Publisher’s Weekly calls my story “A Stitch In Time” a “Standout” story!
Standout stories include Tonya Liburd’s “A Stitch in Time,” in which a young man uses his gift of time travel to relive moments with his deceased girlfriend only to sink into an addictive pattern…
The Survivor anthology appears to be slated for an August release, according to the review’s tag.

I made Rich Horton’s Campbell Recommendation List!
So, yesterday, I got a private message that I made Rich Horton’s Campbell Recommendation List and I had to see it for myself.
From his website:
Finally, the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. This is given to the best writer whose first professional publication in the SF or Fantasy field appeared in the past two years (2016 or 2017). Writertopia has a page, not guaranteed to be complete, with a list of eligible authors: http://www.writertopia.com/awards/campbell .
I went through that list and came up with the following writers who have done something that impressed me:
G. V. Anderson (who already has a World Fantasy Award!)
R. S. Benedict
J. R. Dawson
Giovanni di Feo
Tonya Liburd
Benjamin C. Kinney
Finbarr O’Reilly
Vina Jie-Min Prasad
Rebecca Roanhorse
D. A. Xiaolin Spires
(…just WHAT…!?!?! THERE I AM!!!)
So excuse me I’m a be passed out on the floor with the vapours…

Review of my story in the upcoming anthology “Shades Within Us”!
I am extremely honoured that Derek Newman-Stille has reviewed my story from the upcoming anthology “Shades Within Us” edited by Lucas K. Law and Susan Forest!
“Tonya Liburd’s “Superfreak” is an intensely powerful and intensely painful tale that examines ideas of safety, security, and home.”
” “Superfreak” is a story that cuts to the quick, but it also reveals a great deal about the sort of lasting pain that comes from abuse and trauma.”

Happy New Year, all!
Talent is insignificant. I know a lot of talented ruins. Beyond talent lie all the usual words: discipline, love, luck, but most of all, endurance. -James Baldwin
