Those who touch our heart…

“Those who touch our heart…

Today was very special, I don’t if I ever told you, I used to work in a school, those among you who read my book would know, I was the director of the middle school, and generation after generation, I watched those kids grow physically, emotionally, mentally, I watched them overcome personal issues, those they bring from home and explode them on other kids, and other issues they develop due to facing others’.

Bullying was at the heart of the middle school, name it, it was there, physical, sarcasm, belittling others, isolation, on social media, in messages, among friends, you are my friend or will have no friends, and the list is still at the beginning.

I always felt that in the circle of the bullying crime, you have to cure the bully before the bystander and before the victim, since in my opinion, I viewed pain crawling out of him/her to feed their anger and dilemma; the bystanders represent a higher number among the crowd, they need time to build enough character to stand for themselves and others; and last the victims, although bullying hurts, but when surrounded by the right people, they will eventually heal their wounds, once they understand that bullies act out of weakness and pain rather than themselves being weak and wrong!

I used to call bullying the vicious circle… it is a long story.

Anyways, among the many I witness grow, there was this one child, who really had it bad! I and many around me worked very hard to help, unfortunately, he had to leave the school, and go struggle abroad, between his split parents. His departure broke my heart, I knew, at times we can only help a little, but as well I knew, that at least we were his serene community!

Days went by, and his news was only fading away, but he was always on my mind, and I always wondered whether he was able to find himself in the harsh world that he was born in.

I learned at least one lesson per day during school days, except this child taught me many!

Today, as I was in a coffee shop, trying to rest, this gentleman approached me, and said, Miss Badiaa, I am, I didn’t let him finish, I recognized him on the spot, I hugged him, and tears shed… he did succeed after a long struggle, he made it, and I thanked God for crossing his path with mine to put my mind at ease!

Dear parents, readers, and educators,

parents, try to keep your conflicts away from your children,

readers, this school was and still is among the best in the world, no we were not exclusive with bullying issues if you don’t know, every child goes through that cycle,

and educators, always remember that your role is far beyond the book!”

To this child, id you ever get across this article, as I told you this afternoon, I am so proud of you!”

#MOI the Author of Mommy I am a PACER! inspired by my days at school, when I was privileged to learn from those children and serve them to reach better days!

I waited by the door, and instead …

“I waited by the door under the rain after ringing many times, and instead of someone opening, the past came by to remind me of their absence…
Sometimes people leave our life, they just disappear, we wonder why, we miss their presence, we call them when in distress, we speak to them, we wait, wait, and then one day we realize that an action must be taken!
Well, sometimes people leave by choice, other times they leave by force, sometimes they leave because we don’t ask them why, and other times they leave because we don’t ask them to stay…
Separation is tough, on both, especially you cannot know the truth behind it at that moment…
Fight for those you love…
Fight for those worth your presence in their life…
Fight, and get your answers, and don’t let time answer you!”

Words that healed me…

“Words that healed me….

There were times where I was living in a bubble, I was not hiding but I was invisible…

At work I was present but when I looked at myself in the mirror I used to see a colourless picture soul-less, I was active with my responsibilities towards my daughters but otherwise I had no feelings… fear was stronger than faith and my voice was fading away, I was sinking deep in the ocean, in the darkness, and the worst part was, I was feeling safe away from humans. The only strengths that pulled me back to the surface were the voices of my daughters…

I knew I was not alone, I knew there was light in some corners, I knew there was hope…

Events followed, and finally, I was able to speak, in a different way, I know… through the words of my book, the words were my salvation!

I invite you to read my story, because, dear women, you are not alone, I invite you to gain strength through my experience because sometimes all you need is someone to understand your feelings, the unspoken…”

How long should one wait?

“How long should one wait?

A question we ask ourselves when we trying to find a loophole that will help us breach a contract.

Sadly true, especially when one feels alone, helpless, and empty.

The strategy of the isolator is to make their partner feel diminished, helpless, in need of them, belittled, giving them what is needed to survive but never additions to enjoy, and last not giving them space to think.

The victim then starts living in a lack of oxygen mode and their only strategy becomes survival mode.

The victim feels chained, believing they are seeking out, they are waiting for an opportunity, trying to find a loophole, but their mind is fearing freedom, the open space, fearing the unknown, simply because, to them, the walls give them something tangible while freedom is just an endless opportunity too vast where they might be invisible.

The victim, although, can start living free in his soul, but even there, he is chained with fear…

Fear not, your mind is your first safe place, do not let your isolator inhibit it!

Fear not, your soul can fly you farther than you think!

Fear not, you are capable, you are strong, you can do it!

Free your mind, reset your mind, let your mind trust the horizon, seek freedom, seek happiness!”

For every woman

“International Women’s Day… is an every day step along the journey.

It is a struggle to existence…

It is a measure of respect…

It is a two hands achieving one task…

It is a voice to hear…

It is hearing opinions…

It is acknowledgment…

It is empathy…

It is consideration of feelings…

It is empowerment…

It is cheering for success…

It is praising…

It is an invitation to HIM to spend a day in HER shoes…

Like a puzzle, there is a room for every piece, no piece can replace the other, but no puzzle can be complete without all its pieces!

Last, you cannot be heard if you don’t speak and you cannot be seen if you are not seeing yourself!

To courage, pride, perseverance, believing in self, and action, dear colleagues in womenhood, whether a housewife or in the work field, stand up, speak up, and stand tall, you are after all a WOMAN, the world is celebrating you today!”

Help… she said silently!

“Help… she said silently!

You see her every day, you watch her feed her family, you admire her energy, her strength and her ability to take her of everyone else;

You never spoke to her, as she never initiated any subject…

You never approached her, as she always heads out when she feels others coming near…

You never tried, because you never thought about it.

Well, let me share with you a secret, she is dead.

This lady died long ago, she became a robot, her empty life was energized by her duty towards others, her empty heart was filled by giving continuously, as for her soul, she forgot she had one!

Dear friends,

International Women’s Day is approaching, let each one of us make the effort to ensure every person around us has a voice, and their voice is heard, let us make them feel alive, let us remind them that they are loved, let us ensure they remember that they exist!

#MOI as my book said “I am every woman, every story behind closed doors…

Look at life differently!

“Look at life differently, indeed that is what I did!

I stopped feeling the pain, when I became senseless…

I stopped missing people in my life, when I realized I was alone…

I stopped smiling, when I became careless about myself…

Yes, I stopped, because at one point I became a black and white picture; so, no, I told myself, I love life, what ever happened to me?

So I snapped, and the farthest point of happiness and life to me was on the other side of my focus, it was, right there beside me when I turned, and it was then that I realized, we tent to sink in a cup of water while we have a whole ocean to swim!”

#MOI the other side!
