Reckless, Sassy and His By Dulcie Taylor
Dulcie Taylor
This is her first book with Blushing but Dulcie has been writing short stories for a while. I’ll let her tell you all about what she had given us here. The cover alone is delicioso.
Released November 29, 2015
From the Back Cover:
Five shorts stories about reckless ladies that try, tempt, and push the men that love them.
A feminist forced to live with a cantankerous rancher, a woman trapped in a storm with only her regrets, a stubborn spirit needing three lifetimes to learn, and a few more.
Journey with these feisty ladies as they discover themselves and love, despite their best efforts to unknowingly sabotage themselves.
Here is a taste from one story:
BUTTING HEADS WITH THE DEVIL
In the 1800’s, women are not privy to much of the comings and goings of men, but Bianca Belle Caruthers wants to change that! Planning to write about her experience to share with other women, Bianca dresses as a man and joins a poker game in a seedy saloon. But, getting caught was not part of Bianca’s plot – neither was being forced to stay with Benjamin McPherson, a local rancher that is as cantankerous as he is handsome.
Excerpt
He wasn’t in the house. She sat and began to eat her stew, despite her lack of appetite.
The dog came out of her room and took his place under the table. She called him a traitor but gave him a piece of her bread dipped in stew. He lapped it up greedily. Even a spoiled daddy’s girl like her knew how to cook. She prided herself on being well-rounded and independent.
That’s what would make her a good writer. Mr. McPherson had the wrong idea about her from the start. She didn’t do the things she did to push the limits with her father; she did them to learn about the world around her. She wanted to know what men did when they weren’t with their wives.
She had wanted to know what it was like to gamble and be free like a man. She had even wanted to know what whiskey tasted like on her tongue. And now, more than anything, she wanted to know what it felt like to have Benjamin slide inside her.
The door opened and she looked over her shoulder. He was sweaty and dusty from gathering his horses. He looked so masculine that she began to feel throbbing below again. What was it about him that made her secret parts swell?
“Are you hungry?”
She wanted to give him the cold shoulder to show him she was mad about his brutality, but she really wasn’t, and besides, it would look better if she warmed him up to her before making him mad enough to touch her again.
Even if it meant putting up with the sweet sting of his hand on her bottom, she’d do it just to have him near her again.
“I am. Is it poisoned?” His brows were raised. She shook her head.
“I couldn’t find any.”
He bent to remove his boots and then went to wash up. When he returned, he was clean and didn’t look nearly as dangerous as she knew he was.
“Go get the other chair in the bedroom.”
She did as he told her. In the room, she felt an electric zap shoot through her. The belt lay on the floor beside the chair. She picked it up, touching the worn, smooth leather. She wondered what it would have felt like against her skin. Would it have felt as thrilling as his hand?

Alyssa: I have read this anthology and loved it. Dulcie, let me ask you a few questions so people get to know you.
Dulcie: Sure
Do you weave real life events and experiences into your fiction?
They say write what you know, so I use some real life knowledge. For example, I’m in the field of nursing so I often have protagonist in the medical field. I try to set stories in places I’ve been or am somewhat familiar with.
Have you ever written something that made you wish you could be sucked into your own scene?
Um, hell yeah! There are many hot spanking scenes I’d like to jump into! Or even just the travelling stuff… one of my many WIP’s takes place in Columbia –insert author here please!
Where do you get your inspiration?
Always from a character that forms in my head – someone quirky, broken or facing a weird challenge. The story comes later.
What kind of research do you undergo for each new story?
Sometimes I have to pour through travel books or blogs to learn new things and sometimes there is no research at all. Recently, I learned how to sail a small catamaran for one of the stories in another short story collection book awaiting release. I do love learning new things though so it fun!
Do you write from start to finish or do you write in segments and piece it together later?
I write from start to finish but jump back and forth and add or delete things as I go as well.
What is something fun about you that readers might like to learn?
I always fall for my hero – just don’t tell my husband. My hero is always in love with someone else btw. -_-
THANKS FOR DROPPING BY, DULCIE.

LOVING LIAM
Well, Thanksgiving was wonderful as always, and the living room is in chaos with all of the decorations in various levels of disarray awaiting some industrious soul, (no, not I) to find just that perfect spot for it.
While you muddle through the transition from one holiday to another, please remember that during this time of year LESS is MORE. Pick those specific things that have meaning to you and your family, not what you think SHOULD have meaning and simply focus on those things.
Okay, here is a tantalizing particle from book #3 in the O’Connors. This is the last book focused on Liam and Jocelyn. Ciarán and Katherine will be the next brother to tell his story in 2016. But for now, take a taste of the last book of Liam and Jocelyn’s story, LOVING LIAM out Wednesday, December 2, 2015. (look back on an earlier blog for the Irish words and meanings-below, mo ghrá=my love) ENJOY!
Jocelyn
Just when newly married Jocelyn thought life could not get any better things began to crumble around her. She and Liam live an idyllic life on a prosperous ranch in the corner of the Bitterroot Mountains. Jocelyn knows better, but she has a secret that she’s keeping from Liam that threatens their happy existence and she knows what her traditional husband thinks about secrets. Is it worth the risk?
Liam
Jocelyn is the wife that Liam has longed for, right down to allowing him his old-fashioned way of dealing with things when she steps too far out of bounds. But she has trouble trusting him with everything. And now, something is not right and when he discovers how wrong things are , he is not sure how to handle his wife’s betrayal or if he even can.
After waiting ten years to finally have the life they have longed for, will Jocelyn choose to throw it all away to keep her secrets safe?
Excerpt:
“Jos, are you okay? I am here, mo ghrá.”
“Liam, I guess you will have to come get me, I hydroplaned into the ditch, and I hit my head on the steering wheel. I’m okay. But, I cannot get out of the ditch. I’m sorry. I am so sorry. I should have listened to you. I know you are angry.” The tears flowed. Her words garbled.
“Jocelyn, hush honey. Let me know where you are, so I know where to look.” Liam’s voice held concern, but was gentle and soothing, which made Jocelyn want to cry even more.
“Umm, I’m passed the Walter’s place, but not the Morgan’s place. Does that help?”
“Yep, so keep talking to me baby, and I will be on you soon. Keep your lights on.”
The next moments were tense as Liam coaxed conversation out of Jocelyn while he searched for her car. She was crying uncontrollably now even as he closed the distance. Once upon the vehicle, he was able to relax. He had been gripping the steering wheel so hard that he had to peel his hands off. He also thought grimly, they would be having a conversation about this event. He expected that if she were not hurt more than a bump on her head, she would be having a warm bottom session later this afternoon. He shook his head. This woman was the most exasperating woman he had ever known and he loved her desperately. She had the power to anger and excite him at the same time. What could you do with a woman like that, but be as passionate about life as she was and hold on for the ride?

Taming Texanna
Well, Liam’s Lessons – the end of Liam and Jocelyn’s story is due out December 2nd. Should be in ARC this week.
Got a tidbit for my new work- Taming Texanna
(a tidbit of info on the names: I was looking at family history and the neighbors they had and the names Louisiana, Alabama, and Texanna came up. So I have this cute threesome series that I want to name For Taming Texanna, Loving Louisiana and Anything for Alabama. All names from that time frame.
Now on to this cute western set in 1870’s after Civil War when Fort Worth was where cattle left for the Wichita market and trains. Colton McFadden, half Native American, the Civil war did not feel like his fight. He had been a Texas Ranger because it fit his personality, build up Texas and stop the more seedy part of life from interfering in the growth of Texas.
However, after the War, Fort Worth needed a lot of law enforcement as they grew by leaps and bounds due to cattle. Meanwhile, the Rangers he was previously a part of now that the war was over and the short run of the Texas Police was over, began to harass his mother and grandmother’s people. Not entering that fight either. His mother and grandmother safe with him, he joined the US Marshals to keep Fort Worth safe and lawful in its population explosion. Now they wanted him to settle down and stay close to home while manning their office in Fort Worth.
Texanna Rae Garrett was nineteen, living with a strict but clueless father who wanted his girl to get married and have babies, just like every other young lady. He wasn’t particular who she did it with. Anna liked that he did not push her to any one man to marry because there were so many nice cowboys to look at and ponder on with her friend Mandy.
Problem was Mandy was one to try anything once. Anna Rae was not as adventuresome so when Mandy started to spy on a particularly nice looking shopkeeper as he changed his clothes she was convinced to look too. Shocked at seeing underclothes she quickly looked away but not before Amanda’s cousin Colton, the U.S. Marshal, caught them.
Anna thought that if anyone was nice to look at, that Colton was one but he was a spanker Mandy had said and it sure looked like it as he just sent Mandy home to wait on him since her father had passed on, Colt was going to take care of his errant cousin. Anna couldn’t afford for her father to find out she was in one more scrape because his warning rang in her ears of the fate of her back end if she did.
Wonder if Colt would handle it with her as well so he didn’t go tell her Pa. He wouldn’t be as hard as her own Pa who was already irritated with her. Well, a girl could hope anyway, right?

The Code of The West by Kelly Dawson
Good Morning Kelly! Tell us about your new book. Continue on until you finish an excerpt from her book under the hot cowboy below!!!!
THE code OF THE WEST – By Kelly Dawson
Author Bio: Kelly Dawson loves anything to do with horses, rodeos and cowboys, and loves to get lost in a good book – preferably a rural romance where a strong woman falls in love with a ruggedly-handsome, tough but gentle cowboy, and these are the types of characters who feature in the stories she writes. Only in Kelly’s books, the cowboys are even better because they spank!
She lives literally at the bottom of the world in the South Island of New Zealand, with her husband, four kids, a dog and a cat.QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Are you like any of your heroines?
Parts of me are, yes. Both mostly, my heroines are a mix of myself, people I know, and the completely made-up.
How many books have you written? Are they all spanking fiction?
I have 4 books published now, heaps that are in various stages of progress, and heaps more ideas swirling around in my head. No, they’re not all spanking fiction, but they’re all romance. Although it will be a while before something that isn’t spanking fiction will be published.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I thought I did, but it turns out that no, I don’t. The way I write, the topics I choose … they’re constantly changing and developing. That’s a good thing, right?
Do you see writing as a career?
Absolutely! It doesn’t pay very much yet, but I’m hopeful that it will, one day. Being a writer is what I’ve always wanted to do, so this opportunity is a dream come true for me.
What is the best thing you have done in your life?
Marrying my wonderful husband and having my 4 beautiful children. They are what makes my life worth living.
Tell us about a unique or quirky habit of yours
I have Tourette’s Syndrome. So while the strange things I do aren’t exactly habits, it looks like they are. Other than my visible tics, I have to peg all my washing on the line using colour-co-ordinated pegs, and things must be hung up a certain way. If anyone helps me hang out the washing it drives me insane, because I’m going along after them, “fixing” it all LOL.
Have you ever had the feeling you were being watched?
All the time! Not so much since we’ve been in this house, but I swear a previous house we lived in was haunted. I felt like there was always something looking over my shoulder. It was horrid!
What’s your favorite material object that you already own?
My laptop. I would be lost without it.
If you could eliminate one thing from your daily schedule, what would it be and why?
Washing dishes. Self-explanatory really! – I hate washing dishes – they’re never ending!
Tea or coffee?
Coffee. Vanilla latte, preferably.

Blurb:
In the years since the tragic death of her parents, Jedda-Lyn Cross has given everything she has to keep the family ranch running. She has grown accustomed to getting no help at all from her alcoholic brother, but when his violent, sadistic friend tries to make Jedda his wife against her will, it is the last straw.
Her attacker is the son of the richest family in town, and with the corrupt sheriff ready to do his bidding Jedda is desperate to leave town in a hurry. With no money and no horse, her best chance of making her escape comes in the form of a soon-to-be-departing cattle drive led by the famous trail boss Wes Jordan. But a young woman has little hope of gaining employment on a cattle drive, so drastic measures will be required…
Wes is none too pleased when he discovers that the new drover he hired is actually a beautiful twenty-two-year-old woman disguised as a boy, but after hearing Jedda’s story he promises to protect her. As he quickly realizes, however, that will be easier said than done. Jedda is sassy, headstrong, and in serious need of a good, hard, bare-bottom spanking, and when her reckless disregard for her own safety finally pushes him too far, Wes takes her firmly in hand.
After a painful, humiliating punishment from the handsome trail boss, Jedda is left with her bottom burning and her mind set awhirl. In spite of everything, she aches for Wes to take her in his arms, and when at last he does the pleasure of his skillful, passionate lovemaking nearly takes her breath away. But with her obsessed former suitor and his hired guns still after her, can she bring herself to accept the fact that, for a man like Wes, risking his life to protect the woman he loves is just part of what it means to live by the code of the west.
Publisher’s Note: The Code of the West is an erotic romance novel that contains sexual scenes and spankings, including domestic discipline in a historical setting. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

The Code of the West by Kelly Dawson
Excerpt:
“I’m not a child!” she protested.
“No,” Mr Jordan agreed, sliding down off his gelding. “I wouldn’t do to a child what I’m about to do to you. What were you thinking? There’s no doctor within 200 miles – you could have been killed!”
“But I wasn’t,” she pointed out. “We were fine.”
She watched in morbid fascination as Mr Jordan took off his gun belt, draping it over the saddle of his horse. Then he rolled up his sleeves to the elbows to expose corded, muscular forearms. He was really going to do it! There were no wooden spoons out here – was he just going to use his hand? The thought intrigued her. She took in his sheer size, his incredible strength, his powerful muscles, his well-toned body. She took note of his huge, calloused hands. She gulped. Somehow, she didn’t think Mr Jordan would need anything other than the palm of his hand to ignite a fire in her backside.
“I gave you an order,” he told her sternly, but so quietly that she could barely hear him.
“I’m not much good at taking orders.” She waved her hand dismissively. “It was just me and Neil for a long time. I’m not used to being obedient.”
“Well you’re about to learn.”

REGENCY WIP that I am working on in NANO
Lord Stephen Thayer has heard from his father for several years that it is time to set up his nursery and take a wife. Finally, he agrees. To assist in his endeavor and their desire, they make a “small” announcement while hosting their annual Soiree. The small announcement becomes big news overnight and now, on his doorstep is a nonstop stream of eligible and yet unsuitable young ladies for his perusal and ultimate choice.
And as of yet, no choice has been made.
Annalise has reached her eighteenth birthday. Her mother has passed away some time ago leaving Annalise with a young brother and her merchant stepfather. Her stepfather, who felt her only usefulness was to care for his young son and keep house, has decided today is the day she is to go to a husband. He announces it at breakfast and calmly goes to make the best deal he can by close of business.
When Lord Thayer decides to accompany his head groomsman and his valet to the market things become very interesting as he meets a young woman, obviously of the merchant class but only obvious in her clothing. Her manner is of a young, unfettered, and spoiled woman. She fascinates Stephen and when he is traveling home, he hears the story of the young woman.
Immediately, Stephen decides she must be for him, and without further thought makes the carriage return. And so the story begins.

Question up for discussion
A wonderful reviewer made an observation that I would love to discuss. The observation was on Liam’s Lessons and this is from Marybeth’s review:
“… Jocelyn is very stressed by her work. She is overwhelmed. Kelli tricks her into seeing Liam again and he just takes over. Jocelyn is torn by her feelings. She both wants him to take over and doesn’t want him to. I’m quite sure this is a problem a lot of women in this day have. Our society says to be independent. But, our minds and souls crave submission…”
QUESTION: Do you see this as true and in what way. If not, why not?
My take on this:
Because I am a woman I will take it from my perspective.
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it, is never more truly born out than in the head of household-submission issue.
There are so many levels of submission and so many shades of color that to define it outside of myself would be wrong. That being said, I believe that we as women have taken our issues and created a huge mess. Yes, I want equal pay for equal work. Yes, I want to be eligible for promotion, consideration, valued as the white anglo saxon protestant stereotypical dominant culture. (There are many who think that is a myth as well in today’s world).
But do I want equality in my home, marriage, life connections with my husband? Hell no. Are you kidding me? My responsibility to be all, do all, ends at the door of my home. I would be a mess if I had to carry that take charge, “I got this” persona into the home and maintain. Nope. I want to give over to my husband who considers me in all big decisions and most little ones.
I don’t want a man or my husband to do everything for me, in fact, I am very independent and self assured in my professional career. I am damn good at what I do and have worked hard to get to where I am am today. However, I love to let him take over when I am tired or frustrated and feeling like the world has decided I am it’s new whipping boy (girl) that he is just there for me.
He knows me so well that he can see signs and my tells that alert him to my limits and when I am about to meet them. I love that he just knows me so well that he can identify the causes and the correlations between my mood and what that tells him about me. He checks in with me often.
I don’t always want to tell him things and I can rest assured that even if I don’t disclose he already has an idea and will draw it out, address it, address me and then FIX the PROBLEM if it is in his power to fix. If it isn’t, then he fixes ME so that I can survive it.
To me that is submission. It isn’t just a bedroom thing, it is a life thing. No, I don’t wait on him hand and foot, he doesn’t want that. No, I don’t agree to do,say, be whatever he wants, we don’t want that, but it is allowing him to be the head of our home in a loving and intuitive way because he makes me his business.
And I DO crave it. I believe in letting go and letting GOD lead… in my marriage, I believe in letting go and letting hubby lead. And oh what a relief it truly is.
So, That is where I stand on…
And on blushing Books’ site tonight. This is where I stand: #5!!!

An interview with Liam O’Connor
The O’Connor’s – Liam O’Connor
So I have Liam O’Connor here from the Circle C Ranch owner and operator of one of the biggest operations in Montana and we are going to get to know him a little bit better. For those who can’t see him, Liam is a 6’1”, dark haired man with hazel eyes. He tells me he is 32 years old and is happiest in wranglers and a T-shirt, cowboy boots, and a Stetson on his head.
1. Liam are you married?
Yeah well, I just got married but I hate that word newlywed because Jocelyn and I were engaged 10 years ago. So I guess we just finally figured it out and she agreed to marry me.
2. Tell me a little bit about your family?
Sure, you know I have a large family a large Irish ranching family. My mom’s parents came over from Ireland so my grandfather could work on the transit system. And my Da’s parents were originally from Kansas.
So like I said I have a lot of siblings six to be exact. I am the eldest. Then comes my sister Kelli, who is the same age as my wife Jocelyn. Then comes Shane who is married to Alisha, Quinlan, Caoimhe who is married to Andrew Ciarán, and Cian. Ciarán works the ranch with me.
3. So if Jocelyn word to describe how to pick you out in a crowd what would she say?
Well if I were outside I’d always have a Stetson on and probably of course not far from me. She’d say I’m a person who’s going to look you straight in the eye when I talk or when I watch you talk, and I don’t care for mouthing off or any kind of disrespect. And if I’m frustrated I am going to run my hands through my hair, and shake my head. And I don’t laugh is easy as some guys but I’m certainly laughing more now that Jocelyn is with me.
4. If you had a free day and your only mission was to enjoy yourself what would you do?
I would gather up my wife, right off to the Creek on horseback and spend the day lounging, and fishing or hunting. And loving on her.
5. Wow that sounds really nice. Do you think that would be her choice too?
Yeah, I don’t think that I would have too much problem convincing her.
6. What are you most proud of about your life?
Well, not to brag, but I do a brisk business with everything going on at the Circle C. But personally I think that finally getting my head out of my ass and getting a ring on Jocelyn’s finger was my finest moment.
7. What are you most ashamed of in your life?
You know I was an ass wife as an older brother sometimes when we were growing up, and my sisters were worried about me finding out things more than our father. That just isn’t right. And I think that carried over into the first time that Jocelyn and I were engaged I was heavy-handed and possessive and to dictatorial for life.
8. Do you think it turned out the way your parents expected?
I think so. You know they never put pressure on us to do anything but what we wanted to do, but to be good people. Now that I’m looking at starting a family, that’s what I want, a safe and happy family.
9. What is the worst thing that has happened in your life and what did you learn from it?
I lost Jocelyn 10 years ago. I was young and full of myself. I learned it isn’t all about me and what I think are what I want because when you’re talking about relationships is all about her and you together. When you get a chance take it if you get a second chance thank God and then move heaven and earth to take advantage of it.
10. What would you like for you it to say on your tombstone?
(His eyebrows left into his hairline.) Yeah, I like to think on that too much. (And then he ran his hand through his hair.) But if pushed I guess I’d want it to say he was the best son, husband, and father that he could’ve been.
11. What is your greatest fear?
That something will happen to Jocelyn or any of my family on my watch. Then I didn’t or couldn’t protect them when they needed it most. That I let them down.
12. What is the most important thing in your life what do you value most?
Jocelyn and my family. Always. Without them nothing else matters. There is no value without them.
13. Liam O’Connor so what makes you mad? What makes you angry?
I hate stupid. I know I just that I was stupid before but I didn’t like me then either. What makes me angry? (He leans forward and places his forearms on his thighs) disrespect in meanness. Oh and line. Lion in my house will earn you a weapon for sure. If you’re a man, then you’re at risk of losing my respect. Freely given the first time, hard won the second time. You are not likely to get a third time.
14. So in closing, what would you want the world to know about Liam O’Connor? How do you feel about life now? What would you change? How about the future?
Well, right now, it is the best it has ever been since Jocelyn and I married. Well, theoretically. That woman can tie me up in knots faster than a cow-roping at a rodeo. But you know my Da says it right when he says the spice of life is a sassy wife. So let me tell you that my life has gotten pretty spicy in the last few months. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Would I change anything oh you know. We all have those things that we wished we had done. It’s too late to worry about those things now, I don’t waste my time looking back, usually.
So looking in the future? Hell, I don’t know. I’ll let Jocelyn tell me what that’s supposed to look like. I think she’s got us all mapped out and that’s fine with me.
Thank you Liam O’Connor owner/operator of the Circle C Ranch, here in Elk Ridge.

A quick introduction to my characters in the O’Connors
The O’Connors
I will be interviewing these lovely people as they appear in their own books, but some do not have their own. They were too busy with life to stop, but I am mentioning them here as well.
What I would like to do is just introduce each to you and in the next week you will then get the full interviews from several of them to start us on the journey of the O’Connors.
A little Irish Name History-
The O’Connor name is arguably the most important, historically, of all Irish Sur Names. It is descended from Conchobhar, King of Connacht, who died in battle in 971 a.d. – The last two high kings were from this line. The motto is “I neither fear nor desire”. Unfortunately, if desire is to take all forms of its word’s meanings, this family did not follow their creed. No real fear but desire… well, you tell me after reading their stories. My own family is from the O’Connor Sect and there is tremendous historical facts, legends, and intrigue with this line of Irishmen.
O’Connor Parents- Sean and Siobhan O’Connor – (also known as “Da” and Mom) are in their late forties, live outside of Sheridan, Wyoming. All O’Connor children were born and raised on the Emerald Isle Ranch.
Children in order:
Liam- 22 Years old (pronounced LEE-em) -is the eldest of the O’Connors- when this story begins, it is approximately 10 years earlier than present day. That is the novella-Her Sweet Complication. Liam’s Lessons takes us 10 years forward which is where we begin the trek in earnest.
Liam has just finished his four-year degree earning a Bachelors in Agricultural Business Management with an emphasis in Ranch and Cattle Breeding. He is presently looking for a large ranch to learn on for experience. His family ranch is smaller and he has higher dreams. Liam has taken on the eldest role completely. Women love him, his sisters vacillate between love and hate. He is a demanding man.
Kelli O’Connor- (Irish spelling- Ceallaigh) 18 yrs old
Kelli is the second eldest and when this story begins she is starting her four-year degree and is focusing on pre-law. She is Jocelyn Charles’ roommate in the dorm. She is ecstatic to be living on her own and just wants to have fun. That is what draws the guys to her, her bubbly personality. Having five brothers makes keeping boyfriends difficult.
Shane O’Connor- 17 years old.
Shane has already decided that ranching full time is not for him. He gives his sweat to the construction field. Not really a minded college kid, he has already started his apprenticeship with a local contractor on his free hours and summer. Shane is the listener. He is a hard catch but the girls try hard.
Quinlan – 16 years old (pronounced Qwen-lan) Also called Quinn.
Quinn is the middle child of the O’Connors. He is the third son. Considered the “hard nose” of the group. Rules are to be followed according to Quinn and the high school girls love him until he tells them ‘no’. There no doubt who is the leader in his relationships even at 16. Law enforcement is an interest to him.
Caoimhe -15 years old (pronounced either- Qwee-va or Kee-va)
Second and youngest daughter of the O’Connors. Good thing she is not as adventuresome as Kelli because every man in her male-dominated house tells her what to do. She has good business sense and is helping her Da keep the daily books. She has a sweet disposition but can be naughty sometimes that draws the attention of her brothers.
Ciarán – 14 years old (pronounced Key-rawn)
Fourth O’Connor son and he works on the ranch with Da. Good student, learning about the girls but mostly focused on the horses and cattle on the ranch. Watches out for his sisters.
Cián- 12-(pronounced Kee-an or Keene)

In Honor of New Books
My new Series has some words in Gaelic. I had the privilege to go to Ireland just over one year ago and I cannot tell you the beauty that was there. I have been able to visit a number of countries over the years but as part of my own heritage is Irish, I especially enjoyed the wonder of Ireland.
In Her Sweet Complication- there are most of these phrases
In Liam’s Lessons- there are less but I try to use the same for obvious reasons
Finally, in Loving Liam- (out in the future) there is no new words but use of the now familiar words
In the other books of the series, that include more of the O’Connor family, you will find less overall usage of words. After reading the Liam books, you will know why. I will add a few words when those appear in future O’Connor books.
A site that helps with pronunciation if it is important to know the exact (well, regional) way to say it: My own family would have predominately used the Connacht pronunciation being predominately from that sect.
This link is to the word LOVE and you can change the words from there but it gives you a start.

Liam’s Lessons O’Connor Series
BK 2
Excerpt
“Jocelyn, did you know who I was or did you look through your security view before you opened that door? Woman, you could have been attacked by a maniac. You still need a keeper.”
Yep, nothing had changed.
“She said you were still bossy, still kind of authoritarian in your manner, and still thought women should be women should be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.”
She chose to remember him as caring, protective, the kind of man that took ordinary out of the dictionary. Darn, he is talking again without me. Pay attention Jocelyn.
Liam began to sputter. “What? Who? Kelli? She most certainly did not.”
“Sorry, my interpretation and maybe I was a bit hard. Shoes are probably okay to wear, right?”
It was discourteous to say that, but Mr. Liam O’Connor, my dream world has crashed right into reality and has left no survivors. But even though she remembered him more fondly than accurately in her dreams it didn’t mean he didn’t still have that violent effect on her. She squirmed at the realization she was damp already.
“Yep and you haven’t changed from the spunky woman who needed her bottom warmed on a regular basis. The door? Checking before opening? What have you to say about that because I can assure you that right now I am wondering if there is enough time to take you over my lap and tear into your perky bottom?”
“I don’t have to answer for my actions with you. I am a grown woman that can answer my own door as I please. And I don’t have one of those peephole things, see? Look, I have already had an assaultive incident this afternoon and so my quota is met for the day. And I am too tired to go tonight but your sister insists so I can be the buffer between you and Jake or something. There is that look again, Liam.”
She ended in exasperation at his conversation and her traitorous body.
While Jocelyn was thinking she should show herself to be self-sufficient, she went about it the wrong way and saw Liam’s eyebrow shoot up at her statement. If possible, the hard expression on his face cemented further. But Jocelyn wasn’t to be put off. Warming to her subject and ignoring the emotional flashing red lights indicating the oncoming train, she blithely continued.
“So do not think that I can be bullied, told what to do, hell, for today, I could probably bite through steel.”
Liam paused for a moment to process the information. Then he gave Jocelyn a broad grin as he leaned on the doorframe, arms folded across his chest. She remembered that smile well. It could heat her up so hot her panties were in danger of bursting into flames.
“Had a hard day at the office, dear?”
