A Visitor


We had lots of snow last week, somewhere between 10 and 16 inches. A warm, driving rain melted most of it but there's still snow in our woods.

Perhaps that's the reason what we think of as "our" fox trotted out from the woods yesterday, found a relatively dry bit of grass, and settled in. First, he groomed himself. Or perhaps it's herself; I can't be sure. I only know that lots and lots of licking and cleaning went on. Then, our fox moved into a patch of sunlight and napped.
