Why Does Congress Suck?

In which John Green seeks to explain why the United States congress has become so astonishingly inefficient that it can't even reach a compromise to avert disaster, and why--thanks to clever redistricting--most congresspeople are now incentivized not to work seriously on policy. Along the way there's a bit of historical context, a lot of frustration, some screaming, and a celebration of the beginning of the 7th year of the vlogbrothers channel.

Thanks for sticking with us, nerdfighters. (And thanks for reading the entire dooblydoo!)

Nood Oods, Drums, Donuts, Fish, the USDA, P4A and SLEDDING!

In which Hank is a little bit weird and has a hard time concentrating, but does eventually get around to the point...well...actually not really, I don't think there's much of a point to this one.

Oh, and to answer the contemplative question I ask myself in the video...if two sets of identical twins got married to each other, the kids they have would be /biologically/ siblings, but of course /geneologically/ cousins. WEIRD RIGHT!!

Meet the Team: The Missoula Office (And P4A and TheBrainScoop)

http://www.youtube.com/thebrainscoop

We've been making Crash Course and SciShow for more than a year now and, of course, we can't do it by ourselves. So I wanted to take you around our offices a bit and introduce the people who help us make this stuff.

http://www.youtube.com/scishow
http://www.youtube.com/crashcourse

Also, we raised a CRAZY amount of money through the Project for Awesome. There were also a CRAZY number of videos made promoting charities and IndieGoGo assures us that we've broken a number of their records. So that's pretty dang cool.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the P4A a success this year.

In which John introduces the sixth annual Project for Awesome, when
YouTube is taken over for one day by videos about charities. My

organization that has done amazing work with the nerdfighter community
over the last five years and hopefully will continue to be a huge part
of our community for years to come.

Let's reduce worldsuck! Every comment on a project for awesome video
over the next 48 will be one penny I have to donate to charity, so
