After a lifetime of sin, Rembrandt “Remy” Stuart is finally on the road to redemption, but a former bad guy must always watch out for temptation. His temptation? It comes in the unexpected but ever-so-seductive package that is Jacqueline Peters. One look, and he’s hooked.
From the moment he sees her, Remy is inspired.
He’s never been one to rush to the rescue—not really his thing—but when a shoeless Jacqueline enters the crowded bar, Remy can practically feel her fear. The beautiful woman is running from something—more like someone—so Remy decides to be her knight in severely tarnished armor. For a price, of course. Because nothing is ever free. Certainly not him.
His price? Jacqueline will be his muse.
He’ll give her a job and a safe place to stay, but, in return, she has to pose for him. She’ll be his model as Remy finally tries to create work of his own and not, ahem, just incredible forgeries that can be used by all sorts of dangerous criminals—the people that Remy knows too well. And if Remy and Jacqueline happen to give in to the burning hot attraction between them, attraction that grows even hotter with every moment that passes, then who is he to argue with fate?
She needed a hero. She got the bad guy.
Jacqueline is sweet and good, careful and controlled, and she may just be everything he ever wanted. And she mistakenly thinks he’s some kind of hero. Adorable but…so not the case. When danger from her past follows her to Remy’s, he’ll have to show her who he really is. Because there is no way that he’s going to let anyone hurt his muse. Being good can only get a man so far.
But being bad…that just might save the day.

“We need a plan of attack. We need—”
She knew exactly what they needed. With her shoulders hunching even more, Jacqueline lifted her hands toward him. She turned them over, so that her wrists were up. “You need to arrest me.”
One of his eyebrows slowly rose. “Why would I do that?”
“Because…” She choked down the lump in her throat. “I’m a thief.” There. Said. Done.
His hands rose and curled around hers. No—around her wrists. That same crazy spark surged through her at his touch, and she wondered how she could still feel that burn when he was about to call his real FBI buddies and lock her away.
His fingers lightly caressed her skin.
“R-Remy?”
“What a coincidence,” he murmured and flashed her a killer smile. “So am I.”

Roman has some unfinished business from his past—in the form of deadly enemies—who have tracked him. And now those enemies have gotten the wrong idea about Harper. (Probably because Roman couldn’t keep his hands off her on a case.) They think she is Roman’s lover. They think they can use her in order to get to him. They are about to make the worst mistake of their lives.
When Roman’s enemies kidnap Harper, he drops the good guy role.
Roman races to rescue her—and they are thrown together in close confines. Intimately close. In order to fight the enemies closing in, Harper and Roman have to trust each other. They have to work together. Stay together. Except the longer they are together, the more Roman realizes just how much he wants the fiery Harper. And soon…Roman can’t imagine his life without her.

Alice paused. Glanced over her shoulder at him. “Trust me when I say that you can’t handle me.”
“You’d be surprised at what I can handle.”
She motioned toward the crowd behind him. “Go try that smile out there. I’m sure your luck will be outstanding. Lots of women go for that dark-and-dangerous vibe.”
“But not you.” Another taste of his drink. His eyes remained on her.
She turned to fully face him. “I’m not interested in wannabe danger.”
Oh, this was intriguing. No, she was. “You only go for the real deal?”
Once more, she leaned over the bar. Her scent teased him. But she didn’t speak. Instead, she searched his gaze. He wondered just what it was that Alice was looking for as she stared at him so hard with those topaz eyes of hers.
“You want real danger?” he rasped as the tension seemed to stretch between them. “How do you know I can’t give you that?”
