Much Like Thanksgiving Dinner, a Little Bit of Everything...

Happy Holidays Everyone! Thanksgiving has come and gone, and soon Christmas will too. I am super excited to announce a new release! Back in December (I think) I teamed up with a small and fantastic group of writers with the idea of putting together a war-themed anthology. The idea was that we would each create a fresh new story that would in some way tie back into our own existing individual, and very different works. Release Day, Tuesday, August 1stPre-Order Now (FREE)!There was one problem though... I had just finished The Chronicles of Aurion and all my other short stories...

Book Review: Midnight Tides (Malazan Book 5)

Midnight Tides, the 5th book in the mega epic that is Malazan Book of the Fallen, is a bit of a departure from the series in many ways, and it's great!Steven Erikson has said that unlike other series, the Malazan book does not always flow in a chronological order. World Building: Setting

World building is the part of the writer's craft that establishes the very world(s) that your story is set in. In genres like Sci-Fi and Fantasy, worldbuilding must take center stage in the writing process if the you want to craft a great story. As a fantasy author, I have become well accustomed to worldbuilding. In fact, it has not only become my favorite aspect of the craft (aside from the writing itself), but it is actually what drew me to the genre. That being said, worldbuilding is every...
