Amazon.com Review, "A book to keep."
"This is definitely a book that I am keeping. Some books i read and move to the next, this one is one i can keep. I can read it daily. It is relevant for an every day situation. One that I will probably read when: I get married, have a kid, etc. Make my child read it. It is an inspiring book to know that i can make sure I grow up correctly and others around me see it." - Dakota.

Intro Letter from Wife to Editor, The Legacy Letters
December 23—
R. M. Tremayne—Editor
8806 Cutterson Street
Seattle, WA 98002
Dear Mr. Tremayne,
It was nineteen years ago that my husband and I faced what seemed an irreconcilable difference, now minor in retrospect, that caused us to separate. Shortly after his leaving, I found that I was pregnant with twins, but out of anger I did not share this information with him. It was at this time that our tragedy deepened. My husband learned that he was terminally ill and then heard through a mutual friend that I was pregnant. For fear of placing my pregnancy in jeopardy, he decided not to notify me of his impending death. Instead, he lived alone for another seven months, dying far away from his family and friends.
On the tenth birthday of our children, they received from their father, through his former attorney, the enclosed set of letters. It furnished for them the essential memory of their father that I had been unable to provide. His words not only consoled them but exerted a powerful and welcome influence upon their personal lives. The revelation of my husband's noble spirit, and his expressed feelings of love and remorse, also paved the way for my forgiveness.
My husband was a man with whom I had begun to share an extraordinary relationship before he, I, and fate joined forces to end it. Despite my own continuing feelings of personal loss, grief, and remorse, I have agreed with my son and daughter's decision to offer these letters for publication. In doing so, we wish not only to honor my husband's and their father's memory, but to share with others the unique message with which he comforted and inspired us.
Yours respectfully,
(Name Withheld as Requested)
