combining author names
I have been receiving some nice reviews for my books that I've written under the author name of Ailene Frances. I was so new when I started participating in goodreads.com that I created separate accounts. I now question the wisdom in that. My reason for using author names for different genres is to keep the confusion for my readers at a minimum. I have some who do not enjoy paranormal, but like the romance; some who want paranormal but nothing scary and then some who want a few thrills. By using different author names, those who follow me immediately know what type of book it is. Ailene Frances is straight romance with no paranormal and I have a goodreads.com account for that name while Eileen Sheehan writes paranormal with a different goodreads.com account. Yet, if you search Eileen Sheehan at an online bookseller like amazon, ALL of my author names come up. So, now the question is how to make that happen on goodreads.com, if it is even possible. I guess this is a good lesson in doing your research before you just dive into something :)

I just received a nice 5 star review on amazon in the UK. for The Vampire, The Handler, and Me. Sometimes they show up on amazon.com too and sometimes they don't I'm a writer, so that technical stuff isn't my forte. If anyone knows if there is a way to get all of t he reviews from the books to show up on both amazons, I'd love it if you shared with me.The Vampire, the Handler, and Me

Getting in the groove
Yikes! I've spent so much time away from the everyday stuff... like housework... while I completed my novels and now that I've finished them I can't seem to get into the groove of things. I'm staring at the dust rag and it's staring back but neither of us are moving!

FALL IS AROUND THE CORNER...SO IS HALLOWEEN!
I have been lax at writing in my blog due to a writing frenzy. Now that I've slowed down with writing novels, I'll do my best to catch everyone up on the news...
First off:
I'm happy to announced that I have a new paranormal romance/thriller that is Halloween themed to be released on October 15,2017. "A Vampire's Love" by Eileen Sheehan.
To celebrate, it is on sale for pre-order for a whopping 99 cents. It is available in eBook format only at this time from most online booksellers.
Secondly: I released book 3 of the Vampire Witch Trilogy over the summer. It's titled Kings & Queens.
I had a blast writing the trilogy ( Vampire Witch, Vampire Queen, Kings & Queens) and I'm happy to say it's starting go get noticed. Yeah!!!
Third: My alternate author persona, Ailene Frances, ( I use it to keep genre confusion at bay) released 2 novels over the summer. They're both historical westerns and are taking off nicely. "Paper Widow" starts out in Texas right after the civil war and finished in Philadelphia.
Keeping in the same post civil war timeline, "Love at Wolf Creek" (released September 1,2017 )
starts out in New Orleans and ends up in west Texas. Both are fast paced romances that have received a good response.
Fourth: For those who have read Shadow Love (book 1 of the trilogy)
I want you to know I'm in the process of writing book 2 of the trilogy and expect it to be ready in December.. January at the latest).
Fifth: I'm running a review campaign. For every review you send a valid link for to show where you posted it, you name will go into a drawing to be held on December 4th for a FREE 2017 Kindle Fire. details are on my author website www.sheehan-author.info If you want to be on my newsletter to keep abreast of info, there's a link to sign up on my website as well.
Finally: I'm both honored and humbled to see that there is a fan group for Eileen Sheehan on goodreads. It was started about a month ago. The organizer has announced she wants to discuss Vampire Witch with the group and is offering one lucky reader a free copy!!!
Okay .. I think I've gotten you caught up.
Until I post again... Happy Reading!!!

I got lucky and found a radio personality to create voice overs for the videos I'm posting for my novels. She's doing a wonderful job!

Reviews: Author vrs Editor
Although I'm very, very grateful to receive a 3 star rating or above for my novels, I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that some of my ratings were lowered due to editing. I'm the author and I feel the reviewers should be reviewing on writing style, flow, character development, and concept of the story and not how good or bad the editor/publisher did. I had one review where the reader said she liked my book and would read more if I got a new editor. I have no control over my editors so I don't know what to say about that except that I'm sorry the reader/reviewer is willing to forego getting lost in one of my stories -when she clearly stated she enjoyed the one she read- simply because the editing isn't up to her standards. Personally, although I am with a small press, I feel they do well. The editing hiccups I've found in my novels are minor and shouldn't detract the average reader from the flow of the story. I've read plenty of books published by the big publishers like Random House, Avon, and Bantam Books and they've had their fair share of editing errors. One book actually repeated the same paragraph three times! Editors and publishers should be rated separately in my opinion. But then, that's just my opinion. :)
