Speaking...

I will be leaving on Tuesday for Sheridan, Wyoming---a six or eight hour drive from here--to speak to addictionology students at Sheridan College about addiction prevention, changes caused in addicts/alcoholics by their addictions, etc.
They are reading NOTHING as part of their classwork.
How cool is that!

Giveaway

I want to thank everyone who signed up for my giveaway--over 1200 people! That's mind-boggling. Goodreads picked ten winners & I have sent the books out---to Canada, the UK, Florida, Wisconsin, Washington, Oklahoma, Indiana & California. I really enjoy going to the post office with a stack of envelops going out over the world, so i will do this again in a bit.
Thank you all again.

Greetings!

Hello to Mary Emmanuelle of the Philippines, my first "follower." Before I retired I worked as an RN in San Francisco. Most of my co-workers were from the Philippines, and we had all kinds of fun--parties, potlucks, you name it.

So, what am I up to? Currently I am doing an almost-last edit on my next novel, "Eden", set in San Francisco in 1968. This one is a love story with a lot of twists, not quite as intense as "Nothing". I have also started working on a third novel, about war. And I'm collecting information for a fourth, the stories of my immigrant grandmothers and great-grandmothers. It will have to be fiction, because all I have to go on is a few oral stories from my (now deceased) parents, and paper trails with many holes. I am keeping busy!
