It's Done

Big weekend at the SSAA Shot Show in Sydney and the testimonials are starting to come. I'm a bit over whelmed at the response since launch. Sold a heap in the first week and busy sending out books from the ecommerce purchases. Just hit 10 shops that have ordered.

Botony Container Terminal

It was one of those classic tales... I arrived at the terminal to pick up 2,500 copies of my book at the dock. Well, you guessed it, nothing is easy. There I was with a 4WD and a trailer surrounded by semi's and the like with the truck drivers all chuckling... The 1004kg pallet of 'my books' couldn't be split for 'safety' reasons and my poor trailer almost split in two when the forklift driver placed the pallet load onto it. I had to drive it 50 metres out of the compound so I was technically outside their domain. Here I could break MY PALLET of books down and place most of them into the back of my 4WD... the tyres on the trailer were almost having a heart attack with the weight.... grrrr......
Now, the NZ consignment has been selected for a random customs audit... laughing... it's crazy stuff DIY and I wouldn't have it anyother way... out there 'do'in it'

Booked To Cross the Ditch

To those who don't understand our downunder lingo... across the ditch is to New Zealand. Half of the production run has landed in Sydney and I am waiting for custom clearance. The other half are about to arrive in Auckland at the back end of next week. Lots of Kiwis have registered to get a signed copy so in order to make sure they do I have booked a flight across the ditch to do a heap of signing... plus an opportunity to do a bit of snapper fishing whilst checking out the distribution network.
Yes, it will be another do it yourself aspect to the gone hunting out there 'do'in it' book because we are also taking care of distribution.
The clock is ticking down to the launch... 20 June here we come...

Audio Book

Went to downtown Sydney yesterday and meet with the guys from Silvertrak and went through all the smoke and mirrors to convert my files into an audio CD. Great bunch and I left with 7 hours of audio recordings on one disc to do a final proof. MP3 Audio Book.
Artwork looks stunning and just have to do a few mods and its all systems go.....
Will only be available from my ecommerce website www.gonehunting.me which will be alive within the next two weeks.
Daniel Burke Publisher from Wild Deer & Hunting Magzine has ordered 500 to give to resubscribers. Thats a great order to kick-off the program.

Printed Version on The Boat

An email just landed in my inbox. The gone hunting book has an ETA in Sydney where half of them are destined to hit the dock, whilst the other half are on their way 'across the ditch' to New Zealand.
So proud of the achievement as the production of this book has been a complete DIY job. Those wanting a printed version will be able to buy direct from my ecommerce site which is under construction and will be up and live around the 20th June 2016.
Ebook versions are up on Amazon and iBooks in pre-launch mode.
Audio book technical guys will be looking at my files on Wednesday.
The cost of the printed version will be $25 Aussie and that includes postage and handling to anywhere in the world....
