PROMISING SWAG GIVEAWAY

Ever wonder what a character is like outside of a book?
In honour of the release of PROMISING, my fellow romance author Jessie Clever, interviewed Kira Metallurgist, the lead character in my New Adult romance trilogy, to find out what she’s like when not spending time in my novels, ... online or ... in my head.

Three words come to mind when I think of how to describe this second book in this futuristic New Adult romance trilogy: captivating, passionate and thrilling. What I’m saying is, I have a feeling you’ll enjoy reading the novel as much as I did writing it .
Take a minute to pre-order your copy of PROMSING today and then spread the word by sharing it through your social media. As a new author, I greatly appreciate referrals to my books!

New Blog Series for Aspiring and New Authors
HOW TO KEEP WRITING WHEN YOU HAVE A DAY JOB
I decided to become an author in November 2014. I use the word ‘decided’ because after years of vacillating that’s exactly what I did.
In my early twenties, I remember thinking that I wasn’t ready to be an author. I mean, what did I really have to say? I also didn’t consider writing a money-making venture. In my young career-driven mind, being an author seemed like the starving artist’s way of life and held very little appeal. On top of all that was the rejection! Why anyone would subject themselves to a series of rejection letters baffled me! (Remember, I was filled with youthful ignorance and naive confidence back then.)
Even though it’s now easier than ever to be published (at least, independently), being an author still doesn’t mean instantly acquiring riches. With thousands of books added to virtual catalogues each year, obscurity has only become more of a challenge as publishing opportunities have increased. Having said that, it’s no longer about needing to sell thousands of books to support your writing. In fact, it’s because of the community-centred approach driven by the digital age that new and aspiring authors have a better chance at developing a group of loyal readers.
One of the questions I’m asked most often when I tell people I’m an author is “Where do you get the time?” This is usually followed by “I’ve always wanted to write a book.”
I hate to say it, but the only way to write a book is to sit your butt down and to just write the darn thing. I know… I know. That offers you very little help, and if I were seeking sources of inspiration, I too would hate reading that little nugget of wisdom, so … I’ve decided to offer more constructive advice in my new blog series: How to Keep Writing When you Have a Day Job.

NEW GROUP: Rebel Miller Books
Hi everyone!
I hope your holidays are going well! Here in the outskirts of Toronto, Canada, I'm enjoying an unseasonably warm fall. In fact, we probably won't be seeing snow this Christmas! Who said Canada was the frigid North?!
Though I was born in Jamaica, I've lived in Canada most of my life, so green grass on Christmas day just doesn't make sense to me!
Besides the weather :), I wanted to tell you about the new Goodreads group I've started. It's aptly called Rebel Miller Books. I invite you to join at the following link:
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
The plan is to engage with readers about my novels, discuss upcoming releases, tell you a little bit about me and give you an insider view on how I develop the stories I enjoy writing. As well, I'd LOVE to hear from you! As an independent author, your opinions and feedback are invaluable to me, so feel free to share your thoughts!
I look forward to seeing you on Rebel Miller Books! Until then, Happy Holidays!
