To Dream and Die as a Taniwha Girl funded in under 4 hours!

Yesterday, the first ever Yarnsworld Kickstarter campaign was launched.

Yesterday, the first ever Yarnsworld Kickstarter campaign was funded!

I spent the entire day in a state of shock – thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far, and even more thanks for the many, many kind words I’ve received from readers who have been just as thrilled as I am to see this happen.

If you’ve not had a chance to check out the campaign page yet, head over to Kickstarter to read one of the folktale...

Yarnsworld audiobooks are on their way!

Back in 2016, when I released my first novel, I sent out a few emails to people or companies I wanted to work with, to let them know I existed, and to give myself something to do other than refresh my Amazon page all day.

One of those companies was Podium Publishing – they are an audiobook company best known for taking a gamble on Andy Weir’s then-unknown The Martian, and they have a history of working alongside independent authors.

In my email to them, I let them know I was aware I was too...

Looking back at 2019…

As we say goodbye to the year that was, I’m going to try something I’ve thought about a few times, but have never actually followed through with: a ‘best of’ post for last year.

In fact, this is the first in a series of two posts – this one will be all about reflecting, then later in January I’ll get back to you with my hopes and plans for 2020.

But more about that later…

For now, here are some of my highs and lows for 2019!

The first few points are some of my big successes this year:

The...

Writing Update and Podcast Interview

The Flight of the Darkstar Dragon released last month, and I’ve been thrilled with the reception so far. However, I’m not resting on my laurels – I’m already well into my next book, the fifth Yarnsworld novel, To Dream and Die as a Taniwha Girl.

Earlier in 2019, I had mentioned I hoped to have this book ready before the end of the year. I think it is pretty clear that I’m going to fall short of that mark by a few months, but I still expect Taniwha Girl to release early in 2020, so I hope you’ll forgive a short delay!
