#Honor and #Memory of Scattered Flowers – #FourthofJuly #Remembrance

.
For All
Who Give more than they receive,
Who Stand against the surging tides,
Who Cherish Each Breath, Each Heartbeat;
For there may not be another,
Who Sacrifice that others might not,
Who Uphold what is taken for granted,
Who are Unseen, often Unheard;
Yet Never Forgotten,
Who walk in Honour
Strength,
Integrity;
And Boldly Go into the darkness
Where others fear to tread.
.
All Heart-felt Gratitude and Unwavering Respect
To All Those Who Have and Do
Serve.
What is the cost of Death and Shadows,
Fire and light?
What is the Impact of bombs exploding
Through the Harrowing Night?
Do we consider the Tears and Sorrow,
Guns and Ammo?
Who carries the Flag,
our Soldiers in Camo?
Will we remember their Courage and Honor
Their Distinction by Hours?
What Tribute of Memory remains
Beyond the Scattered Flowers?
In Loving Remembrance of all those who have and who still do serve this country/ Every country. On this day of Honour as we recall the sacrifices made, it may be the best time of all to understand that ALL soldiers serve for love of their own country and to protect and honour the way of life THEY hold dear. Right or Wrong, Truth or Lies, the Soldier carries the heaviest burden.

Oh My Love – #Love #Poetry
Where wilt Thou go
Oh My Love,
Where my Soul would not Follow?
Unto the very Ends of the Earth,
Past Orion,
Beyond the Seas of Stars,
Even there I shall Follow Thee,
Oh My Love.
For even as Time
Slips ever onward,
Entrapping and Enwrapping us
In Its Cosmic Web,
My Heart will Seek Thee, Eternally,
Questing after Thy Love,
Desiring only The Touch of Thy Hand,
Yearning for the Sweet Wine of Thy Loving Kiss,
Oh My Love.
In all my Life, as Truest Breath can tell,
I have Known Thee,
Loved Thee,
Waited upon Thee,
Longed for Thee,
Seen Thee in all others, who pale by comparison
To Thy Beauty.
Oh My Love.
Thine is my Heart,
Thine is my Soul,
Given Freely,
Yearning Ever,
Breathlessly Patient
For Thee,
Oh My Love.

#FantasyFriday- Less Than More – #FlashFiction
[image error]
.
Time spun in a loose thread. So much had happened, so much was left undone. Unsaid. His life, as it might have been, hung in the precarious balance. All that could have been was already lost, wasn’t it. Did he really have a choice or was he as driven by the storm as the leaves that spun around him in the frosty November wind?
Possibility and reality battled for his bliss as surely as he battled for supremacy, but in the end, did it really matter? He hadn’t chosen what had happened to him; he didn’t ask to be what he had been made into, but what he was drove all he would be.
It was exhausting and he was tired. He wanted so much more, so much less. Just to dance on the breeze, blissful, free. Just to be, what he chose to be.
Less than more.
With her.

Celthric asked me how I got into writing, what my writing routine is, how I come up with ideas, and asked more in depth questions about Dark Fey, such as what inspired the story and what is the message behind the shadows.

#WriteFantasyFriday #WritingPrompt #Kickoff
[image error]
.
Welcome to a new chapter in BnV history! Im excited to kick off what I hope will be an exciting, challenging, and rewarding writing prompt series that will not only, perhaps, stretch your writing skills, but allow (fantasy) writers to find and enjoy each other’s writing/blogs.
Here’s what I’m thinking… (I will post the first writing prompt this coming Friday!)
Each Fantasy Friday, I will post a picture or series of pictures as a Fantasy Writing Prompt. I will specify what the post should be about: a little world building; a conversation between characters; a conflict perhaps; I might inflict a word-limit; or a format, just a direction to get the imagination flowing. Then, it’s up to YOU.
Use the image(s) provided as inspiration to create a post on your own blog…write whatever you choose, (Please see post specifications below) and link back to the prompt post on BnV with a pingback . If you are unsure of how to create a pingback, find an excellent tutorial here.
All Pingbacks from your blog need to be manually approved, so to ensure I see them, and also to invite readers to visit your blog, please copy and paste your Title and link into the comments section of the post.
Each week, I will feature selected posts on BnV by copying/pasting the first several lines of your post and a pingback to your blog. Please be sure to use the #WriteFantasyFriday hashtag so we can all find each other.
Writing Prompts are a Fun-tastic way to share your skill and to find others with similar interests. Please be sure to visit, read and explore the sites of other writers.
Post Specifications:
BnV’s blog rating is PG-13. Please abide.
No gratuitous violence or sex, please.
Posts glamorizing hatred, discrimination, or anything else of an extreme-negative nature will not be linked to BnV.
By creating a post on your blog that pings back to BnV under the #WriteFantasyFriday hashtag, you agree to allow me to feature your post on BnV by copying/pasting content from yours to mine.
Thank you for sharing your time and talent with BnV. I’m excited to meet you, learn more about your writing, and build a community through Fantasy.

#Fantasy #WritingPrompt #Preview- Probing for Interest
[image error]
.
For my fellow writers: Would you be interested in a writing prompt series that would showcase your writing?
I’ve had this thought turning for several weeks in my mind to run a writing- prompt series on my blog. This wouldn’t be the same ol’ same ol’ and would not be quite like other writing prompt posts. It would be a picture/ image with a specific prompt in mind…. something you have to write about concerning the picture. Ok ok that’s your basic prompt- produce prefabrication, but this is the variation.
I’d post a picture like above and ask writers to create a character in 1000 words or less. Or I’d post a landscape and want writers to do a little world building. Maybe I’d post two characters and see what fantastic dialog they might have or what sort of conflict they would get into.
Being a fantasy writer, and someone who loves to create, the notion appeals, but does it appeal to you?
I welcome you’re feedback, because if your game, it’s a go!
