Celebrate the Small Things-June 3, 2016
It's Friday! Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain! Tonja Drecker and I are her co-hosts.
On Thursday, my husband and I celebrated being married for nine years. It's hard to believe it's already been that long.
My kids finished school this week, so now it feels like summer. They also have a T-ball game later today, and they're excited about that.

A Special Announcement!
In my post on Friday, I said I had two pieces of exciting news to announce, but I had to wait until the right time. Well, I can announce one of them now. The other will have to wait just a bit longer.
I recently submitted a story for an anthology. Circuits & Slippers features classic fairy tales told through the lens of science fiction. I decided to write and submit a science fiction

It's Friday! Let's Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain. Tonja Drecker and I are her co-hosts.
I'm not going to lie. It's been a bit of a rough week. The illness I mentioned last week spread throughout the house. I got sick. My oldest son Jude got sick. No fun. One of our cars also broke down. We still haven't gotten it fixed, either. With my husband at work and illness

My youngest son Lyle came down with a stomach bug last night. It involved a fever of 101 and vomiting, but now he's keeping down everything he eats and he isn't running a temperature. I'm glad this bug, unpleasant as it has been, seems to be running its course quickly. Fingers crossed

A to Z Challenge Reflections and Celebrate the Small Things-May 13, 2016
It's hard to believe that the A to Z Challenge is almost two weeks behind us. I'm still feeling a bit of blogging fatigue, as I'm sure many others are.
I'm glad I decided to offer writing advice for my challenge theme this year. My goal was to hopefully help fellow writers as well as to boost my own confidence as a writer. I don't know how much my advice actually resonated with anyone (
