The recent news around abortion is a reminder of the disgraceful history our country has using legislation to control its citizen’s bodies and sexuality. Sodomy laws were on the books until 2003. These laws targeted members of the LGBT community made it illegal for 2 consenting adults to have sex. These laws also affected straight and married couples as well.

This poster is an info-graph that explains the relationship that America has with sodomy law, privacy and civil rights through key moments in each state that centered around death, progress, punishment and sterilization.

I just want to remind everyone that we all need to continue to fight to keep our bodies free. Please call your representatives and tell them that protecting roe v wade is a priority for you. Let’s make sure everyone has access to abortion.
