Jerusalem Inception Review

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I enjoyed novel this even though at times I struggled with some details. For instance, how did "Jerusalem" end up with a nickname "Lemmy," when the nickname would only work in English? I tried to make it work in Hebrew all through the novel..."Layimi?" "Yimmi?" "Limey?"
However, I identify with the difficulty of translating Hebrew or Farsi words and Jewish cultural characteristics to an American, English-speaking audience, so I give the author a pass for something that would bother very few of his American readers. How to preserve the ethos and beauty of the language and culture without completely losing the English audience?
The author doesn't need my review for validation, but bravo anyway. This is a good story, well-told.

Just in Time for Purim!
I'm giving away 5 copies of my the suspense short story, Vital Statistics: the Die is Fair for Purim. It's a prequel stand-alone to The Eagle and the Child trilogy. The setting is Oxford University during the Jewish holiday of Purim. If you don't know what Purim is, the story is better than Wikipedia!

Skhubi Snacks
WHAT'S A SKHUBI SNACK?
The first "Skhubi Snack" was released last week. Skhubi Snacks are stand-alone short stories of The Eagle and the Child. These are prequels to the trilogy: The Child, The Exile, and Return to the Nest.
The Skhubi Snacks include both brand-new story ideas as well as re-worked chapters that were deleted from the trilogy. I'll be making these free as long as the amazon promotion rules allow per enrollment period.
The first Skhubi Snack is Vital Statistics: the Die is Fair, which is an action adventure set in Oxford, UK, during the Jewish holiday of Purim.
The next Skhubi Snack will be ready in March, and it is set in Aruba. Samuel and Shahla will team up with Uzi, Simcha, and Eli to rendition a terrorist who could lead them to one of INTERPOL's most wanted in connection with the bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Argentina. The title is War and Trees, and it takes place during the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shvat.
