To Mondays and new beginnings..
Nothing can brighten a Monday faster than by doing something good for someone else.
Today’s act of kindness? Sending 200 of these audio players off into the world.
They’re bound for ManorCare and Sunrise Assisted Living facilities on the east coast, to be used in their Memory Care wings. Between general physical limitations – and COVID restrictions on activities and socializing, we’re glad the Live A Thousand Lives Classic Fiction audio players can bring entertainment and joy to their residents.
We’re ecstaticweepyproud to be launching the Live a Thousand Lives nonprofit. And this is just the beginning. With luck – and more of the support that got us to today, we’ll be shipping audio care packages to facilities and homes across the country.

Let us all live a thousand lives and help others..
We can all live a thousand lives by reading but not everyone can physically hold a book to read a story. That’s why the Live A Thousand Lives Audio Players are a solution for so many.

A little update on me and my books…
I couldn’t do it without all of the help I have from so many people (big shout out to Sophie and my hubby here) but I want everyone who’s watching and thinking “omg how does she do that? She’s a super woman!” to know I didn’t do a darn thing for almost 3 months earlier this year. And yesterday I spent all day just thinking about scenes I want to add to a book. Literally I take time to do nothing but think because during those hours that is what I need and sometimes all I’m capable of.
It’s worth it to take the time to process everything and focus on self care. Aka, I can’t do this alone and some days, I can’t “do” anything. I don’t give myself a hard time over it. Give yourself grace. Self care is productive and we all need that right now

I wrote this book three years ago and originally published it as Imperfect. I have been going through and rewriting and elevating my back catalog this year and I was scared to move on to this one. I wrote it at a horrible place in my life. I was exhausted but couldn’t sleep and if I did, my heart would feel like it was racing when I woke up. It was the start of a very difficult period for me that lasted nearly a year. The one thing I had though - the one real escape from all of the anxiety - was that I still wanted to write and the stories still came to me. It’s what kept me going. Now though ... going back to this book that I can pin point as being written in this dark time, like I said, I was scared and when I opened it, I was so relieved and so surprised by how much I loved it. There was a lot to elevate as I’ve grown so much over the years. But it was such an amazing escape and nothing I felt personally about that time resonated in the book. It’s a romance, sexy and with lots of twists and it’s everything I love about books.
I think that’s why I was still able to write - these books are my escape. And for that reason, I will never let them get dusty and move on from them. They were there for me when I needed them and as I grow as an author, I’ll make sure my books do too!
