Illustration for one of my favourite childhood books, “Ronia the Robber’s Daughter” by Astrid Lindgren.
One word always stuck with me, and that was what Ronia’s mother called her, a “Nachtdrudenkind” (translates to “child of night and harpies”) because of her independent, free nature and wild hair that was like that of harpies. So I just kinda tried to capture that here.
