Children’s Book for Charity
I wanted to tell you all about a special project that I've been working on. It looks like all the kinks have finally been taken care of and it's ready to go!
This children's book was written by Doug's great-grandmother, Dorothy Stuart, and illustrated by his aunt, Judy King. It was originally hand drawn on a sketch book, while Dorothy typed the poem inside and lovingly glued it to each page. It took some time to scan and paint it on the computer to get it all ready for publication without losing the original dedication, but with Mallorie's help and the talents of Amanda Mariee, along with the full approval of the family, this fantastic story can now be enjoyed by children of all ages!
The best part is that ALL proceeds will benefit the Pat and Judy King Memorial Music Scholarship in the Woodridge Local School District in Peninsula, Ohio where the illustrator lived with her family.
It would make a great Christmas gift!
