Dear Diary, I apologize…

“Indeed, the diary answered by saying…
They can destroy words but never erase the story that made me the person I am today,
the rest will be written on invisible pages, and destiny shall reveal the truth one day!

Can diaries talk? Well, mine did.
My diary was my confidante while admitting I could not say things as they were. The names were different; the incidents were twisted in a way for me to remember, but I had to protect myself; It was fear, anxiety, and continuous pressure; it was my life.

Yes, diaries can talk; mine advised what to write and reminded me that I was not alone while, in fact, I was.
My diary did embrace my tears, my fear, and my thoughts. I recall, at times, while writing, my hand shaking; and my heart pounding, but the words were recorded anyway. My diary was the strong me, the me that was guiding my fearful self. No, I do not have a double personality, but I had to live many to survive.

& today, while going through the pages of my biography WHERE IS MY ANGEL?, my heart broke for that child, the child I could not help.
I wanted to apologize to my diary, although I did apologize in the book; it’s the child in me that I am apologizing for, the one I could not protect!”

#MOI when memories flash back to the surface, they do so to remind us of the past that made us!

On my way to a happy me!
