BLOGPOST 61: OH MY GOD!

He stands, black leather bible in hand, between two yellow flags that flap out selectively un-contextualised words of scripture like a pair of oversized budgerigars on steroids. What I notice first about Him is his eyes, his hunted eyes, that belie his purported belief in the message he wants me […]

Blog post 61: A Moving Experience with the Ruby Fairies

I moved apartments this week. I’ve been renovating the destination apartment for several months now, so I’ve been able to transfer the possessions I use less frequently a few at a time. Nevertheless, the final move, even with Werner’s speedy and professional assistance (http://tiny.cc/3g50ay), has been a big job. Werner said I mustn’t […]

Blogpost 60: This is for the Hopeless Losers

Matt retired last week. Twelve years as an active working dog has come to an end. Julie came down from Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and decommissioned him. Not that Matt knew of course. He just goes on doing what he always did. But there is one crucial difference – he no longer has a […]

Blogpost 58: Sometimes only a new set of photos will do

There comes a time in every author’s life (well maybe some author’s lives) (ok, this author’s life) when he has to admit he’s lost so much weight that his profile photo just isn’t hacking it any more.     So he looks through his album to see if anything still looks like him.  […]

THE DRAGON IS FREE

Win a copy of Dragonsong on Goodreads Giveaway

If you live in the UK you can enter the Goodreads giveaway to win a free copy of Dragonsong:

https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

Giveaway opens 21st March, closes 29th March.

Rebekah, daughter of Merlin and noblewoman of Albion has been driven to madness by the murder of her lover Vidar. In her torment she bargains with the Prince of Demons to turn her into a dragon. Once transformed, she seeks to take revenge upon her father, Merlin, whom she is fooled into believing is responsible for Vidar’s death.

Behind the subterfuge stands Oberon, Captain-King of Elves, who cannot foresee the devastation his jealousy and unrequited love for Rebekah will unleash upon the world of Gaia. Its salvation depends on the retrieval of the Sleep Stone from the gates of Hell. But if the stone is not returned the demon army will awake and ransack Gaia in a war that will destroy its existence. Time is the solution – but only if the gods of Asgard can find a way of stopping it.
