Chapter 2-Opportunity Knocks for a Sorcerer

Siobhan

Month 9, Day 28, Monday 1:20 a.m.

Siobhan had always prided herself on her intelligence. Taking stock of the facts was easy. She reached down and gripped the flesh between her legs for confirmation. Yes, she had been transformed into a man.

Her rescuer’s eyebrows rose as he watched her grope herself.

She’d noticed no signs of a Circle or the necessary Word to implement such a complex and delicate transmutation. ‘Even if those were d...

Chapter 1 – Escape Via Unexpected Transmutation

Siobhan

Month 9, Day 28, Monday 1:00 a.m.

For once, Siobhan felt grateful that the average person was such an imbecile, and that the coppers, even in a big city like Gilbratha, were no exception. She looked out of an alley behind the inn, tugging down the hood of the ratty cloak she had stolen to ensure it still covered her features. She’d been watching for a while, shivering in the dark. She needed to be sure the ambush they’d set could ...

GOAA Paperbacks + Updates

Hey guys! I hope all of you are doing well during these difficult times. My family and I are all alright, though some of us have been struggling with diminished incomes and the lifestyle restrictions of the stay-at-home order in Idaho. Personally, my lifestyle hasn’t changed too much, since I have a home office and am a bit of a homebody anyway, but I am looking forward to things going back to normal.

2. Chapter 2 Test

As if I would allow something so trivial to stop me, she thought, glaring at the wood-bordered glass panes. She released one hands death grip on the windowsill and fumbled cold, clumsy fingers into one of the pouches of the ratty jacket she wore under the even more ratty cloak. She pulled out a soft wax crayon and carefully drew a small circle on the glass, completely enclosing one of the hand-sized panes. That was where the magic would take effect. There could be no gaps in the...

Gods of Ash and Amber Progress

Gods of Ash and Amber is the next book in the Seeds of Chaos series, for those of you who don’t know.

I finished writing the 115th page earlier today, and this is what it looks like at the moment.

GOAA Partial Manuscript

I’m making pretty good progress, and if things continue in this vein, the book should be finished and available for purchase by the end of the year.

In other news, I’m working on a couple cool projects.

I’m creating an illustrated dossier on the Seal of Ni...

Audiobook-Gods of Myth and Midnight

The audiobook for Gods of Myth and Midnight, (the book which I have taken to calling “The Beast” because it’s so big), is live in stores. Natalie Duke, narrator extraordinaire, once again did a fantastic job.

Click here or on the image to listen to the first five minutes.

If you are an Audible member, this $30 audiobook can be had with a $15 credit, approximately 50% off, which is a great deal. If you’re not, they’re offering 2 free audiobooks to new members through thi...

Audiobook-Gods of Rust and Ruin

Shoutout to my audio fans. Gods of Rust and Ruin is available in audiobook now, and perhaps even more beautifully produced than the first book. Natalie Duke once again did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life, and I’ve been getting compliments about her male voices–they don’t sound squeaky and artificial.

If you’d like to check out the audio sample, just click on the image below.

[The Art of] Gods of Smoke and Stars: A Seeds of Chaos Adventure

Gods of Smoke and Stars is live on Amazon, and has been sent to all the people on my newsletter list. I’m setting it up so that future signups will get the free download link automatically, so you’re not out of luck if you haven’t already signed up for it.

While I was creating the cover this time, I took some screenshots of the process. This was the fastest I’ve ever created a cover, at about ten unbroken hours of work. Of course, I regretted that afterward when I realized I hadn’t eaten that...
