How I Became a Best Selling Author
Almost everyone — 81% of people — wants to be an author.
But almost nobody knows how.
That’s why I highly recommend you check out Chandler Bolt’s FREE video training course on how to go from blank page to bestseller in 2016.
This is how I went from no idea to best selling author in 88 days with Reclaiming Hope: Overcoming the Challenges of Parenting Foster and Adopted Children.
See, most of us get wrapped up in minutia, scared by the blank page, or overwhelmed… and decide to wait until “later.”
We say, “Sure, so-and-so did it, but they’re a __________ (“born writer,” single person, full-time author, etc.)…”
“That’d never work for me because I’m ___________ (married with kids, an entrepreneur, college dropout, bad writer, idealess, too busy, and so on). And besides, I have no idea where to start.”
That’s where Chandler helped me the most.
Because he became a 5-time bestselling author after getting C-minuses in English and dropping out of college — all while building a 7-figure business in just two years.
And now he’s revealing how to become a bestselling author this year.
If you’re interested but not sure if you can do it, let’s separate the facts from the fiction.
LIE #1: Becoming an author takes a lot of time.
TRUTH: Okay — this is half-true.
Traditional publishing generally takes over 14 months from first draft to published book. (Longer if you factor in time spent “pitching” your book and finding an agent, editor, or publisher.)
And if you skip the long wait by trying to figure it out on your own, it could still take years.
Because who really just “knows” how to write a book — let alone how to publish and market it?
But with Chandler’s free video course, you can learn exactly how to write, market, and publish your book this year (actually, in 90 days or less).
Of course, your book won’t write itself overnight.
But Chandler found a 3-step approach that makes it faster and easier than ever.
His students (including myself!) have used it to become bestselling authors in just extra minutes of their spare time…. while parenting, traveling Asia, even working THREE jobs.
(Ever heard the saying, “If you want something done, ask the busy person to do it?” Turns out busy people know the secret to getting massive results from their time… and still having time for friends, family, and hobbies.)
LIE #2: You need a great idea right now.
TRUTH: You do need a solid idea for your book.
Fortunately, it’s already in you. You just need a better, easier, faster way to find it — so you can share your knowledge or story with the world.
And it’s easy: Chandler created a system that finds your book idea in just 30 minutes.
LIE #3: You need to be an English major or the next Hemingway or Malcolm Gladwell to become a bestseller.
TRUTH: Yes, writing talent helps.
But is it necessary?
Not at all. Just ask Chandler — he’s a college dropout and C-minus English student.
And he’s already published his FIFTH bestselling book.
He’s even helped non-writers in dozens of fields — engineers, managers, consultants, students, and more — create their bestselling books.
Their “secret” is a system that makes it easy to find their story and get it on paper.
And you can get the entire system in this course – it’s FREE here.
FACT: You can become a bestselling author in 90 days — and you don’t need to do it alone.
Chandler’s new video training course shows you the most effective way to cross “write a book” off your bucket list.
You’ll get the exact strategies, systems, and techniques for every step of the way, from finding your idea and making sure people will read it before you write a single word… to turning your idea into a book FAST… then hitting the bestseller list.
Here’s what you’ll discover:
> The EXACT blueprint to go from blank page to bestselling author in just 90 days — even if you’re busy, bad at writing, or don’t know where to start
> How to build momentum and FINALLY check “write a book” off your bucket list
> How Chandler turned his book into a 7-figure business featured in Business Insider
> The Bestselling Book Launch Blueprint (including Amazon’s secret “Rule of 3”)
> Case studies of bestselling authors who made $1,287, $5,500, even $12,424.03 — with additional royalty checks coming in every month
If you’ve ever wanted to become an author (or use your book to grow your business), you don’t want to miss this free video course.

Let’s Make A Mosaic
She showed me her mosaic.
It was beautiful.
The colors, the careful placement of each broken piece… sealed into its new place, its new home.
As she held it up, another friend shared a story.
“When I was young, my mom would get really upset if we accidentally broke a dish. As I became an adult myself, I found that same anger rise up in me if one of my dishes or fragile pieces was broken. But then one day I visited a friend and I accidentally broke one of her plates.
She exclaimed, ‘Blessing!’
Huh?
‘It’s a blessing that you are in our home. If you were not here with us, this dish would be untouched. But this is evidence of our friendship and your gift of joining us today. It’s a blessing.’”
Naturally, my friend was stunned. But it opened her eyes to a new way of looking at a broken dish.
“Now when a dish breaks, I think, ‘Great! More pieces for my next art project!’
I was convicted. How often I grumble (if not out loud, then internally) when one of my kids breaks a dish. This summer, while house sitting, we broke three glasses, a bowl, and a plate. (Don’t worry, we replaced them).
But still.
My first thought is NOT “Blessing!” and it’s not “Yay! More pieces for my next art project!”
And I wish it were. It reminds me how simply a mindset determines how we respond to a situation.
I reluctantly left the beautiful art piece behind and made my way home, the words of my friend sinking into the soft places of my heart.
That following week, I began to realize how shattered I felt.
I have had a rough year.
I have also had a beautiful year.
But the rough parts have taken their toll. I felt as if every time I moved, a piece of myself broke off and fell to the ground. I sank to my knees, gathering the pieces close to that no passerby would further crush my shards. I’d lean forward to gather a piece, and another would fall off behind. I’d lean back to scoop it up, only to have three or four more fall from all around.
I felt defeated. Helpless. Hopeless.
Pieces of me just kept colliding with the ground and I didn’t have the energy or the amount of arm space to keep them all in place. So I sat in the heap of myself while feet tromped all around.
I didn’t care anymore.
Fine, crush them.
Stomp away.
Oh, I’m not good enough for…? Clink.
I missed another important detail? Clunk.
I didn’t handle that situation right? Clank.
I quit.
I sat with knees drawn in, head tucked, concerned no longer with my crumbling soul.
Then I heard a whisper.
“Let’s make a mosaic.”
The image of my friend’s beautiful art piece came back to me.
It’s beauty strewn from broken pieces of pottery. Pottery that I’m sure was once beautiful… but even more so NOW.
Can it be? Can broken pieces be made more beautiful AFTER their broken?
My friend wrote a beautiful article on just this (coming January)… on how God reimagines and repurposes our broken things. Well, with me, He’s got a lot of material. We could make a world of mosaics.
But He.
He is the Grand Master of Creativity. He is the Mosaic Maker if I’ve ever seen one. He takes broken things and makes them beautiful again… more beautiful than before.
I haven’t seen my finished mosaic yet, but I’ve given Him the pieces.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel hope. I see possibility. I see a hand from Heaven working carefully, repositioning, re-gluing… sometimes even re-breaking, to get just the perfect piece for that perfect spot.
And when another shard of my soul falls to the ground, I hear, “Blessing!” And He scoops it up and finds its place in His masterpiece.
It’s okay to have my pieces fall. It’s okay. I don’t have to scurry to pick them up, to try to pin them back or staple them together… He’s got a plan and it’s big and beautiful.
And in fact, like my friend who sees a new broken dish as supply for her next art project, I’m beginning to see my brokenness as supply for His.
Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

What’s Better Than A Book?
That’s RIGHT!!! My book is NOW available in print! Both on Amazon HERE
and from my printer HERE. And of course, you can still get it on Kindle.
Actually, speaking of Kindle, the price is $2.99 and will go UP by the end of the week… so now is a GREAT time to get it!
The book is doing so well and I’m excited to see the ways that it’s helping people and providing a resource for foster agencies and therapists. What a blessing to use this HARD experience and turn it into a source of hope and comfort for others (and naturally, it provides us hope and comfort, too!)
As we celebrate the first week of Advent, I keep thinking about the first candle: Hope.
Fitting, isn’t it?
This theme that has overwhelmed my heart and soul this year. And my writing. And book titles.
Hope.
How desperately we need it. True hope. Not the hope that disappoints. The hope that inspires and gives and drives and comforts. I find this hope in Christ- in knowing that His ways are higher than mine. And that this momentary (or not-so-momentary) suffering has a cause for greater than my own imaginings.
Beautiful.
And so we countdown. And we wait. And we LIVE while we wait.
Because hope will guide us.
Even when we’ve lost it and need to Reclaim it.
Share some hope this Christmas season, to anyone you know who is thinking about fostering and adopting, who is already doing it, or who works with those who are.
And, in case you missed the video of my book proof arriving…. you won’t want to miss it :D

Let’s Flash Mob Our Message of Hope
I want to FLASH MOB the internet with this message of HOPE in the hard.
Will you join me?
I’ve started a Thunderclap Campaign.
A WHAT?!
I know. It’s sorta like this… I can clap my hands, and the people around me will hear it. But a THUNDERclap… wow, that spreads far and wide.
And that’s what I’d like to do with the book.
Here’s what happens.
I need 100 people to let me post, through Thunderclap, a message about the book… all at once. I’m essentially borrowing your audience, ONE time, in one moment.
We’re flash mobbing the internet on National Adoption Day (Nov 21)
But, Thunderclap won’t post if I don’t have 100 people willing. But think about it… If I have 1,000 friends on Facebook… I can reach those 1,000. But if ONE HUNDRED of us have 1,000 friends… then we’ve reached 100,000 people! HELLO!
So please consider joining my campaign!
You can check out my page (and exactly what will be tweeted or posted) right HERE.
I have had an unbelievable couple of days!!!
90 days ago I didn’t even have a book idea… but bravely, I stepped into Self Publishing School and decided to try something a little different.
The writing is easy. And I live the story, so I didn’t have to make anything up.
But the publishing! The marketing! This… this is scary.
Yet I have heard you. The many reviews and comments about how this book is changing your life. How it’s changing the way you see your family or your friends’ family… or even your own mental health.
One person said:
I’ve adopted four children and fostered many more. I consider myself a “veteran” and yet I still learned a lot from this beautifully written, heart wrenching, inspiring book. Whether you are curious about adopting from foster care or a mom in the trenches, this book is an invaluable resource.
Reclaiming Hope made me feel understood and encouraged. The author gave voice to things I’ve felt but didn’t have the courage to admit for fear of judgment. She gets it! This book whispered into my heart “Be gentle with yourself, Mom.” I am better for having read it.
Wow you guys!!!
So now my mission has grown. I want the message of hope in Reclaiming Hope: Overcoming the Challenges of Parenting Foster and Adopted Children to go beyond me. Beyond my amazing circle.
Will you join me??? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

FREE BOOK! Today is the Last Day
In just over 24 hours, my new book, “Reclaiming Hope: Overcoming the Challenges of Parenting Foster and Adopted Children,” which launched yesterday on National Orphan Day has met with some incredible statistics! I’ve been floored by the response!
As this writing, my book is in NUMBER ONE position in all of its categories.
And, it’s #144 in ALL free Kindle Books. THAT’S WILD!
And the reviews are pouring in. I’m so honored and grateful.
That the heart of why I chose to write this soul-baring book… to encourage others, offer comfort and camaraderie, and to say out-loud the things so often left unsaid, is being experienced.
One reviewer said:
“Marcy Pusey in her book, Reclaiming Hope, shares her story of fostering and adopting with such candor and heart. She doesn’t sugarcoat the reality or gloss over the warts or romanticize the notion of growing a family through this avenue. Instead Ms. Pusey writes her story of loving her foster and adopted kids with a warrior spirit, and in doing so, other parents in her shoes are both being heard and being given a voice- a voice of courage, possibility, and hope. Ms. Pusey makes sure they know they are not alone.”
Wow!
And so many others are responding in similar ways.
The best news is that
Reclaiming Hope: Overcoming the Challenges of Parenting Foster and Adopted Children is FREE TODAY.

Happy National Orphan Day! {And Reclaiming Hope Book Launch}
Well friends, today is the day I’ve been waiting on for soooooo long.
Okay, for 88 days.
Today is the day my newest baby shakes out its wings and flies into the world.
Ironically enough, I didn’t plan to launch my new book, “Reclaiming Hope: Overcoming the Challenges of Parenting Foster and Adopted Children” on National Orphan Day.
Because of lots of formatting issues, my book was delayed a week. I realized the date I’d set was rather arbitrary but I’d set up promos around it and the thought of changing it was stressful.
But the eve of my launch last week, still no formatted book.
SO I changed it to THIS Sunday. To today.
And miraculously, the promos I’d set up could change with me.
Only then did I realize what this Sunday, what today is.
What this launch day is.
It’s National Orphan Day.
And my book is about orphans and social orphans.
And Reclaiming HOPE in the midst of the challenges of raising orphans.
God knew the day this book needed to enter the world.
And I’m grateful.
I’m learning to hold plans loosely, because even though change may come through difficult situations, it might just end up EVEN BETTER in the end.
BECAUSE TODAY IS THE DAY!
Reclaiming Hope: Overcoming the Challenges of Parenting Foster and Adopted Children is available TODAY.
And for TWO days.. it’s FREE.
Why?
Because I want everyone who needs this book to get it. Get it here FREE on November 8th and November 9th.
AND GET THIS… in its first 24 hours, Reclaiming Hope was:

and NUMBER 1 in Family Health.
And I wasn’t even selling it yet.

Getting Ready for Book Launch!
As some of you know, I joined Self Publishing School to play around with publishing some of my own work.
I’ve been working for the traditional book publishing industry (professionally) for eight years now. I’ve been discouraged by how subjective the process is… how many times and editor or agent couldn’t find anything “wrong” with my work, but just didn’t fall in love… So it stays in my file, unread by children everywhere.
I revisited my WHY for writing. Was it the prestige of a publishing house choosing my work? Was it for the money? (HA!)
I write for two reasons.
I write for me. It’s life-giving. It helps me to process and understand my world. My favorite quote sums it up:
I write because I want to encourage others. If anything I’ve experienced can offer comfort, wisdom, hope for others… then I want to share it.So why am I waiting for ONE person in the world to fall in love with my book? When really, I just want it in the hands of readers. I’ve written articles in books and gotten reader feedback that made it SO worth it. Even though I didn’t really make money on the article, the fact that someone’s life was changed, moment was changed, anything for the better… is worth it.
And that is why I joined Self Publishing School. I want to play. I want to learn. I want to get my writing into the hands of people who need to know they aren’t alone. Who need to hear they are normal. Who need a friend to hug them (through a book).
That’s why I’ve chosen to write on a topic very close to my heart… adoption and foster care. There are so, so many challenges that catch us off guard. We’re left feeling ashamed, guilty, resentful, confused, hopeless and helpless.
But when I find another person who gets it, who lives their own version of my story, my burden is lifted a little. Having walked through these ten major challenges ourselves, I want to demystify the experience for those interested, help friends and family know how to best support us (and orphans in general) and provide a sense of camaraderie to everyone in the trenches with us.
It’s not an easy road… but it’s a beautiful road. Beautifully messy and painful. It makes us people who’ve met our deepest parts, the ugly and the lovely.
This is my first project. I hope you’ll join me in launching the book when it comes. We’ll be having a BIG ‘ol party! And I’d love your help spreading the word.
And if you’d like to join my book-supporter team, sign up here.
(By the way, I am LOVING Self Publishing School! Feel free to ask me more about my experience… but I’m a lifer with them and really wouldn’t be doing this without them…)

FMF- Freedom
We live for it.
We die for it.
We fight for it.
We marry for it.
Then divorce for it.
We abort children for it.
We march in parades and wave flags for it.
We sign petitions, email representatives, and call for it.
Sometimes we catch freedom in the eye of a stranger. We shape our lives after theirs… maybe then we’ll have the equation for freedom.
Can you buy freedom?
Can it be wooed or persuaded or pinned down?
Does it come at the end of a gun or the planting of a flag?
In some ways, under some definitions, yes.
But there have been a few jailed men who knew more freedom than most “free” men. There has been freedom among the oppressed, the enslaved, the humiliated, and the beggar.
There is a power… a Love, that is way bigger than this world and what it offers. And that Love extends freedom from His throne to our hearts. It’s free… and it’s not.
It costs everything you think freedom is.
The idea that freedom is synonymous with your happiness. That freedom means you have a right to say and do whatever you please. That freedom is for the unchained, un-imprisoned.
That is the freedom of toddlers (okay, and of teens) when it’s lived out.
We have an opportunity to grasp freedom at a greater depth… the freedom that calls to restraint, thoughtfulness, selflessness, joy in suffering, and eternal rewards that this world can’t touch.
This is what it means to be free… to know that our chains (self-imposed or otherwise), our marriages, our children, our disease or illness, our social status, our bank account are not the defining narrative around our freedom.
1 Corinthians 6:12 “Everything is permissible for me”–but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me”–but I will not be mastered by anything.
I choose to be free.
