Tyler Andrews, Olympic swimming superstar, has always gotten his way—until he falls in love.
Living in the spotlight was just part of Tyler’s life. Magazines, paparazzi, and being the topic of every sports radio show in Australia…it was either adjust or be driven insane. He’d gotten used to his fame. Hell, he even enjoyed it. But there is one thing he can’t get used to—his girlfriend, Ava Jacobs, hates being the center of the public’s attention.
Ava has lived her life in the shadows—and that’s exactly how she likes it.
But after fulfilling her lifelong dream to have her debut novel published, her world is turned on its head by Tyler’s fame. She writes novels for a reason—it’s a quiet, peaceful profession. The last thing she wants is to be thrown into the spotlight.
Love and life don’t always fit as well as fame and fortune.
Frustrated by Ava’s continuous reluctance to publicly embrace their relationship, Tyler takes every opportunity to make his own declarations—social media posts, visiting her at work, and even crashing her first television promotional appearance, which she grudgingly accepted as part of her publishing deal.
So when something changes and Tyler abruptly pulls away, Ava knows something is terribly wrong.
With Olympic selection looming, Ava’s publisher eagerly awaiting a sequel to her hit novel, and day-to-day life taking a toll, Tyler starts to see that life is much easier in the pool than…

A Character Interview- Sam
I am here today with Sam Corra, the main male character in my novel We Will Always Have the Closet. Several of my readers complained that they thought I didn’t give them enough about Sam; that they felt they really didn’t get to know him well. So, I thought I would interview him (and yes, writers are crazy that way. I talk to my characters all the time. Sometimes out loud.).I hope you enjoy it and feel free to add any question in the comments. I will make sure that Mr. Corra will answer them (wink, wink).
Hi Sam. I hope you don’t mind if I ask you a few questions about you and your life. I will start with some real basic stuff. What did you eat for breakfast? Did you make it yourself? Do you wash the pan after you cook the eggs or do you leave it for the maid to clean? Do you have a maid?
(Sam laughs) Okay…strange question to start but… I like to make a good egg sandwich with lots of cheese and spinach on it for breakfast. Needless to say, I have to have a nice hot cup of java to go with it. And yes, I do clean my dishes right away. I hate messes and I do NOT have a maid.
(Not Sam, but just what I kind of envision him to look like. This is actor Colin Egglesfield)
Do you have a pet?
No, my life just is not right for a pet. Being an investigator I never know if I may have to be away from home for a few days. Having a pet is a big responsibility so if you know there is a chance you may not be able to take good care of it, just don’t get one.
Are you an only child?
Wow. You sure jump around with your questions (gives me a dirty look). I am an only child. My parents had me pretty late in life.
Are your parents alive?
(Lowers his gorgeous green eyes) Unfortunately, no. My parents died quite a few years ago.
Do you like to cook? Do you use recipes or make up your own recipes?
I do like to cook once in a while. I don’t follow a recipe but I promise you that I can make you beg for more if you are ever fortunate enough to taste my mac & cheese (winks at me, the cheeky monkey).
(Looks yummy, doesn’t it?)
Do you put both socks on first, or one sock, one shoe?
Holy crap! That’s a bizarre question. Never paid attention. I’m normally too busy thinking of what I need to do next to pay attention to that. Weird. You’d think I’d know something like that…
Are you married? Are you divorced? How many times have you been married?
I have never been married before, but as you know I will be tying the knot with my Petra here very soon. Then I’ll be Mr. Galatas (laughs at his own joke).
Do you live in an apartment or a house?
An apartment in the heart of Seattle. It’s not big, but it has an amazing rooftop garden with awesome views of the Cascade mountains. Very serene.
Do you mow your own lawn or use a landscape service?
I have a guy that comes and takes care of my garden. I do not have a green thumb and I would have killed all the plants—including the grass—by now.
(Sort of like Sam’s rooftop garden)
What is your earliest memory?
(Becomes serious) My birthday when I was in elementary school. My parents were not much for celebrations, so I normally did not get a birthday party. Eventually I got used to it ,but when I was in first or second grade I used to see all the other kids having parties and it was hard for me not to have one.(I feel like kissing him right now but I don’t think Petra would approve)
Do you hold the door open for the person behind you or do you let it go and slam in their face?
(Raises his eyebrow) Hold the door, of course. What kind of person lets the door go on someone’s face?
Do you take chicken soup to your elderly neighbor when they are sick?
I don’t have any elderly neighbors, but I did take quite a few meals to Petra when she was injured. Does that count? (nice try!)
On Monday morning, are you excited to go to work, or are you sad?
It depends on what case I’m working on. And of course I don’t have a Monday through Friday job so my first day at work could very well be on the weekend. (notice he didn’t really answer that question?)
Do you honk at the car in front of you if they didn’t see the light turn green?
(Slaps his own knees. Ouch!) Hell yeah! Just to wake them up. Not out of anger…much. (winks)
Do you exercise or are you a coach potato?
I do exercise. My job is physically demanding so I have to keep in shape especially considering I am no spring chicken. (who cares? Hot tamale!)
(No, not Sam either but a detective/investigator nevertheless)
Have you ever served in the military?
Yes, I was a marine for quite a few years and even did a tour in Afghanistan at the beginning of the war.(Obviously not too keen on talking about his military days)
What is your greatest fear?
Losing Petra. (Now I really want to kiss him.)
Would you like me to get you a glass of water? Or would you rather have soda? Wine? Whiskey?
You’re very kind. (smiles) I like a beer once in a while. A glass of a good red with dinner. But my drink of choice is coffee. Sorry to disappoint you. Any Starbucks around? (Honey, for you I would go fetch it in California).
Thank you Sam for those honest responses. Do you think you could get me an interview with Miss Galatas?
(The original Starbucks in Seattle.Been there.Pretty cool, eh?)
Broken Love
As a young woman, Abby Carmichael had it all—until the night a stranger tore it away…
A year and half after the brutal sexual assault, Abby is finally starting to feel like her old self. Teaching dance classes with enthusiastic kids is just the kind of job she needs—far away from probing eyes or vicious intentions of the opposite sex. When she connects with one of her students, Natalie, it isn’t long until she meets her father, Deputy Ben James.
Ben James is just a regular guy, working to make a life for himself and his daughter…
That’s what Abby tells herself when her sudden attraction for Ben catches her off guard. Abby has been steering clear of men for obvious reasons, and the idea of wanting that kind of relationship is more terrifying than intriguing. But with his doe-eyed daughter tugging at her dance uniform, Ben takes notice.
He’s ready for love, but does her past hold too many secrets?
After the assault, Abby coped by using heavy medication and fell into an ugly chain of one-night stands. But now that she’s out of rehab and finally on the right track, it’s only a matter of time before Ben finds out.
Will Abby be the true love Ben has always wanted? Or is she a tangled challenge, leading to yet another…

—— MEET THE AUTHOR ——
A.J. Norris is a lover of all books but her loyalty remains with her first crush; romance. She graduated from a mid-western college with a degree in absolutely nothing to do with writing whatsoever. It wasn’t until well after college when the build-up of voices inside her head became too overwhelming and needed to be let out, that she began to write. She isn’t following a family legacy of writers, only a need to put words on a piece of paper.
A.J. is a movie buff, especially book adaptations, loves watching her son play baseball and communing with other writers. She lives with her family who are extremely tolerant (at least most of the time) of all her late nights behind the computer, clack clacking away.

WILDE FOR YOU
The Wilde Sisters, Book 3
Publisher: Limitless Publishing
Release Date: May 31, 2016
||| SYNOPSIS |||
Event planner Sage Wilde has lots of lists and no time for a relationship…
Precise to a fault, Sage plans everything—meetings, meals, and sex. But when she learns her youngest sister can’t carry a child, she steps up and commits to the role of a surrogate mother. It’s not out of sentiment, because Sage doesn’t do love or touchy-feely, but out of practicality. She doesn’t plan on marrying or having children, so why not rent out her unused space, right?
Luke Riley is a sexy firefighter who’s looking for love in all the wrong places…
Luke’s morning gets a little brighter when he’s called to a clinic and spots a blonde beauty wearing killer red boots. Though she doesn’t seem interested, he manages to introduce himself. It’s unusual for a woman to push away his advances, but Luke is attracted to her confident nature and strong personality. It’s not long before he wears her down, and she finally agrees to a date.
Who says you can’t mix work with pleasure?
Sage blames her growing affections for Luke on pregnancy hormones. But one last hurrah before her belly swells sounds like a well-deserved thrill. After a few passionate nights, the line between love and lust begins to blur—leaving her more confused than ever.
Luke is mesmerized by her keen wit and social charm. She may claim not to want children, but when she befriends his troubled foster sister, it proves there’s a heart inside of Sage waiting to be loved.
Will Sage’s surrogacy unlock her willingness to commit? Or will Luke stand by as the woman he loves plans a future without him?

Disappointed
I’ll admit it. I’m disappointed. No. I am in fact even a little depressed. I did not expect to be an overnight success or even a success at all. I did expect however to sell a reasonable quantity of books and—shame on me for being so naïve—I did expect my publisher to pick up my second book. Not because I thought I am all that as a writer. But because I believed that would make good business sense. First books rarely put a writer on the map. However second and third ones normally do a lot better. So, in my newbie-no-business-sense mind I thought the publisher would not drop me like a hot potato until at least the second book. Wrong! I was dropped like a giant sack of potatoes in flames right after the first one.
It didn’t sell well and I don’t have the monetary resources to hire PAs to do my marketing for me. I have to, just like thousands of other authors, rely on myself and the kindness of other writers to market myself and my book. It’s a full time job on top of the other two full time jobs I have; teacher and writer. Which I would gladly do if I knew I had somewhere to publish the other books I have written in the meantime.
To add to all the disappointment there is also a sense of time running out. Everybody knows that there is a “shelf life” for authors. The longer it takes for them to publish the next book, the less chances they have of good sales (unless of course you accidentally write the next Harry Potter). My first book was published in January and even though I am trying my best to keep it alive (even though it is kind of unconscious right now) while I desperately look for a publisher for my second and third novel, I know that if I do publish in the next year or so I will be pretty much starting from scratch again. And that, my friends, sucks—if you’ll forgive the vernacular.
Anyone out there who was dropped after his/her first book? How did you bounce back? I have no intentions of hanging my writer’s hat. Writing is a bit too important for me and my sanity to drop it like that. However I am at a bit of a loss as to what to do from here on. I am doing the obvious things; submitting to every moving agent and publisher under the sun (minus the ones whose books have the most horrible covers in the market), advertising my first book everywhere I can think of and afford…I am even having some “face time” with two agents next Fall.
Of course, there is always the self-pub option…

Chapter Thirty-Four
We were leaving the ark when Jasper hailed Edward over the radio, inquiring his whereabouts, and if he’d seen me. “We’re headed your direction now, along with Marco.”
Jasper’s voice warbled incoherently through the speaker.
“What was that?” Edward responded. “Come back.”
A few seconds later, we entered the tunnel and heard, “Does she have Ray’s sat phone?”
He faced me, and I tapped the laptop bag hanging from my shoulder.
“She sure does.”
“Good,” Jasper responded. “That’s our only hope of getting out now.”
I stopped beside Edward who froze and turned his head like rusty clockwork. His worried gaze relayed what I asked aloud. “What does that mean?”
“Jasper. Jasper? Come back.”
There was nothing but fuzz over the radio waves. We glanced at each other, shortly depleted of words and effort. Our silence presumed Teague had either remained belligerent about coming out, or had refused to shut off the jammer. Marco crept closer and placed his hand on Edward’s back, corroborating our third unspoken assumption.
We meandered, lethargically, but when the side door to the stairwell became a beacon of hope, we hastened toward it.
At the top of the landing, Edward decided he would proceed onward with the treatment. Before he departed, I removed my laptop bag, slipped the strap over his head and onto his shoulder, and he barreled upward for the library.

My passion for writing began with a hunger for books from fellow New Jerseyan Judy Blume, and the Nancy Drew mysteries. And each Saturday, a side dish of The Hardy Boys whetted my appetite for hunting down clues and solving crime. Thus began a three-course menu for becoming a writer.
For hors d’oeuvres, I sampled women’s fiction for a bit with novels, All Waters Gathering (2008) and Carruther’s Place (2011). It wasn’t until I realized murder should really be on the menu when the main course became my thriller, Barbecue (2011).
And then the time came for dessert! Rich and sweet is the first Digital Age Cozy™ in the Marjorie Gardens Mystery series—Dial QR for Murder—and now it’s my pleasure to dole out a helping of Prepped for the Kill.

About the Author
I live a quiet life in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with my cat Tufts. Born and raised in Detroit, the kid of a cop, I moved to a small town to raise my two young sons. After that, I moved to an even smaller town to pursue my dreams of being self-sufficient and to explore my love of writing.
Being a life-long prepper, I have done numerous articles for magazines, and speaking engagements at conventions regarding the subject.
My first published novel, The Journal: Cracked Earth, made the Best Seller’s list in just six weeks. Book two of the series, Ash Fall, went to the printer eight months early because of the unprecedented popularity and book three, Crimson Skies, is proving to be even more popular. Raging Tide, the fourth book in the series, was to be the final chapter, but I am delighted to announce that book five (Fault Line), The Journal Trilogy (a compilation of the first three books), and A Prepper’s Cookbook, all to be published in 2016. Also, I’ve started book six in The Journal series.
As an added note, I recently signed with Limitless Publishing for a romance series. The first of The Roamer series is The Reef Roamer, with an anticipated release in July of this summer.
