Into the woods… Well, Hatter’s into something.

After much ocd drawing & redrawing, I’ve completed the art that I’ve been teasing you with the last couple blog entries. It’s one of my favorite erotic images in Madness and Wonder, so I felt the need to get it as close to what’s in my minds eye as I can. (It takes place deep in the woods of Wonderland, so keep an eye open for the giant mushrooms on the horizon.) I think the result isn’t just hot bondage sex, but something intimate and beautiful too. If you want to find where the image comes from its towords the end of chapter 40.

Being that it is explicit, I’ve posted it in the Adult bonus content section. It’s under: Into the Woods (cropped color version) & Adult coloring pages (black & white), along with the black & whites from the erotic tea party in the opening scene.

Enjoy.

The face of Hatter

A couple days ago I posted a drawing I’ve been working on but wasn’t quite happy with yet. I’m much happier now.

It’s still a work in progress, and I still need to do some tweaking and the background, but I’m pretty happy that I kept trying new things till I was satisfied with perportion, position, foreshortening, etc.

This is going to be part of an explicit add (only much bigger than the finished add) for Madness and Wonder. Possibly also an alternate cover art at some point.

The face of Hatter

So, without further delay, I give you the face of Hatter:

Face of RosieI’m not sure I’m done with her yet, but here’s a sneak peek at the face of Rosie too:

(& yes, they are in the midst of what you think they’re doing.)

…and here’s the forest behind them…

Not the face of Hatter

I find it much easier to express what I see in my minds eye in writing than visual art, but I find myself trying to draw Hatter & Rosie for a set of explicit adds for Madness and Wonder. Today I worked on Hatter and Rosie’s faces, and I know the add is so small that no one would be able to see details, but for my own artistic needs I’m drawing them with as much detail as possible.

So, here’s the face I’ve drawn for Hatter. It’s much too young & clean looking for Hatter, and the expression is much too mild (should be some passion there), but it’s not a bad head…

Not quite Hatter

(Yes, he isn’t wearing a shirt… Or, if you could see lower, anything else for that matter.)

I’ll have to sit on it for a while & decide if I’m going to scrap it or go with it.

Rosie’s face is frustrating me too, but she’s much less Nsfw, so you’ll have to wait till the drawing is all done (& be over 18) to see her face. I’ll post it in the bonus content section with the other explicit Hatter & Rosie drawing.

& don’t worry, I am also still working on book 2 Wonder in the Prime.

Sneak peek at a new Fey-born talent

Sometimes a bit of dialogue just needs to be shared. Not going to spoil who gets this new talent, just know it’s a moment from Wonder in the Prime, book 2 of the Wonder series.

“If it has a face, but no awareness, I can see through it. The faces that pull me to look most, see magic, and when it’s strong enough I taste it. You, my queen, taste delectable.” He intimately whispered the secret of his talent into Rosie’s ear, and she felt goose bumps rise across her body.

Halloween pumpkin/character preview

Yes, it’s a painted Halloween pumpkin, but it’s also a character from book 2, Wonder in the Prime.

Tree of Possibilities pumpkin

Meet the tree of Possibilities surrounded by her ethereal shards… I’d tell you more, but that’d be a spoiler. Ok, one more tidbit, she floats in space & is the size of a planet.

Erotic Madness and Wonder art, for kinky advertising

In my quest to find places to connect with readers, I’ve been looking into new places to advertise Madness and Wonder. One of them is a site called fetlife, according to them it’s like Facebook for Kinky adults. Madness and Wonder has light bondage, sex between a shifter Fey-born  and a high fey Fey-born, a monster with tentacles, and a good amount of explicit sex. Sounds like a book for the kinky (or kinky curious) right? Some of the fettishes represented are way past what I write (or knew about before), and make me feel pretty “vanilla” (a term used on the site for the kink-less), but I’m sure there’s a range of what people are in to & I’m thinking my writing might be just what someone on fetlife is looking for (hopefully lots of someone’s). I don’t see other books advertised, so either it’s an untapped market or people on the site don’t buy many books. I’m hoping for the first.

So, my next thought is the adds I’ve done for mainstream places like Facebook and Amazon probably wouldn’t get any attention on a fettish site. I usually have to make my adds more politically correct, in case someone underage is looking, but here the sex needs to be obvious instead. So, like I did around the book launch, I decided to pull out another artistic skill (aside from writing) and do some sketches for add ideas. Once I have an add put together for their specifications I’ll contact them & see if there might be a third option of ‘they don’t do book adds’. I want to finish the add concept before I contact fetlife, so even if I don’t end up advertising with them I’ll have an starting point when I find another adult site to advertise on.

If you are interested in a couple images pulled from Madness and Wonder‘s first scene (yep, where Rosie plays a sexy fem March Hare in wonderland with Hatter), they are in the adult bonus content section. I’m pretty happy with the drawings, so I hope my readers will enjoy them too. Kinda tame images for fetlife, but still containing a nude woman and the suggestion of a sexual act, so they must be past the over 18 barrier here.

When I’m done designing the add (wether I end up advertising on fetlife or not) I’ll add it to the same page so you can see the art in a state past line art. Though, as they are, the drawings make great adult coloring pages (just don’t let the kiddies see), I’ve colored one twice before I finalized the design :).

Inkshares

Don’t forget to check out Madness and Wonder on inkshares. Even if you don’t sign up for an account & preorder (though I hope you will. If I win the Nerdist collection competition, I get the help marketing my book that will get it known.), you can read chapter 11 there for free (…assuming that you’ve read the first few chapters of the Kindle book with amazon’s preview,& want a little more before you evidence if Madness and Wonder is something you’ll like.).

Or, you could just go buy Madness and Wonder on Amazon.

If you have already read Madness and Wonder, please review it on Goodreads &/or Amazon.

Madness and Wonder on Goodreads and Inkshares

In my continuing search for readers, Madness and Wonder is now on Goodreads and Inkshares.

If you haven’t heard of Goodreads, it’s a community for Readers to find out what their friends are reading and to find new books they might enjoy. When you join, and rate the books you have read, they have a good tool to suggest new books you may like based on your tastes. I’m hoping that Madness and Wonder will find loads of new readers this way (once I get a few reviews).

Inkshares is a crowd-sourced publishing tool, and though I am published on Amazon, I’ve joined Inkshares to try to get selected for the Nerdist collection and take advantage of their marketing to… yes, find new readers. The Nerdist collection will pick the top 5 entries, so please follow one of  the Inkshares links and become a reader. I’m also happy that they allow a sample from any part of the book, so the free sample of Madness and Wonder on Inkshares is chapter 11 (one of my personal favorite scenes).

If you have read Madness and Wonder, please write a review and post it to both Goodreads and Amazon. The best way for readers to find my book is good reviews, so please share your thoughts to pique other readers interest.

If you haven’t read Madness and Wonder yet: it’s for sale on Amazon, and has free sample chapters to download (first 6 chapters for Kindle), and now that I’m on Inkshares, you can read chapter 11 there for free too if you still want more before you buy.
