The Knights Templar Resurrected

A Time to Rise, my new novel releasing May 2nd, is set in the present day, and yet, a brotherhood thought long-dead continues to fight on. The Order of the Knights Templar, resurrected, hunts in the shadows. Why? What is their purpose? What are they fighting? And what is is that Sergeant Alain Autenburg of the Vatican Swiss Guard is willing to die to protect? KNights 2.png Preorder your copy today from Ninestar or Amazon! NineStar Press Amazon.com

New Release – A Time to Rise

I have a brand new novel releasing May 2nd! Time Promo Check out the blurb below and add the book to your TBR on Goodreads! I’ll be posting secret excerpts, behind the scenes snippets, and all sorts of special goodies before the release! Keep on the lookout! History says the Knights Templar were destroyed in 1307. History is wrong. Vampires haunt the sewers beneath Rome, revenants desecrate graveyards, ghouls devour helpless passersby, and incubi stalk dark alleys and seedy nightcl...

Happy Thank You Day!!!

FB_IMG_1431348646013Quick! Get this out before the tequila hits! :) If I had an autobiography, that would be the title. It’s been two phenomenal weeks since I released Enemies of the State. And, don’t worry, I won’t be posting weekly anniversaries of the release. This is the last one. But, this feels like a great time to look back, reflect, and thank everyone. I have had an amazing two week run, rising to #9 on the Amazon sales lists. Even better, I’ve connected with so many amazing new reader...

Brought my Nepali refugee teen home today. She’s doing much better. Still on bed rest and I’ll be administering more meds through the week and weekend, but she’ll be able to rest comfortably at her home and with her family.

Her dad was super excited to leave, too. I think he’s ready to not be sleeping on a pool mattress. He’s a great guy. Her mom had all sorts of favorite foods ready when they got back. I could smell it all before we got to the door! So delicious...

You Do What?

Refugee Health Care. What comes to mind?

When you first set up a refugee camp, there are health requirements you need to meet within the first 30, 60, and 90 days. Dig latrines, enough for one per family. Water, gallons per person per day. Set up a Measles vaccination center ASAP. Depending on the season, prep for a Malaria outbreak. Prep and treat Cholera. Set up...

Living While Gay (LWG) in the Middle East is a constant struggle. A balance of giant sacrifices and tiny freedoms.

Every country is different. Different laws, different cultural norms. Different attitudes. In five countries, homosexuality is not illegal. In others, it’s punishable by death. In still others, the state (or religious) secret police hunt you down, sometimes by trying to lure you into a situation where you can be arrested.

Apps like Grindr and Growlr are a salvation and...
