A Statement From Church Militant

The following is a Statement released by Church Militant via email.

Here are some additional details about which many of you have been inquiring.

The officers of the St. Michael’s Media board are: President Michael Sherry, Treasurer Philip Haapala and Secretary Mary McCann. The board is working to bring new, non-employee members onto the board.

We have hired an outside source to conduct a nationwide search for our new executive director. And in the coming weeks, we will be excited to announce the new department heads in our newly restructured organization.

Church Militant will continue to produce the same content as before, but with a renewed focus on the interaction of Catholicism with secular society. We will seek to emphasize the love and forgiveness of Christ in our presentations and will be reaching out to like-minded people of goodwill to partner with us. We will continue to address theological, cultural, political, and social issues relevant to Christians from an orthodox Catholic perspective.

Various new programs are in the planning stages, including a long-form documentary on forgiveness, as well as a program on the Mystical City of God. While comprehensive specifics of additional programming and content cannot be offered at this time, we will continue to offer Headlines, Rome Dispatch, The Download, morning and evening prayer, daily news articles, and other content our viewers expect and appreciate. Given the recent success of our Ephesians master class with Chris Plance, we hope to do more like it in the future.

We will also be continuing our special events including our Retreats at Sea, the Deposit of Faith Coalition press conferences, and our Strength & Honor Men’s Conference in 2024.

The board realizes it needs to become more aggressive and focused to move forward and provide the Catholic content the apostolate’s donors and supporters deserve and demand. The board is dedicated to initiating best practices and building appropriate governance structures to allow it to accomplish this.

Church Militant will march forward in its mission with a renewed focus, dedicated purpose, and more robust management structure.
We humbly ask for your patience as we grow together in our shared goal of defending our holy Catholic faith and saving souls.

And, as always, we ask for your prayers. Be assured of ours.

To Jesus through Mary,

Mike Sherry, Board President
St. Michael’s Media

St. Francis Xavier

A young Spanish gentleman, in the dangerous days of the Reformation, was making a name for himself as a Professor of Philosophy in the University of Paris, and had seemingly no higher aim, when St. Ignatius, of Loyola, won him to heavenly thoughts.
