New series alert

Hey guys!

I’ve been working on a passion project this year, Something that I’ve been wanting to write for a while and I took January to work on it. My muse is pleased, and it has rejuvenated me.

So, what is it, you ask?

We’re talking gargoyle shifters with primal tendencies, fated mate bonds, forbidden love, Academy setting (but NOT YA. All characters are 21+ or older) and we have some awesome found family aspects too. This series is MF romance NOT RH. RH didn’t feel right for this story <3

The Stone Initiation is up for preorder right now!

Check out the blurb and the cover and make sure to take advantage of the preorder price, add it to your GOODREADS TBR shelf and help me spread the world

There’s no place for a half-blood at the gargoyle table.

I’ve been a shameful secret all my life. Shunned by my pureblood gargoyle father to keep up appearances. But it never mattered because I had Romi.

My half-brother. My best friend. My true family.

Until death took him from me.

They say it was an accident. I say that’s bull.

They’re hiding something, and the only one way to get to the truth is to step into Romi’s world.

Stonehaven Academy is where Romi worked with his elite guard to hone the next generation of warriors, and it’s where I’ll find my answers.

A world where I’ll be pitted against pureblood gargoyles and not expected to survive. A world of secrets, revelations, and forbidden fruit in the form of Serath—the lethally beautiful sigma leader of the elite team.

If I want answers, I’ll need to get close to the sigma. I’ll need to play with fire and be prepared to get burned.

But there’s a reason Serath is off limits.

A reason, that could mean the difference between life and death.

Because the Stone Council is hiding a horrific truth.

One, that if revealed, could tear our world apart.

New Release

When Monsters lie, book 1 in my new trilogy is live! It’s an RH Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy Romance that’ll keep you flipping pages.

Join Rue and her team as she attempts to leads her people across dangerous deadlands to the Golden City- home of the Celestials.

You’ll find:

✅ Monsters galore

✅ Enemies to lovers

✅ Villainous heroes

✅ Heart pounding action and sizzle

✅ A found family bond that can’t be broken.

Grab  it now: books2read.com/u/mZZQpB

The world went to shit the day I was born.

They say fire rained from the sky for seven days signalling the arrival of the monsters.

They say humanity fought hard to beat them.

They say the celestials saved us.

They say a lot of things.

Me? I deal in the present. In scouting for useful things and keeping my team alive outside the protective walls of our base. I might not have a fancy monster-killing blade like the Sweepers do, but I’ve avoided getting my face eaten off so far, so I call that a win.

But when my base is taken by monsters, my scout skills are the only thing standing between imminent demise and survival.

Sanctuary lies across the deadlands—monster infested territory, unmapped and uncharted even by the celestials. It’s the only route, and I have no choice but to navigate my people through it.

I’m a scout, a survivor. I got this.

Until I haven’t.

The last thing I expect is to be relying on four monsters for protection. But fate obviously has a sense of humor. Shemyaza and his scouts are intelligent, deathly, and lethal, and turns out they’re the only ones who can lead us to safety.

Only problem is, their aid comes with a hefty price.

Me.

Have you read it yet?

August and Telarion are back in Insidious Monsters. There is more action, more tension, budding romance, steam, angst, Argh, so many things. If you haven’t grabbed it then what are you waiting for?

I’m revising the third book and prepping it to go to my alpha reader which begins the process of getting it ready for its June 2nd release. This third book kicked my ass and the characters put me through the wringer.

But there is no rest for me.

Next week I’m diving into writing he second book in my Demons of Morningstar series, which means I need to adjust my mindset and slip back into the Accords world.

It’s going to be a busy year and I hope you guys are ready for some epic reads.

Speaking of Epic reads, I’ve thrown myself back into the ACOTAR world and just finished ACOWAR by Sarah J Maas. Is it bad that I just want to curl up and read? But not until I finish revisions on Righteous Monsters.

Wish me luck!

XOXO

Sleep? What’s that?

If my pillow could speak it would tell you some stories. Like, all the stories I come up with at 2am in the morning when I should be asleep, because you see, for some reason my brain has decided that 2am is optimal time to have an activity spike and flood my mind with plots. And don’t even get me started on the characters who decide they want to have a say. My mind is a messy place filled with stories waiting, not so patiently, to be told.

I’m not mad about it though. This is what I want to do and I’m grateful that I get to do it.

So what’s in store this year?

2022 is going to be a year of experimentation and wrap ups with a brand new RH thrown into the mix.

As you may know my first MF in…well forever, just dropped this month and the reviews have been amazing. I’m so happy that so many readers are enjoying Aberrant Monsters, more so because if I don’t finish the series this year then Telarion, the monstrous hero, may eat me. And not in a nice way 😉

I have so many stories begging to be told in that world and I’ll be bringing you a series a year in the New World verse.

The Accords world continues this year with Demon Throne (Demons of Morningstar series) and Nyx’s story. I’ve brought the release date forward to the 14 April so you’ll be getting that sooner than expected 😀

I also have a standalone MC PNR coming out as part of a shared world (MC Synidcates) this May. It’s sexy and steamy with some alpha heroes to fall in love with and a kick ass heroine to root for. So make sure to check out Death Warden when you get a chance.

Now to the wrap ups.

Many of you have emailed, messaged, posted to ask Wynters story (Heart of Darkness) will be complete. Now I’ll be honest with you reader, the reason it was delayed was because it sold very few copies, so little that I couldn’t cover the costs of continued production of the series. It was a little disheartening as I loved that world. But I went on to write other things, hoping I would have the finances to then take time out to complete this series. Thanks to your awesome support in reading my books in KU and buying them, I’m able to complete Heart of Darkness this year and hopefully get it out by December. Thank you so much for that. I promise you an amazing conclusion.

I’ll also be re-covering the Iron Fae series with a view to writing and releasing the final book early 2023. So if you want the old covers then make sure to pick up copies soon.

That’s about it for now. I’m working on Righteous Monsters (book 3 in the Eldritch Blues series) so I need to get back into the writing cave and get my words for the day.

Drop me a comment and let me know which of my books you’re looking forward to the most this year xoxo

Meet August and Telarion!

Aberrant Monsters is out!!!

Check out this snippet! © Debbie Cassidy 2022

Jamie released me and backed up, fear widening his eyes and quickening his breath.

Oh yeah, he sensed it now. Even though he couldn’t possibly fathom what it was.

No more warnings. No more chances to run. I smiled thinly.

“No escape”. The voice was whiskey on the rocks, smooth with a gravelly edge that made my insides thrum. “My turn.”

The monster living inside me tore free.

Inky-black viscous matter shot out of my body and slammed into Jamie, throwing him into the opposite wall and holding him there while it coalesced into a humanoid form.

Telarion, my curse, my personal monster, manifested in his monolithic glory. His long, dark coat flapped in a phantom breeze as he held Jamie to the wall with a single gloved hand. His face was obscured by shadow and partially masked, but I caught the sharp edge of his jaw and the curve of his lips when he turned his head to offer me his profile.

Was he asking permission?

Did Telarion ever ask for anything? No. He took what he wanted when he wanted it.

Still, I responded. “Take him.”

He chuckled low and wicked, then ate Jamie’s face.

I squeezed my eyes shut and covered my ears to block out the wet crunching sounds of his feeding.

The first few times this happened, I’d vomited. But we had a deal now. Feeding around me was off limits. Something he seemed to have forgotten, or maybe he wanted to make me sick. Urgh, why did he have to eat the guy right here?

Long seconds passed before I felt Telarion’s shadow fall over me and sensed the heat of his presence.

I opened my eyes to look up into his piercing green ones. They were undoubtedly beautiful eyes, slightly slanted and fringed in thick, dark lashes set in a face that was deceptively human right now. High cheekbones cut down to a wide, generous mouth set above a pointed chin framed by a sharp jawline. His nose was straight with flared nostrils that gave him a look of regal disdain. Even the mask that covered his forehead, sliding diagonally across the bridge of his nose to cover his right cheek and part of his jaw, looked like something an aristocrat would wear to a masquerade ball.

But Telarion was far from human, as evidenced by the overly long and thick tongue that swept out from between his perfect lips to lap up errant drops of blood from his chin. The action reminded me of his true face. The face beneath this beautiful mask.

The face of the monster.

He gripped my neck with an infinite gentleness that belied his horrific nature and drew me close.

My pulse quickened with panic and something else, something that I would never acknowledge. “Don’t…”

He gave a raspy laugh and licked my cheek. I closed my eyes, submitting to his attentions as his wet, warm tongue washed away the evidence of my attack in leisurely sweeps.

He released me when done and stood towering over me. “How is it you get yourself into these scrapes?”

His chuckle followed me down the hallway and out onto the stairwell, where I ran smack bang into a hard chest.

The distinctive aroma of cinnamon told me exactly who I was literally up against even before I tipped my head back to look at his face.

Vesper glared at me as if I’d said something offensive. His nostrils flared and his cobalt eyes darkened to indigo blue.

“Have fun?” he sneered.

“Yes, thanks.” I shrugged out of his grip and started up the steps to my floor.

“When’s it my turn?”

I paused and looked down at him. “Excuse me?”

“You’ve given him access to the power. There’s an imbalance until you fuck me and Dante too.”

He deliberately made it sound dirty, trying to goad me. I wasn’t so easily cowed, and I was under no illusion as to what our mating arrangement was.

“I’ll fuck you when I’m good and ready.”

He moved fast, bridging the distance between us, pushing me up against the stairwell wall and caging me with his body. His heat, his scent, his gaze raking over my face was a sensory overload that had my heart rate quickening and my body tensing in fight-or-flight response.

“Back up, Vesper.”

“Why?” He dipped his head so his mouth was mere inches from mine. “You don’t want me?” He nudged my nose with his in an intimate move that made my breath catch. “Anya…” He inhaled me, nuzzling the spot just below my earlobe. “You have his scent all over you, but I can still smell you. Your heat. Your desire.” He pressed his lips to the pulse in my throat and my stomach did a slow flip, drawing a sharp exhalation from my lungs.

“You want me, Anya. I can smell it.”

“I don’t like you, Vesper.”

He drew back to lock gazes with me. “Maybe we can change that.”

What now?

I’m working on a super exciting project that launches on February 18th Next year.

I’ll be dropping the blurb and the yummy cover here in a couple of weeks, but for now, all I can tell you is that it will be a decidedly wicked MF urban fantasy romance set in a new world bursting with character and many tales.

Nyx’s story will be coming first week of May 2022, and I’ll be posting the preorder next week so you guys can make sure you’ve grabbed it in preparation. If I get it written sooner, which I probably will, then I’ll be bringing the release date forward.

Keep your eyes peeled for the cover reveal which will be happening very soon!

I’m off to rest my weary head and dream of my characters, but I’ll be back soon with more updates.

Until then

Happy reading

Debbie XOXO

Exciting things to come…

A Shifter’s curse is only a few days away, and I’m busy doing a second pass on A Shifter’s Choice, the final book in the series. I’ve loved writing this series. The character and the world have become a second home. I’m so excited to write more in this world and you’ll be getting Nyx’s story next year.

In other news, I’m also diving back into writing non RH books. I love RH and will continue to write it but there are several MF stories in my head that need to be written. We kick off February next year with a new world and an epic new story.

I’ll be posting a cover reveal and blurb here shortly so keep your eyes peeled.

In the meantime it’s back to work for me.

Signing off

Debbie xoxo

New Release

A Ghost of A Chance

They say the dead don’t speak. That’s a lie. They speak to Kat Justice, but most of the time, she chooses not to hear them.

I’m a Nightwatch agent, a nightblood charged with enforcing the supernatural laws. Humans can’t know the shit that goes bump in the night is real. It’s sweaty, tough work, with crappy pay, but I love it.

Things would be perfect if not for my secret.

Pureblood Nightbloods can’t see or hear the dead. The fact that I can exposes my mixed breeding. I’m not meant to exist, and if the council find out about my secret it’s the executioners block for me.

Keeping a lid on my ghost whisperer ability is a must.

So, when my gramps orders me to head to the arse end of nowhere, a nowhere that just happens to be the most haunted place on the bloody map, I’m a little confused.

This transfer doesn’t jive with trying to keep the ghost chat to a minimum.

But with my golem partner and gargoyle companion in tow, I’m sure I can figure out why I’ve been sent to this weird coastal town. I mean, they even have a ghost bar.

You’d think the local souls would be eager to chew my ear off, right? Wrong.

For the first time in forever, the dead aren’t talking.

Now I need to know why…

A kick ass Urban Fantasy Adventure filled with fey, demons, vampires, gargoyles and golems.

GRAB IT NOW!
