.

“I am taking you home!”

“My home!”

With a sigh, Keenas stepped through the door of his suite and threw her on the bed. She landed with a grunt, but before she could get up, he threw himself on top of her, pressing her into the mattress beneath him. Her startled gaze met his, then narrowed in fury as he pinned her wrists above her head.

It was a stupid move. He realized it the second he felt her firm breasts flattened against his chest. His cock hardened and he pressed it into the soft flesh of her stomach. Instantly, she paled, her body becoming rigid and tense as she met his gaze with unflinching bravery. She impressed him. As well as infuriated him.

“It appears you will make quite a queen, Rhianna, despite your lack of training.”

She spit in his face, startling him, and he reached up to wipe her spittle from his cheek with his free hand. His nostrils flared as he glared down at her. Ice blue eyes flashed fire and sent blood pounding through his veins. Damn, he wanted her.

“I’ve about reached the end of my patience, Rhianna,” he growled.

She bucked beneath him and his hips shifted, landing right between her thighs. The heat of her pussy pressed into his cock and he groaned, closing his eyes for a moment to catch his breath. She’d quieted as well, her startled gaze watching him with trepidation.

“I guess you’ll learn to be still,” Keenas growled, then pressed his cock into her mound.

Her lips parted as she drew in a sharp breath of air, but her body remained motionless.

“If you plan on raping me…get it over with,” she snarled.

Keenas chuckled. The flare of heat in her eyes gave her away. She was just as aroused as he, whether she would admit it or not. “I can assure you, my queen. When Jorel and I take you, it will not be rape. You’re just as aroused as I am by our predicament.”

“I am not!” she shouted. “You’re an arrogant ass.”

“And you’re a delectable little wildcat,” he whispered, his lips closer to hers.

She smelled of jasmine and spice. A heady combination for a woman, and he inhaled her scent deep into his lungs. Grinding his hips, he put more pressure against her mound and the heat in her gaze intensified. Her chest rose and fell with her shallow breaths, pressing her breasts harder against his chest.

“Get off me, Keenas,” she gasped softly.

He pulled away and stared at her in surprise. “You know I’m Keenas? How?”

“Does it matter?” she asked, her voice soft and raspy with desire.

“How, Rhianna?” he asked again, not used to people refusing his requests.

With a sigh, she glanced away, turning her face toward the window. “Jorel has a softer face. Yours is harder and your eyes are more intense.”

“Interesting,” he murmured. “Usually people cannot tell us apart. Even those who have known us for years.”

She shrugged. “It’s just something a woman would notice.” Her face turned back toward his. “Now please get off me.”

“Starting without me?” Jorel asked with amusement from the doorway and Keenas glanced at him for a second before turning back to Rhianna. She kept her gaze on his, her eyes wary and watchful, the dull glow of desire simmering just below the surface.

“Had she broken your ribs?” Keenas asked, his gaze still on Rhianna’s beautiful face. Her eyes widened slightly as she turned to stare at Jorel.

“Yes. Two of them. You have quite a swing, little one,” Jorel replied with a slight grin. “Doc fixed them up, though.” He slapped his hand against his ribs. “See, just like new. Gotta love technology. Were you worried?”

“I can assure you, I wasn’t,” she snarled, making Keenas grin and Jorel chuckle.

Jorel moved to stand next to them. Gently he drew his fingers down her cheek, making her stiffen beneath Keenas. He really should get up. Otherwise, it could turn into a very uncomfortable situation. She wasn’t ready for this. Hell, she didn’t even believe them.

“Having you as a queen will be quite interesting,” Jorel whispered, tracing the line of her jaw with his finger.

She scowled, crinkling her nose adorably. “Even if I was your queen, after this do you really think I would stick around?”

“You’re not giving us a chance, Rhianna. We told you we could prove it medically, but we have to get you home first.”

“How do I know you didn’t rig it?” she cried in exasperation.

“Rhianna.” Keenas sighed. “You’re making this much more difficult than it has to be.”

Jorel’s finger moved lower to circle her taut nipple through the material of her top. A blush moved up her cheeks, and fire blazed from her eyes as she glared up at his brother.

“We should just show her how good we are in bed. Maybe if she’s mindless from multiple orgasms, she’ll be easier to handle,” Jorel said thoughtfully, and Rhianna growled deep in her chest.

“Try it,” she snarled.

Jorel grinned, and then tugged at the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head.

Up In Flames...review...

Mundi is a word which seems so mild. It brings to mind the word "mundane". To learn it is a group of emotionless elite assassins with supernatural powers is startling to say the least. In this latest installment of the Entwined Fates series, Ms Michaels brings in another "princess". This time, she's a kick-ass stone cold killer.

Cara Nubel is the heir to her planet, which is currently undergoing civil strife. She's an oddity in that she is also a Mundi. Her special power is telekinesis.

This story is fast-paced and very enjoyable. Ms Michaels brings the Marcone family back through Hayden Marcone. Does this family only produce hot men and sexy women in their clan? Who will be featured next in a story? It matters not because I'll be eagerly waiting in line for a copy. This is because the world Ms Michaels creates is easy to understand and her characters are engaging. Both Hayden and Cara are likeable. They are so different from each other, yet they match well together. One is a killer and the other is a healer, yet they understand each other and they bond. Their sexual chemistry is erotic and sweet. This is one of the lighter stories with no sexual slavery or kinky BDSM. Still, it's a treat.

Hot guy Monday...

I thought it would be fun to post pics of some of the men who have inspired my heroes... This one inspired Alexander Dorn from Entwined Fates: Up In Flames and his own story, Dominating Miya.   This lovely inspired NCIS narcotics officer and Dom, Master Brayden from Topping the Domme, book one of the Crime and Punishment series. I just love an older guy in glasses..:)
Meet FBI agent and Dom, Master Nathan Delacroix, from Topping the Domme and his own story, Master Delacroix (Book two of the Crime and Punishment series) Delacroix has an amazing psychic ability to read people that goes well beyond the usual Dom intuition.
And this one is probably one of my favorite characters. Lord Sidious Marcone (The younger version) His story is Entwined Fates: Captive, but he's also in every single story thereafter. Nobody can dominate his love like this guy..:)
And finally, but certainly not least, is Lord Jonah Marcone, Sidious's nephew. He doesn't have a story yet, but it's in the works. That doesn't mean you can't get to know him. Jonah is in Entwined Fates: Her Pirate Master and Up In Flames. This man most definitely has a dominant streak that rivals his uncle's..:)

Excerpt Darkness Falls...

Noah had spent over an hour driving around, looking for Alana’s truck. When he’d finally spotted it at the house, he’d wanted to put her over his knee. Her friend had been attacked here, and the culprit was still loose. She should know better than to come here alone.
He stepped out of his truck and headed up the front steps of the house, all the while unable to keep his mind off their kiss earlier. He would go to hell for all this one day. He just knew it.
Today wasn’t the first time he and his brother had played each other. They’d done it as kids all the time. As they became adults, they grew out of it, but on occasion, they would trade places, just to see if they still could.
He had no more intentions of misleading Alana. He’d tell her the truth. Because of his brother’s attraction to her, he couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Noah stood in the grand entrance of the abandoned house and snorted toward the glass dome above him in the ceiling.
“I’m not sure I would believe that load of crock, either,” he said to himself.
His stare moved to the curving staircase, and he sighed. Now where the hell would she be? And more importantly, what the hell was she doing here alone?
“Alana?” he called.
* * *
He stood in the shadows, watching the light play off her auburn curls. She was pretty, although not as pretty as the other one. He could still imagine all the things he could do to her body. All the sexual things.
He closed his eyes briefly, inhaling the sweet smell of roses that floated through the air as she moved. He imagined that smell filling his senses as he buried his cock in her ass, riding her hard before sinking the blade of his knife into her spine, severing the nerves.
Just a head on a stick was what she’d be by the time he was done with her. Unable to move, to get away, to fight. The last thing she’d feel would be his cock buried in her throat.
He opened his eyes, a soft smile pulling at his lips. He could feel his cock getting hard already in anticipation. It had been too long since his last girl. Too long since he’d fed the beast that existed within him. Is that why he found himself attracted to a redhead and not a brunette? It had definitely been too long.
He preferred the other girl. He could still hear her screams, could still smell the scent of her blood as his claws had ripped at her flesh. He’d had a small taste of her, and he wanted more. His fingers clenched at his sides as he tried to control the rage, the hunger that seemed to burn him from the inside out.
Control… He needed to maintain control.
* * *
Alana fiddled with the camera wiring and tried not to listen to the moans and creaks of the house. It was like the damn thing was alive, and she’d begun to regret her decision to come here alone. Tray would have her head if he knew. And truthfully, he should.
The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as the creepy sensation of being watched traveled up her spine. She froze, holding her breath and listening. Her heart jumped in her chest as a barely audible noise sounded from behind her. Was someone in the room with her? The temperature felt as though it had dropped a few degrees, and she shivered. She should turn and look; she really should, but she was almost too afraid. She had a terrible feeling in the pit of her stomach that if she did, she wouldn’t like what she saw.
Swallowing, she reached for the small digital camcorder lying on the table. Not much of a weapon, but it would do in a pinch if used correctly.
“Alana?”
The sound of her name brought both relief and a tinge of unease. Was it Noah or Aiden?
“Great,” she snarled. “I’m up here,” she called out, albeit reluctantly as she turned to study the empty room behind her with a frown.
She really didn’t want to talk to either of them right now, but at the same time she didn’t want to be alone, either. Not after that creepy feeling.
“Up where?” he called, and Alana sighed.
“Second door on the right.”
She turned just as Noah stepped into the doorway. He looked identical to Aiden. The only way she knew it was him was by his clothes. Aiden had been dressed in slacks and a tie. Noah was in jeans and a form-fitting T-shirt that outlined his wide shoulders to perfection. The blue material made his eyes appear darker, more blue than gray.
“What the hell are you doing here alone?” he demanded, his voice rough and commanding.
She bristled at his tone, despite how his deep voice made her stomach flutter.
“Don’t start with me. I’m a grown woman; I can go where I want to. Why are you here? Back for more?” she snapped, unable to curb her anger, especially with her body humming to life at the sight of him staring at her like a hunter looking at his prey.
“Don’t be snippy,” he said.
She raised an eyebrow, her ire rising. “Excuse me? I think I have a right to be snippy.”
He spread his hands as he came farther into the room. “I pretended to be my brother so you would kiss me. I admit it, but I’m not the first twin to do it, Alana.”
“Did you think it was fun?” she asked, hand on her hip.
She placed the camera down on the small table next to the closet while she waited for his answer. She’d been amazed when she arrived at just how much furniture was still in the house.
“I thought your kiss was fun,” he said, his lips quirking just a little. “I do regret making you angry, though. I’m sorry for that.”
“Fair enough, I suppose.”
“Am I forgiven?”
She scowled. “I don’t know that I would go quite that far.”
He smiled, and her stomach jumped in a patty-cake rhythm that caught her by surprise.
“Did your brother send you out here?” she asked, trying to cover up her sudden urge to kiss him again.
All she’d been able to think about while at this house was the two of them seducing her as a pair. Was she nuts? Had that even been their intent, or had Noah just been playing a game?
“Yes and no,” he replied, taking a couple of steps into the room.
The closer he got, the more her flesh tingled. Was it because he looked so much like Aiden? He kissed like Aiden…sort of. His kiss had been more demanding where Aiden’s was more sensual, slower.
She studied him from the corner of her eye. Now that she really looked at him, she could see he carried himself differently from Aiden. His brother was a people person. He was approachable. Noah was less approachable, more stern and arrogant. He had a darker look in his eyes.
One side of her lips quirked in a half smile. Was it that simple? Aiden was light, the good twin, the gentle twin, and Noah was dark, the dangerous, naughty, and rough twin? She could see that.
His blue-gray gaze met hers, and her breath caught in her chest. Oh, yeah. She could definitely see that. Looking at Noah made her think of hot, sweaty nights between black satin sheets. She licked her lips and looked back down at the camera, trying to take her mind off sex with the twins.
“Alana?”
His deep voice carried across the room and smoothed over her skin like a caress. Too late. So much for not thinking about sex.
“Yes?” she croaked, then cleared her throat to try again. “So if Aiden sending you to apologize is one reason why you’re here, what’s the other?”
He stepped close behind her, so close she could feel the heat off his body against her back.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about that kiss,” he replied, his voice so soft and sensual he might as well have just stroked his hand down her back.
“I’m sleeping with your brother,” she whispered, although it sounded more like she wanted to convince herself more so than him, even to her own ears.
He snorted softly. “Trust me, I know.”
“Are you really going to stick with that story? That you came when he did? I get the whole twins feel each other’s pain, but pleasure?”
He shrugged. “It is what it is.”
“Do you do this often?” she snipped over her shoulder.
“Do what?” he asked, all innocent.
“Seduce your brother’s girlfriends?”
“Is that what I’m doing?” Alana could hear the amusement in his voice and bristled.
“I don’t know. Is it?”
“If I were, you would know it.”
Alana huffed. Of all the arrogant, conceited—
Rolling her eyes, she did what she knew she shouldn’t, but she couldn’t seem to stop herself. She turned to face him. Craning her neck, she looked into pretty eyes that left her feeling weak-kneed and speechless.
“Honestly? You want the truth?” he asked.

Darkness Falls review...

Great review for Darkness Falls from Joyfully Reviewed!

Alana is a successful novelist and paranormal investigator.  Alana and her team investigate haunted places for a television show.  When they are offered the opportunity to investigate one of the most well known haunted houses they jump at the chance.  However, what they find there might be more than Alana bargained for.

Aiden and Noah are twins with a very special bond. They are able to feel what each other is experiencing.  Aiden is partially responsible for bringing Alana’s team to Dandridge.  He is quite smitten with Alana and thinks she would be the perfect mate for him and Noah.

Alana’s investigation turns dangerous as one of her friends is endangered.  Is it a ghost or a human evil that hurt Lisa?  Alana is determined to find what lies within this haunted house, and Aiden and Noah are set on protecting her.  Will she accept their protection as well as their loving or are these two brother’s too much for her to handle?

Darkness Falls is a hauntingly sexy romance!  Aiden, Alana and Noah are combustible together!  There are many things that I like about Darkness Falls .  There is a lot of hot romance between Aiden, Alana and Noah; a spooky mystery that kept me engaged throughout, and secondary characters that rock.  The connection between Aiden and Noah is unique and erotic.  When you add Alana to the mix they sizzle and the connection strengthens.  Darkness Falls is a dark yet gorgeous romantic novel.  Trista Ann Michaels has a beautiful way of writing ménage stories and Darkness Falls does not disappoint.

A great review and excerpt for Cursed by Desire...

Buy NowFor over 400 years, Drake Montgomery has been trapped by a woman determined to keep him for herself. All that may change with the arrival of a young writer . . . or is death the only future for any of them?

Jordan has inherited a castle from her grandfather she didn’t even know he owned. Unfortunately, there’s a stipulation. She must live in the home for six months or forfeit her entire inheritance. Upon arriving, she begins to have dreams of a man so perfect, he couldn’t possibly exist. Unfortunately, he does, just not in the way she expected. Not dead, but not alive either, Drake is stuck. He believes Jordan is the one who can set him free. But as time passes and he falls further in love with her, being set free is the last thing he wants. Another trapped spirit, one determined to keep Drake all to herself, knows Jordan is the key, and she’ll do whatever she can to keep them apart.

Upon Jordan’s arrival we meet the staff and Drake Montgomery, only Jordan doesn’t see Drake. It turns out our hero is cursed, and I don’t mean he was cursed at his death to become a ghost of the castle. Four hundred years or so ago he was having an affair with a girl named Celeste. He tired of her, broke up with her and she in turn cast a spell. He has to fall in love and so would his love interest. With each other! This isn’t one of those ‘he’s in love with her and she’s in love with someone else’ stories. Geesh. So Drake decides to start by making love to Jordan at night with her thinking he was a dream. The problem is Celeste. She is apparently in their, Drake, Rene and Kimberly’s, realm of being as well, and she still wants Drake. Now, Jordan is the kind of person who has to see it to believe it. But after waking up one morning with a huge hickey on her neck, she and Nina go stomping into the kitchen demanding answers from Rene and Kimberly. They were not expecting the tale they received.

Ms. Michaels has written a very hot, very suspenseful and incredibly cool story. I enjoyed Jordan trying to deal with her there on this plane of existence and then not there lover. Nina was such a cool friend, and was there for Jordan every step of the way. I read this straight through and enjoyed every page of it. I’ve read other works by Ms. Michael’s and this one makes me want to read some more!

Excerpt

Chapter 1“I’ve inherited a what?”Jordan Taylor stared at the attorney as though he’d lost his mind. She knew her grandfather, and if he’d owned a castle smack-dab in the middle of England, he would have told her. Wouldn’t he?“You’ve inherited Blackthorn Manor, a fifty-thousand-square-foot manor house resembling a small castle in the town of Dursley, England.”“Wow, Jordan! Your very own castle. What are you going to do with it?”Jordan glanced at her best friend Nina. Her red curls bounced as she leaned forward in her chair, the excitement evident in her green eyes. Nina had always had a fascination with castles, and Jordan was sure her friend was already mentally booking them on a plane to England.“Unfortunately, or fortunately, however you choose to look at it, Miss Taylor must live in the castle for six months before she can inherit anything.”“Excuse me?” Jordan croaked. She had no desire to move to England for six months. The attorney, Mr. Scarsdale, adjusted his glasses on his nose and passed the will to her across the desk. “As you can see, your grandfather left you everything, but only if you remain in the castle for six months.”She skimmed the pages, looking for any hint as to why he would do this. “I don’t understand. What’s so important about this house?”“I’m afraid I couldn’t answer that, Miss Jordan.”“I can’t go to England for six months. What about work?”Nina rolled her eyes. “You’re a romance writer, Jordan. As long as you have the Internet, you can live anywhere.”Jordan jerked her head up. “This place does have the Internet, right?”“It has phones and electricity, and I’m assuming it has Internet access as well.”“Jordan, if it doesn’t, we’ll stick a satellite on the roof and install a system. You’ll be fine.”She glared at her friend in aggravation. “You just want to go to England and stay in a castle.”“Of course.” Nina shrugged her shoulder with an impish grin. “You really didn’t think I was going to let you go all alone, did you?”Jordan brushed her blonde hair back from her face in indecision. She just didn’t understand what her grandfather had been thinking—and when did he even buy the thing? Her grandfather had always loved England and went there several times before he became too sick to travel, but she had no idea he’d bought a house there. No. Not a house. A castle. A castle that was now hers.“Your grandfather left orders that your travel expenses—and of course Nina’s—will be paid out of the estate. A limo will pick you up at the airport and take you to the house. There are several cars that come with the property, but the caretaker preferred not to drive to London, hence the limo. Your grandfather also left strict instructions that the caretakers be allowed to stay. They have a life estate of sorts.”“How many are there?” Jordan asked.“Two. The butler, Rene Bordeaux, and the maid slash cook, Kimberly Weston. They’ve been taking care of the place for quite some time, from what I understand.”“Oh.” Nina wiggled her eyebrows. “A French butler.”“Nina, really. He’s probably older than dirt.”Nina giggled, and Jordan shook her head at her best friend. Sometimes, it was hard to believe the woman was a killer literary agent.“I have an idea,” Nina started, suddenly becoming all business. “Jordan and I will go to lunch and talk this over. We’ll meet you back here around two?”“Two is fine.”The attorney stood and held open the door for them to leave. More than likely he was relieved to see them go. But Nina was right. She needed to talk this through.* * * *“So what’s so hard about this, Jordan?” Nina asked, as the waiter refilled her tea glass. “You’re the only one left to inherit. Do you really want all your grandfather’s money and possessions going to strangers because you couldn’t bring yourself to get on a plane?”“Nina, you know I hate to fly. And besides, what if Josh wants to come back?”“Jordan, please, we can only hope that prick doesn’t want to come back. The man cheated on you. Not once, sweetie, but twice. Do you really want to go down that road again? You’re better off without him.”Jordan sighed and glanced around the crowded Mexican restaurant. She hadn’t been here since her and Nina’s last “business discussion.” Nina had been great and had done wonders for her writing career. She was not only the best agent she’d ever had but also the best friend. She might seem flighty at times, but the woman was a genius when it came to negotiating contracts.Nina had also been her rock when she’d caught Josh cheating on her for the second time. It was a good thing she already had her next two books finished, because she certainly hadn’t been in the mood to write. Every time she tried, she killed her hero—and not quick deaths either, but slow, painful ones.“I think this trip to England will be the best thing for you. It’ll get you out of here. You’ll have new scenery to admire, and maybe a few nights in this castle will be just the thing to inspire you to write the paranormal historical I’ve been after you to get started on. They’re all the rage, you know.”“I know. But I don’t have a historical voice, Nina. My heroines keep saying things that are way too modern. I just can’t seem to get the dialogue down. For me, saying things like…” Jordan raised her hand and fanned at her face. “I would be delighted to accompany you, my lord.’ Or, ‘The garden is so divine this evening!’ It’s just unnatural. Please, I would rather eat liver,” she added, rolling her eyes.Nina laughed. “Okay, so you don’t write historical—you write futuristic. Then you can say whatever comes to mind. It’s your own world which you created yourself.”Jordan grinned at her friend. “What would I do without you, Nina?”Nina shrugged. “Why, wither up and die, of course.”This time it was Jordan’s turn to laugh.“Now, back to this England thing. I think you should go.”“Maybe you’re right.” Jordan sat back and allowed the waiter to place her order on the table. The enchiladas looked incredible. She inhaled the scent of refried beans and spiced meat covered in melted cheese. Picking up her fork, she prepared to dig in. “You’re coming with me, right?”“Of course. I’ll be there as soon as I clear my schedule. Shouldn’t be more than a week, two at the most.”“Great.” Jordan held her full fork up, saluting her friend. “Here’s to England.”“To England and a new life.”

Excerpt from Shutter...

One thing was certain: Beth was good. She knew exactly what she wanted before she even started shooting, and usually got it quickly. She made the models feel comfortable and at ease with their nudity, which showed in the pictures.
But Nathan's gaze wasn't on the nude model in the water. It was on Bethany. Those long legs, that tight ass he'd caught in bikinis that made his cock twitch, and long blonde hair he thought often of running his fingers through.
“We got it,” he heard her say, and everyone broke out in applause. “Great job, everybody.”
The model smiled broadly as she stepped out of the water, and someone came forward to wrap a terry robe around her. She and Beth spoke softly for a moment; then the model went back inside to change while Beth scrolled through the pictures on the computer.
Nathan moved to stand behind her. A soft wind blew, carrying her scent to his nose, and he inhaled deeply. Leaning down, Nathan moved his lips close to her ear but said nothing, just watched the screen over her shoulder. It didn't take her long to notice him. She jumped, turning to stare at him in surprise.
Her hand fluttered to her chest as her eyes narrowed at him in annoyance. “Don't sneak up on me like that!” she snapped.
His lips twitched in amusement. “You didn't see my reflection in the computer?”
“Not at first. I was studying the picture.”
He nodded toward the screen. “Nice shot.”
She scooted her chair a little farther away, making room for him. “I like the way the light catches the highlights in her hair,” she replied, pointing toward the model's blonde curls.
Despite the light, Beth's hair was prettier. Or maybe he was just prejudiced. She'd lightened her hair, going more platinum. It suited her.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
There was a slight quiver to her voice. Nathan turned to study her, wondering at her nervousness.
“I couldn't get an answer on your cell. Jacob wanted me to remind you about the dinner planned for tonight.”
She nodded, her throat twitching as she swallowed. “The rodeo place, right?”
“Yeah. They're leaving for dinner at eight thirty. The usual publicity pictures at the mansion around eight.”
Beth nodded. Her tongue flicked out to lick at her lips, and Nathan's heart skipped a beat. He wanted to do that, run his tongue along her mouth, taste her lips, and inhale her essence and the evidence of her arousal.
“Are you going to edit those today?” he asked, nodding toward the pics.
“I think so. I also want to edit Sarah's.” She glanced around quickly before continuing. “Jacob asked me to get a few test shots of her. I think she'll be our next centerfold.”
Nathan raised an eyebrow, and she pointed at him, giving him the most adorably firm stare. “And don't you say a word.”
“I wouldn't dream of it,” he replied with a chuckle.
She pursed her lips before turning back to the computer. “Are you going tonight?”
“Do you want me to?”
She spun around and stared at him, her eyes wide, her mouth opening, then quickly closing. “I was just asking, Nathan. It doesn't really matter.”
“No?” he asked, studying her closely.
She started to say something, but Jeremy interrupted. Nathan frowned at the intrusion but stood by patiently. He was determined to get an answer. After a few moments of listening to them discuss what needed to be done, Nathan blew out a harsh breath, leaned down to grab Beth's arm, and tugged her from the chair.
“Jeremy, if you don't know what to do by now, you're a lousy assistant. I need to speak to Beth in private. Handle it.”
“Nathan,” Bethany argued but followed behind him without too many objections as he pulled her to the dark alcove behind the waterfall.
The temperature inside the darkened space dropped drastically, and he noticed Beth shiver slightly at the dampness. Was she nervous? Or was it something else?
“What on earth did you want to talk to me about?” she snapped in aggravation.
“This,” he said as he gripped her chin with his thumb and forefinger, holding her still as he slanted his mouth softly across hers. He couldn't wait another second to kiss her, taste her. His need was quickly driving him insane, and the more time he spent with her, the harder it became to ignore it.
She stiffened instantly and tried to pull away, but he wrapped his arm around the small of her back, holding her against him. Not hard, but close enough so he could feel every inch of her body pressed against his. The last thing he wanted to do was frighten her, but the instant she melted in his arms, he knew he hadn't.
His lips became more insistent, brushing over hers, encouraging her to open for him. She did, and her soft sigh feathered across his lips. He could smell her sweet, rosy scent, taste her minty breath as he slid his tongue inside, slowly exploring.
She responded, stroking her tongue along his. His cock hardened instantly, and he pressed it against the soft flesh of her stomach. She moaned, raising her arms to wrap around his neck. Her response surprised as well as excited him. She was kissing him back. He could feel the hard pebbles that were her nipples pressing against his chest even through the material of their clothes.
“Nathan, what are you doing?” she whispered against his mouth, and he smiled.
“Doing what I wanted to do last night. What I've wanted to do for months.”
“I…” She swallowed, then took a deep breath, trying to pull away. “They need me…out there.”
“I need you in here,” he murmured, holding her tight and letting her feel the length of his rock-hard cock. He slid his hand to her cheek and gently sucked at her bottom lip. She shivered against him. “Let them handle it, Beth.”

Magazine photographer Bethany thought the nightmare of her past was over, that she could finally move on without fear. She thought wrong. Thank goodness she won’t have to face it alone. She has Nathan and Derrick to help her. But Bethany wants a little more than just their help.

Derrick and Nathan are used to sharing women, but never a woman they both have feelings for. While they struggle to get past the jealousy and tension of their joint seduction, they have a bigger, more important battle—against the monster determined to claim her for himself.

With two Alpha males like Derrick and Nathan around a girl could get mighty comfortable. Each man is wonderful in his own way and both have their eye on Bethany. Can she choose just one? I know I would have a hard time choosing myself.

Trista Ann Michaels writes a great flowing story brining you into her world and making you a part of it. I truly loved the depth of all her characters especially Bethany. She fights her way back from a dark past and learns to take back her life. Finding herself and what she enjoys. As Bethany begins to grow into herself a threat from her past shows up. With Derrick and Nathan at her side she must confront this monster so she can get on with her life. This book is a hot read with each man trying his best to seduce Bethany and win her heart. I found it hard to cheer on just one. The love and trust that grows between the three is beautiful to read and in the end we can see how it was all worth the trouble. I enjoyed the relationship between Nathan and Derrick a lot. Being best friends and doing everything together even sharing women but that all changes when they each realize they have feelings for Bethany. They both go on a roller coaster ride of feelings and fight for their friendship as well. Derrick and Nathan must learn as they go and must help Bethany and put her before all else. A great read full of action and suspense this story should not be missed.
