Syracuse Basketball and Easter Egg Hunts?
Yep, you read that right. I wanted to know what the most searched items were today, the day before Easter, and found the winners were Syracuse Basketball and Easter Egg Hunts! One of the highlighted articles explained why an Easter egg hunt ended early… pushy parents. Leave it to the adults to ruin the day, haha! I’m shaking my head. A long time ago I worked for the YMCA as a project coordinator. I had my fill of dealing with parents who had kids on one of our sports teams. Ai yai yai. They can be ruthless, I tell ya! However, there is a topic that I can help parents better understand. Self-harm is a taboo topic that is often avoided. We all know someone who self-harms, probably several someones. Recently, I had a fabulous idea. On my Facebook author page, I invited friends, family, and fans to send in their poetry works. As you can see, the idea was well received and quite a few poems came in. The submissions speak for themselves!
