By Your Soft Hand

In the Shimmers of Luminous Night,

By the Cascades of Your Softest Light,

Whispers of Dreams Caress my Mind,

Tumbling Harmonies, Gentle and Kind;

Silhouette of Tenderest Inspiration

Plays in my Heart like Sweet Ovation,

Though I am barely able to Understand

The Magic Imbued by Your Soft Hand.

O’er the shadows of darkness and fear,

Your Lustrous Smile is ever Near,

Reaching across the Velvet Expanse

As my Questing Perception Bends upon Chance;

Singing from Mysterious depths of Yore

Into my Spirit to Sweetly Implore,

While all the poetic words I have planned,

Fall Mute in the Beauty Cast By Your Soft Hand.

The Shallow Expanse

In the Shallow Expanse of Time

Turning within

A Wheel within a Wheel

Spirals of Epochs Singing in Rhyme

As Renewal Begins

From Real to Surreal

.

.

Time Ever Unfolding

To Glisten in the void

Whispers of Echoes

Waiting

Unemployed

While the Depths of Forgetfulness

Yawn in the Haze

Debating the Judiciousness

Of less Sanguine Days

.

.

Yet the Shallow Expanse of Mystery

Breathlessly Awaits

A Leaf Upon a Barren Tree

Lingering Long to be Set Free

Delicately Hesitates

As Chance conspires with Treachery.

.

This poem, although a bit darker than my norm, touches on the shadows of Grief, Despair, Loneliness and Depression that, at times, affect us all.  The shifting form is meant to symbolize the changing aspects of these emotional states and how they, ultimately, leave us feeling.

In the Hush of Waiting Dawn,

As Life stirs soft upon the Celestial Tide,

Silence lifts its head, Delicately unheard,

Mute in the rush of conceit and pride.

There in the Quietude,

Waiting,

Unseen;

Lingering in the Calamitous

Stillness,

So Serene,

Children awaken to the Fair, Bright Morn,

Emptiness Yawning to Adorn;

Yet Smiles from Sweet faces Shine,

Without enmity,

Without anger,

Breathing Uncertainty with Rhyme.

Stand then not upon Apathetic Stone,

Where rock and shale fall tempestuously round,

But Reach across the Glimmering Morn,

With Harmonious Love Your Soul’s Truest Sound.

With Open Heart and Open Mind,

Gift of Yourself,

Generosity in Kind,

And Quell the cries

As Your Compassion Dries

All the Tears

Of a Thousand Years.

Stand not within callous Apathetic Shade,

While greed and avarice plunder and raid,

But with Open Heart and Open Mind,

Gift of Yourself

and Receive in Kind.

Perfection in Unity – Happy Valentines Day

Long We have been separated, Love,

Though in the Dawn of Existence we Kissed Each Other Sweetly.

Born of One Spirit,

Lingering in Breathless Anticipation,

Sharing Each Thought,

Each Breath,

Each Moment,

Unified in Perfection, Perfection in Unity.

Birth brought division, separation, desertion,

Calamity of loneliness and confusion.

Each day I have sought You,

Seeking the Beauty of Your Eyes,

Listening for the Allure of Your Voice,

Reaching for Your Exquisite Hands,

Yearning for the Splendor Your Touch,

Desiring none but You.

Alas, Love, my Search was Fruitless.

Stolen Time, Ineffectual Years,

Breaking the Hourglass of Patience,

Diminishing Essence to Pallor.

Inescapable Longing.

Silence.

Until A Glimmer Escaped the tedium,

A Question Poised on Possibility,

Hope Sprung from her hiding place deep within my Heart

At Seeing You,

Recognizing You,

Though I knew not Your Name,

Certain only of the Pounding of my Spirit,

The Trembling of my Heart,

The Longing Intensified disproportionately.

Waiting

In Patience, Praying

In Diligence, Believing

In Expectant Certainty.

You Are He!

Made For Me, Made With Me,

Sweet Handsome Harmony to my solitary Melody.

Breathe with Me, Again, My Love,

Unified in Perfection, Perfection in Unity.

Lover, come, Unto my Heart,

With Zealous, Devoted Fire,

And Let me Never turn away,

O, Let me Never tire;

For in the Dappled Midnight Hour,

With Luminous Illusion,

Passion Seeks the Blushing Flower,

And All of its confusion.

Lover, Come, Unto my Spirit,

Gentle let Your Devotion Be,

Pour out Your Fervor, Moment by Moment,

Play my Desire like Symphony.

For as the Moonlit night Expands,

Your Piquant Charms I shall Extol,

Caress my Senses with Your Loving Hands,

And Unmask My Blushing Soul.
