TRAPPED IS LIVE!!!

I'm so excited to announce that Trapped, the followup to my YA romance Here, is finally live on Amazon! It's been uploaded to iBooks, BN.com, and Kobo as well, so expect to see it there soon, too.
I have some fun giveaways on my Facebook page today. It's www.facebook.com/ellajamesauthorpage. You should drop by and join in the release day fun!
Next up on my release schedule is the Stained Series omnibus, coming next month. I'm not sure yet, but I'm seriously considering including a serial from Meredith's POV. If that's something you think I should do, let me know. :) I never did quite feel like I'd finished saying bye to Meredith, and she's in such an interesting place...I just thought it might be fun.
After that is Something Blue, the Love Inc. novella (or maybe novel - LOL). I hope to share that with you in April or May.
After that, I'm starting something totally new. It's called Obsession, and I'm super excited about it. I'll share more about it later. For now, it's 3 a.m. my time and I really need to get some sleep.
But first...
If you're one of those wonderfully loyal people who waited two years for Trapped, I want to thank you for waiting on me. If I could do things over again, I would put this book out earlier. I had it almost complete in November 2012, when my son developed an urgent medical issue that ended up costing my family about three months' time, as we shuttled our one and a half year old all over the country trying to figure out what was going on. By the time things settled back down, I wanted to work on something fresh and new to clear my mind, and that's how I started the Love Inc. novels. I can count at least a dozen of you who messaged me numerous times urging me to return to Nick and Milo's story. You have no idea how much it means to me that you cared so much about what happened to them. I really hope you enjoy the second part of their story! I'm aiming to get the third book out within SIX MONTHS. You've waited enough, right? :)
Thanks again for supporting my books, and I hope you have a happy hump day!

Update potpourri
I've done it again! Or rather, not done it. It's been forever since my last update. If you want to keep track of what's up in the land of brothels, cute aliens, and winged creatures, follow me on Facebook. (If you do, remember that under the "liked" tab, you need to click "get notifications," or you might not see my updates).
Since apparently the only way you're going to hear any news on this blog is retroactively, here's a recap of my last month and a half.
Since my last post, I have...
1. Released Unmaking Marchant. YOU GUYS, this was a doozy. If you could have been a fly on the wall at my house the week before that book came out, you would be a fly who knows there is a reason for the traditional three month maternity leave.
2. Learned that two kids is A LOT OF KIDS. Especially when they are both mostly non-verbal and not entirely potty trained.
3. Continued working with my amazing literary agent, Rebecca Friedman on some exciting, secret stuff.
4. Realized that the only thing better than having a publicist handle my PR efforts is having a PA handle everything else. If you're an author who's on the fence about hiring a PA (or a publicist) - it's worth it. (And BTW, the PR agency I use hires out publicists as well. It's very convenient).
5. Ordered tons of cool swag. Like this design, for a t-shirt.
6. Formed a street team. (Let me know if you want to join! Basically, you win prizes by promoting my books.) So far, there are about forty of Ella's Elite, and they're having lots of fun.
7. Gotten the sequel to Here, Trapped, listed for pre-order on Amazon. (If you haven't read Here, you should grab it now while it's on sale for .99. It's a YA mystery/romance). Trapped will be available March 19.
8. Learned that the trick to working while mothering a baby is just.never.sleep. Seriously, that's the only way. But it is possible.
9. Started working toward an April or May release date for Something Blue, the last title in the Love Inc. series.
10. Started planning my next series. :)
A NOTE ABOUT UNMAKING MARCHANT:
It's currently for sale at Amazon, Kobo, and BN.com, and it will soon be available at the iBookstore. People seem to like it, so that's good. *I* don't feel like the end is a cliffhanger, but some others do - so beware of that. (The romance and the characters' personal storylines are, I think, pretty well tied up, but I left a suspense thread hanging, which will be tied up in the Something Blue novella, which will feature Lizzy and Hunter's wedding).
Hope you've had a good month!
xoxo,
Ella

I'm bad at this
I don't know why I'm so terrible about updating my blog - but I am. I hang out on Facebook most of the day, and sometimes on Twitter, but I neglect the blog. I'm sorry about that.
If you haven't already noticed, the new Marchant release date is February 12. This new baby kind of threw a wrench in my schedule, but I'm on track now and excited about sharing the book with you. Consider adding it to your Goodreads TBR pile. That way, you'll get a reminder on release day.
In the meantime, I'm celebrating the release by doing lots of giveaways on my Facebook pages. (Actually, let's be honest; I'm ALWAYS doing giveaways on my Facebook pages!) If you don't follow me on Facebook, please do. I have a 'personal' page (really an author page) that you can friend request, but don't do that because I'm about to reach my capacity of 5,000 friends. When I do, I'll start phasing things over to my official fan page, which you can find at www.facebook.com/ellajamesauthorpage.
I am constantly giving away e-copies of books I loved reading, and just this week I gave away two ARCs. Winners got to choose between Marchant and Trapped.
I'm planning to release Trapped in March, and I can't even tell you how excited I am! I've held onto this baby for a long time while other projects started and ended, and I know you've waited for it forever. I hope you'll enjoy the second part of Nick and Milo's story as much as I do. The book should be available for pre-order in a week or two. I will, of course, post the link for you.
What's the benefit of pre-ordering an ebook? (It's not as if I'll be running out of stock, after all). The main reason to do this is that you won't have to keep track of the release date. The ebook will magically appear on your Kindle as soon as I publish it. :) Pretty awesome, right? Right.
I'm going to try to liven up this blog, you guys. Starting now!
Is that lively enough for you? ;)

Unmaking Marchant Release Date
So, I've postponed the release of Unmaking Marchant. I had a really tough time deciding on a release date originally, because I knew I would be having a baby November 19...but I really wanted to get the book out before Christmas, so I decided to push myself. Unfortunately, there's no pushing a new baby, so regardless of how badly I want to get the book out, I'm finding that I simply don't have the time to work on it in the way I'd need to if I were releasing it in December. The new release date is January 8.

Marchant Teaser
The closer we get to the plane, the more he paces. Marchant. Marchant Radcliffe. I keep blinking at him, because I can’t believe my sexy bathroom guy is him: Marchant Radcliffe—the pimp. When we’re in stone-throwing range, he lifts his head, and his gaze laps up and down me like he’s claiming me. I feel heat rush into my face, followed by the sting of tears in my eyes, because my ridiculous fairy tale moment has been smashed into a million pieces. He didn’t understand me—back there when I was having my little freak-out. He didn’t care about me. He’s just good at this stuff. He’s good at…well, at womanizing. He’s a professional. Lizzy grabs my hand, because my feet don’t seem to want to take me to the plane, and we drop back as Hunter strides forward to greet Marchant. “You okay?” she asks, looking at me with wide, clueless eyes. I nod—a little too frantically. She leans her head toward mine. “Something’s going on with March. Hunter’s not sure what it is, but I think he invited Marchant along so they could talk about it. When he called downstairs earlier to that charity hearts tournament they were both supposed to be at, the person in charge told him Marchant wasn’t there—and he should have been.” She shrugs. “I don’t know what his deal is lately.” I do, and I almost say so. He was kicking some guy’s ass. He was kicking the ass of a guy who had his own team of body guards.Instead I swallow and try to keep my wandering eyes off Marchant Radcliffe’s deliciously bulky shoulders. We’re less than twenty feet from the plane now, and as we get closer to the fold-out stairs, I can feel my body reacting. I can feel my skin heating up. My heart-rate speeding up. It’s all for Marchant Radcliffe, and it makes me feel like a fool.

UNMAKING MARCHANT ~ Coming in December

Marchant Radcliffe, owner of the exclusive Love Inc. brothel outside Vegas, is no stranger to darkness. He lost his sister in childhood and his parents in college. Since his best friend helped him finance the Love Inc. ranch almost ten years ago, Marchant has drowned himself in business—and he’s thrived, despite the heavy secret that has plagued him since his parents’ deaths.
Then, after ten years of good fortune, Marchant’s skeletons start to peek out of the closet, tossing him down a trail of ruin that begins with arson and could end with murder. Because he’s kept his struggles private, he has no one to pull him back from the brink.
Except for Suri Dalton.
After a breakup with her longtime fiancé, Suri, the daughter of one of Silicon Valley’s tech tycoons, has nowhere to go except her BFF’s new penthouse in Las Vegas. The last thing Suri is looking for is a man, but after drowning her woes in wine on the flight over, she stumbles into a torrid make out session with a beautiful stranger—who just so happens to be Marchant Radcliffe, a playboy and a literal pimp.
Despite an immediate attraction, Suri writes Marchant off as exactly the sort of guy she should avoid. Until Love Inc. goes up in flames, Marchant winds up at the bottom of a swimming pool, and Suri is the only one around to pull him out.
What happens when what you see isn’t what you get? What do you do when destiny is too alluring to resist and too dangerous to survive?

Selling Scarlett is FREE!

Did you guys know my new adult romantic suspense, Selling Scarlett, is FREE right now? :) Well, it is! If you haven't grabbed your copy, you should definitely do so. I uploaded a brand new, sparkly, shiny, re-edited version last week - one that's essentially the same as the original, but neater and tidier. Now's a great time to get into the Love Inc. universe. The second of my Love Inc. stories, Taming Cross, is out now, and the third book, Unmaking Marchant, will be out in November.
Here are some buy links for you, just to make it easy:
Amazon U.S.
Amazon UK
Smashwords
Barnes & Noble
Kobo
The iBookstore probably has it free, too, but I'm not sure if Smashwords has pushed it through to Apple yet, and since I don't have a Mac, I can't really check. If you can, let me know. ;)
xoxox~
Have a wonderful week, guys!

Love Inc. Makeover
If you haven't already seen it on Facebook or Twitter, or on one of the many awesome blogs that helped with my reveal... Selling Scarlett and Taming Cross have gotten a makeover!
My beautiful new covers were made by Regina Wamba of Mae I Design & Photography - the same designer who made the original, super-sexy covers.
I've had some people ask why I decided to change things up. The old covers were smokin' hot, right? Well, here's why: At least once a day, I would get e-mails and Facebook messages from people who said, "I loved this book. I'm so surprised, because I thought it wouldn't have much of a plot." In other words, it seems that a lot of readers thought Scarlett and Cross were just steam. If you look at the reviews for Scarlett, you'll see that in many of them, reviewers say: "I'm so surprised I liked this book. I thought I wouldn't."
It's one thing for people to not like one of my books because it wasn't their thing, but another situation completely for them to never even give the book a chance because it looks like something they wouldn't enjoy. Unfortunately, for every one person who thought the covers were smokin' hot and awesome, there seemed to be two who felt that (while the covers were beautiful and eyecatching') the books would be too racy for them.
So that's the reason I decided to try something new.
Despite its steam factor, Selling Scarlett is a romance novel - not erotica. Taming Cross isn't as steamy as Selling Scarlett, so it's definitely not erotica. ;) I want people to see this when they look at my covers.
If you are one of my readers who has a paperback copy of the old Scarlett, and now you want a matching copy of the Cross book, I'll be glad to give you a discount on the new Scarlett paperback (when it's ready), so that when you order Cross, the books will match. :) I've had a few people ask about this, and if you'd like a new Scarlett to match the new Cross, I have no problem giving it to you at cost + shipping.
I, for one, really love the new covers and am so excited about them! I'm getting great feedback so far, so it looks like some of you love them as well.
Here's what they'll look like as paperbacks:
If you don't have your copy of Taming Cross yet, you might want to grab it before Sunday ends. The book is 99 cents this weekend only! ;)
xoxoxo,
Ella
