The Diary Of Ariel Winters

I told my friend Alice that if I started writing a YA book that I'm probably going through a mid life crises! Haha! Guess what happened? I started writing a YA book!

I don't want to confess that I'm having fun with it. Somehow I don't want to admit it. Oh well. It's really good fun! :)

Yesterday, I was thinking of a modern way of writing it while it still being some sort of a book. I set up a Twitter account for @TheArielWinters

Follow along as she writes in her virtual diary to Ophelia. I'm also writing it in a notebook. The posts aren't always the same. I post pictures as well as mini updates. I will update you more in my vlogs.

I have thought of making her a YouTube channel, but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe later in the book.

Here's a diary entry .https://www.instagram.com/p/BHpOpeRh7Lt/?taken-by=phoenixfireafterdarkGood Night! XOXO

The Lone Wolf

Sometimes writing seems like a lonely trek up a steep mountain. Sometimes it seems like no one knows you exist but yourself. Sometimes I feel that way too. But when I start talking to a friend on what I'm working on, I find myself part of a pack.

The journey may be lonely, but the road is paved with friends.

Perseverance

When I tell someone that I write fantasy books, the person sighs and says that they wish they could write a book.

The conversation continues to how they wish they could finish writing a story and how they used to write when they were kids.

I always say that no matter what they're writing, it is possible to finish it. It is possible to finish writing a book. When I give advise, it is ignored as the 'I don't have time' and 'I wish I could be as creative as you' comments continue.

If you are reading this and want to write or finish writing a book, you will make it a priority. It's easy when you break down a certain number of words or write a page a day. After all, most writers started off writing books while holding down a full time job.
