Fishnets in the Far East – A #TrueStory #BookSpotlight
[image error].
Set in 1989, a year after the Olympic Games in South Korea, this is the true story of a young dancer, whose naive dream of working in the Far East turns into a nightmare.
Signing a six month contract, she is whisked off to the other side of the world where she finds herself in a host of situations which she is ill-equipped to deal with. Dancing her way across South Korea with two friends, she is propositioned by the Mafia, turned away by the British Embassy, caught in a student riot, and taken to Korean brothels to name but a few of her ordeals and adventures.
At times both shocking and humorous, this story takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as you follow the life of a timid young girl ,finding her voice and learning to stand up for herself in a male-orientated world of alcohol, sex and seedy nightclubs.
.

Shadows – #poetry of #night
Soliloquy of Night,
Illumine my Steps while I Walk,
Unseen by Spectral Vastness,
Unheard by Light,
Until Apollo Returns
And Together we may Dance
Toward the Distant Horizon,
Unfettered by Impossibility,
Unhindered by anything except Imagination.

#FriendsFriday- #author #blogger #photographer #poet #networking
[image error]
.
It’s a new year and a new decade. Keeping things fresh is always a challenge for any blogger, myself included. So I sat down and thought about what I’d like to do with BooknVolume for 2020. I like to support my kindred creative spirits. I try to offer opportunities for everyone to grow their audience and I always hope to inspire.
With that in mind I came up with a relatively simple idea. A random act of kindness that is, admittedly, not entirely random. Each Friday I will offer a new way to help all of us…. or at least those of us who are interested… build our following, network with fellow creative minds, and make new friends.
Today is a fairly simple beginning. Drop your link for your author website or blog in the comments. Then follow others who do the same . Pop back now and then…. follow more. Explore their creativity. Talk with them about new ideas. Spotlight each other on your sites and build bridges to new possibilities.
Hopefully, anyway

The Mercy Series – Looking for #BetaReaders for #Post Apocalyptic #Fantasy #Romance
[image error]
.
What was Angel of Mercy, but is now Misericorde, has passed its final revision/edit. Complete at 174K I have broken it into two books.
I would love for it to go through another round of Beta Readers. Looking for 2-3 interested readers who are willing to read both segments and answer a few questions about it.
Timetable: 1 month
If interested, please let me know.
Thank you
Its a Post Apocalyptic Fantasy Romance. It tells the story of life after the first 3 Horsemen, Pestilence, War and Famine, have ridden. In the 4th Era after the Great Cataclysm, (roughly 400 years in the future) the final horseman, Death, is waiting on the Archangel of Mercy to release him. Tzadkiel has been sent to earth in human form to find one human who still understands Mercy. He has been given 100 years, after which Death must be released. With only 4 years remaining, he finds her; a servant named Lourdes, but they must escape the harsh dictatorship of the Eminent Protectorate and find a place of sanctuary before the appointed hundred years are spent and Death is freed from the abyss.

Anotomy of the Spirit- #BookReview
[image error]
.
A fascinating and compelling examination of the physical and spiritual body, Anatomy of the Spirit gives an in depth look at the relationship between the power of positive thought and manifestations of the physical body.I found the comparisons between religions both intriguing and inspiring, as it showed how similar most philosophies truly are and how, regardless of what we choose to entitle our beliefs, we share the same foundations of hope.Although it was certainly not a quick read and I found myself re-reading most sections at least twice in order to fully understand the complexities the author relates, I was truly enriched through the experience.
If you seek a deeper understanding of the intricacies of mind, body and spirit, I highly recommend this comprehensive exploration of what makes us powerful, successful and vibrant on all levels.

Your Softest Word – #passionate #love #poetry for #ValentinesDay
[image error]
.
In the Supple Enrapturing Embrace
Of Your Softest Word
My Heart fills with Turbulent Passion
And Unbridled Yearning
That chaffs and dashes
Against the Calm Calamity of Femininity
Within the deepest parts of me,
Whispering of Unhurried Love and
The Poised Repose of Tranquility;
Rousing this storm of Rapacious Desire
In the Quietest Sound
Of Your Softest Word!

.
Whispers
In the Eloquent Hush
Of the Paralyzing,
Unquestioning,
Delirious Rush,
To Draw You to me,
To Bare Our Souls,
To Tremble
Beneath
Passion’s Shivering Blush.
Intoxication
of Fervent Desire,
Spinning,
Abandon
of Encompassing Fire,
To Draw me to You,
To Bare Our Souls,
Beguiling
Tapestry
of Shadows Conspire.
Whirlwind
In the Blustering Calm,
Tempestuous
Seduction
Of Unparalleled Balm,
To Draw Close Together,
To Bare Our Souls,
Dizzying
Caress
Of Unbridled Aplomb.

Under Your Gaze- #passionate #love #poetry for #ValentinesDay

.
Passion spills from my heart,
Pounds from my soul,
Thunders from all that shivers inside,
Under your burning gaze
Desire melds like music and muse
Longing heartbeats cascade
In tempestuous calamity
Under your burning gaze
All that lies unseen
And all that waits, unspoken
Comes to life and trembles
Under your burning gaze

A Philosophical Twist on Dark versus Light- #Epic #YA #Fantasy
[image error]
.
The Reviled are the enemy. They embody brutality in every form. The Fey of the Light know only too well how savage the Dark Fey can be and daring to think otherwise invites tragedy.
Gairynzvl was once one of the Reviled and lived the riotous life of all Dark Ones, but his acceptance by The Fey of the Light has changed all that. Now, he is opposing The Reviled by returning into their dark realm and rescuing childfey. The actions taken by him and his band of Liberators are not only changing lives, they are fulfilling ancient prophecies and proving long-accepted beliefs inaccurate.
Those who have lived in the Light all their lives are suddenly faced with unavoidable questions. How is peace achieved? Can Light unite with Darkness? Can all the atrocities the Dark Ones have inflicted really be forgiven?
The Fey of the Light have a deadly choice to make: ignore the emerging truth or risk the tranquility of their realm and go to war to offer the Reviled a chance to change.Dark Fey Breaking Into The Light asks the questions, can we truly understand another’s misery without knowing the extent to which they suffer? Would we willingly risk our lives for someone without experiencing some measure of their pain, despair, or anger?
Reviewed by Book Review Directory – 4 Stars A tale of battle, redemption, and an empathetic look at one’s stance against “evil,” this book will appeal to fantasy fans who like a story that makes them think. Full of fanciful creatures, strange languages, and exotic names, the story is a philosophical twist on the perennial tale of dark versus light.
