Lars Simonsen, born in Denmark, has travelled extensively together with his Dutch partner, Suzi, and their children, Tiuri and Liva. On losing their jobs and house in the wake of the recent economic crisis, Lars and Suzi spent 18 months sailing with their children on two sit-on-top kayaks, 7,300 km from Copenhagen to Istanbul. Lars makes a living from holding motivational talks and illustrated lectures about their family adventures, and inspiring other families to enjoy the outdoor life.
