So today was sunny and windy and full of blue skies and it got me in the mood to explore a few antique shops. Of course I’m always drawn to old books and typically spend most of my time leafing through them, but this time I was utterly enchanted with the violin cabinet. I held this one and wondered who it once belonged to, whose hands once played upon it, what sort of music it once sang. And then I almost bought it, but it was a little out of my price range. Even so, the wonder still lingers. Also, I played cello in high school, and some days I miss the strings.
