His fingers ran down the length of my arm, sending sharp tremors of ice throughout my body. He was so cold. No one is ever this cold.
"They're this cold if they're dead," he whispers, answering my thoughts in a low and challenging voice. Our bodies are closer now, so close that the warmth of my skin and the chill that seeps in from his turns the world hazy. And for some strange reason, I like it.
His eyes drop to my mouth. "Are you afraid?"
I should be. I should be calling him crazy and running away, but I can't. I refuse to. "Terrified."
He smiles. "Good. Then this will be fun."
