A Temporary Situation and Time for a Change not currently available.

Just in case there is anybody on here who reads Refuge or Kept in the Dark and then goes looking for my other books, I just wanted to let you know that the other two (A Temporary Situation and Time for a Change) are not currently available - as of yesterday.

They were published with Loose id who are winding down and therefore removing titles from being listed. That's the bad news. The good news is that as soon as I get the rights back I will be putting them back up with brand spanking new covers and maybe a new blurb for Time for a Change - it was the first one I'd ever written after all. I will also be putting them on Kindle Unlimited. I'm hoping the rights won't take that long to revert back, but to be honest I have no idea how long it takes - fingers crossed.

Refuge - 99p on Amazon UK today.

I ran a promo on Amazon US last week to give people a chance to buy a copy of my new book for 99 cents.

It would be really unfair, particularly given the fact I'm from the UK if I didn't do the same on Amazon UK. So therefore, for today only Refuge is available for 99p.

Usual plea for Amazon reviews.

Going to make my usual plea for people who have left reviews on here to please, please take a minute to copy that review to Amazon.

Reviews on Amazon really do make a difference to the author when it comes to visibility on Amazon - sad but true.

I will be eternally grateful and for those people keen for the sequel, it will make me write faster. ;)

Semi-random thoughts about writing Refuge.

I shared a blog on my website which talks about writing the book.

New website

It's very much still work in progress but I will probably be putting the majority of blog posts on there in future rather than on here.

I'm sure there should be a way to make blog posts on there, automatically show up on here, but I don't have a clue how. Here's a link in case anyone wants to visit or follow.

https://hlday.wordpress.com/

I've written a blog post on there which details all the ongoing books I'm working on.

Refuge available for pre-order

Refuge is now available for pre-order.
(I bet you worked that out from the blog post title)

Release date 10th April.

Some links and blurb below.

If you no longer recognize someone, how can you possibly be expected to trust them with your life?

Some might describe Blake Brannigan’s life in the small Yorkshire village of Thwaite as bordering on mundane. His job in a café doesn’t exactly set the world alight. But, he’s got his own house, a boyfriend, and a close-knit group of good friends. For him, that’s more than enough to lead a contented life.

Then in one fell swoop, everything’s ripped away when he’s forced to flee the village with only his boyfriend for company. He doesn’t know why they’re leaving. He hasn’t got the faintest clue what’s going on, and he’s struggling to understand the actions and behavior of a man he thought he knew. A man that it soon becomes clear knows far more about what’s happening than he’s letting on. A man hiding a multitude of secrets.

When the true extent of what’s happening comes to light, Blake is rocked to the core. Peril lurks around every corner. The smallest decision suddenly spells the difference between life and death. If Blake’s to have any chance of survival in this new and frightening world, he’s going to have to unearth buried secrets, figure out whether love really can conquer all, and face emotional, physical, and mental challenges the likes of which he could never have imagined.

One things for sure, when life suddenly boils down to nothing more than the desperate need to find refuge, priorities change. Blake’s certainly have.

Amazon reviews pretty please

Thank to you to everyone who has taken time to review or rate Kept in the Dark on here. Whether you loved it, hated it (not many of those yet - fingers crossed) or were simply indifferent to it (few more of those) I really appreciate the fact that you chose to read it out of all the millions of books out there.

Huge favour to ask though, particularly to those people who review anyway. Could you please take that extra bit of time to post your reviews on Amazon. It really does make a difference to author visibility on there. Author visibility means more sales which means I can carry on writing.
